AkumajoBelmont Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 Little known fact... along with Mega man 'Chillout', this is my fave OC remix ever... i actually really like the percussion as is... a true classic... has a really unique sound... and i've played this song almost every day since the very first time i downloaded it. watkinzez Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 This mix is transporting. Not many songs on OCR can be described as such. What it does with the materials it has is quite simply awesome. The instrument quality used isn't the best, but the way they are put together is masterful. I haven't heard anything quite like this, which makes it a memorable piece. Even if you've never heard of the game (I haven't), this one is most definitely worth a listen, and if a "Best of OCR" compilation was ever made, this would deserve a spot for being unique and different, and doing it well. (Sorry to bring in the concept of rankings- I would disapprove of such a compilation. The fact still remains that this is the best of its kind on OCR) Quote
Liontamer Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Could have sworn I commented on this way back in the day, but I guess not. Definitely a great interpretation here of a very boring, plodding original. I loved the sounds and textures here, and this one has always been an old favorite. Wish Andy was still more involved in the community. Don't overlook this one. Quote
Fiendofthenorth Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Wonderful, wonderful remix. This is one of those remixes I just keep coming back to because I listen to it and I can just let my mind try to recreate the scenario for this music...Halls of Abandonment? A women running through long manor halls that are lit but empty... At least, thats what comes to my mind. I always like to let my mind wander with these excellent remixes. Quote
goombapatrol Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 i liked all but the fade-out. overall, very nice and original. Quote
Nobbynob Littlun Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Six years later, and this song is still fresh and awesome. Quote
metalsnakejuice Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 listening to it right now, this really is a fantastic mix that has awesome written allover it. Quote
Eino Keskitalo Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 One of my favourites. I think this mix was the one that made me check out what this OCR thing really was. --Eino Quote
yosefu Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 May this song live forever because its just so awsome to listen to. Quote
OceansAndrew Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Great opening mood on this mix, and though it's more of a rhythm + chord progression track, it has enough layers to keep it pretty interesting. Some of the leads seemed a little piercing, but overall i was cool with this one. Quote
avaris Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Def a cool little unkown track from the middle part of the decade. A chill track great for studying and relaxin with. Quote
Melbu Frahma Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 Just discovered this track. Great atmospheric piece, really dark and mellow - I can't stop listening to it. Spot on. Quote
ncocs Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 Great track, I really like the intro. Quote
WesternZypher Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 When the world has me down, I listen to this. Doesn't make me happier exactly, but makes me feel like I can deal with it. A great mix. Quote
swansdown Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Like WesternZypher, I find this very uplifting. Last Unicron has given this track a noble sound like as for travelling near the end of a quest. I think this would fit well in a later stage of a Wizardry game. Halls of Wonder, even. Wonderful mix! :3 Quote
Eino Keskitalo Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 This is probably the track that pulled me into OCReMix. The previous two comments are spot on. --Eino Quote
compil3r Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Yes, indeed. I discovered OCRemix thanks to this track, is amazing. Still lives on my mp3 library to date. Volume goes all up when it shows up on shuffle! Quote
