Its ummm...different.

The fruity kick kills it for me...that and that it sounds a little empty...yea yea thats how you wanted it blah blah blah, I dont need to hear it. Over all its listenable...Not your best. I really liked your FF6 one more. Well thats really all..the kick and the emptynessnessnessness.... Overall some not bad stuff going on here.

Very very catchy tune for the most part. I didn't recognize the fact that the music was fromt he 2000ad section of the game until the 2:30 mark of the song.

I'm still determining if I'll keep this on my play list for long. Not your 100% best work man, but it's not bad either.

Bah, what the hell, no one likes the kick drum? It's actually a synthesized kick, and not a sample... I personally think it fit very well with the style I was going for. I didn't want it to be breakbeat, and I didn't want it to be trance. I DID want it to be electro... I think the kick pulls that off quite nicely. But whatever, an opinion's an opinion.

The first word that came to my mind when listening to this mix: Pimpin'. Yup, the deep resoinating notes gave me the mental image of someone walking down the street... in a pimage kinda walk, the cane, furry jacket, sunglasses and all. Y'know doing the whole *gunshot with hand* kinda move to the ladies when he passes by, gotta love the mix, biatch!

I like this one a lot. I think the kick thingy fits well. I don't recognize what it's based from at all, I only played CT for a few weeks on my emulator, but I love it none the less. It's definately a relief from the techno/orchestrated CT remixes.

:) Me likey!

Beatdrop.... I'm dissapointed in you I know you can do alot better and it displeases me to have to rate this song. eck. Anyways here goes,

| 5 | Concept: This song earned a five simply because I had absolutely no clue what Beatdrop was trying to with it. It seemed rather random and out of place. It reminded me too much of old early 80's techno trax. mixed with some sort of semi breakbeat. The reason it didn't earn a one is simple because he was very consistent nonetheless with this if that makes any sense. I'm not sure how to explain it. I guess it's becuase usually Beatdrop would have no problme in this area but he decided to take a big rish whcih turned out to be blunderous but nonetheless there was still the fact the he is no newb and still managed to make it work to a certain degree. I'm still not sure if I managed to adequately express myslef on that on. Sigh.

| 8 | Repetition/Timing: Maybe this will help. He kept the song flowing even though he broke some rules and managed to create various recombos that kept it together. No one can say that this song fell apart in any area with the partial exception to that err drumsolo. It built up nicely but nothing really spectacular ever happened.

| 3 | Synths/Samples: I understand he mixed the drum himslef but I still don't know why he chose that particular kick. It sounded like the default syth drum on the ancient midi based software I first began using when I began mixing ages ago. Personally I think one of those "Realistic" kick sample would have sounded nicely here or depending on his mixing ability he might have made one himself. The other synths including the rest of the percussion just seemed a bit off. He mentioned he was going for an electro sound. I'm a fan of true electro particularly modern but this just wasn't it. This sounded retro but not nostalgic.

| 9 | Structure: Nothing wrong can be said about the structure. It was entirely solid and flowed smoothly. This is a sign of any decent mixer.

| 6 | Transitions: Most of the transitions were very simple and plain. there was one however that really annoyed me. It seemed he was turning down low frequencies at random at the very beginning of the song with the bass when he was introducing other voices. It just didn't work

| 6.2 | Overall: Skill shown through the darkness on this song despite the poor tools and style chosen with which to implement them. I'm not really sure what else to say about it I think I have already summed it all up.

Okay Mr. Drop.. Pretty good mix, I dig what you were doing, there were a few problems.. but.. Bottom Line? i really have heard better out of you. Ive heard you say you worked hard on this, so .. im not saying this is bad, infact i like it, I just think.. er.. I KNOW your capable of producing better. The mix stays static a bit too much, There are a few parts that i don't dig because they don't complement each other, and that pop drum sound needs to be replaced.

0:01 - I love the static in the intro.. and how it fades out.

0:18 - Cool instrument here.

0:30 - Cool Beat. As should be expected of Beatdrop..

0:55 - That lead is kinda getting boring by this point Beatdrop, i wish you'd mix it up a bit by this point.

1:20 - Cool stuff here.. I think that beat needs to be a bit..Deeper.

1:43 - Im not sure if i like this. I don't think it complements.. i think it contradicts, which doesnt let it flow, I mean, i can tell it sort've works, but i really think something could sound better.

2:15 - That same line is also keeping it kinda boring by this point, but you DO remedy it up soon.

2:49 - The highlight of The mix beat, Excellent work stuff here. but i think i hear a flat note at 2:55-2:56.. maybe its just my ears. also that sound thats the drum beat at 2:29 - the "pop" sound, i don't like, needs to be deeper. and then you bring it in even harder at 2:48.

3:08 - I like the intro, its quick, and actually does its job rather well.

Cool beats, maybe what you have to expect from the beatdrop himself. But they did sound familliar, at some point I thought Michael Jackson would jump out and start singing. HE-HEY!

Anyway, liked it, was very funky together with that electric synth of yours, put a little spice in it.

If you can´t beat it, drop it.

The sounds used are fine, though I gotta say im in the camp of people who think the kick is a bit wimpy. My main issue with the track is that the flow is strange. It doesn't really drive, it doesn't really chill, it does a little of both.

There are some cool transitions in here, and the ending is decent too, but overall I wasn't really feeling this one. Sorry dude. :-(

Well I for one love this.

It presents its 3 acts very well, it keeps things interesting the whole way through, and it does something very extraordinary by giving a Chrono Trigger mix a FRESH feel. I think of Chrono Trigger as the game whose soundtrack I've heard quite a few too many times, so when 'Ruined Landscape' started playing, I was pretty surprised to learn it was in fact CT. That's hard to do.

The staple element is the synth that starts about mid-way through. I think that's pretty much the energy of the piece; the core, if you will. Without it, things would seem a little more desolate.

I'm glad this mix exists, and just because this isn't Beatdrop's defining moment, it should still garner some serious appreciation for what it is and what it does.
