The Unsung Plumber Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 And in our next act, the role of "Cranky Dad Behind the Wheel" shall be played by Darkesword, while the roles of "Kids in the Back Seat" are played by various OCR posters...OCR- Is it done yet? Kenobio Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Alright, you know what, everybody? Enough of that. Please don't start annoying me, it's not going to get the stuff out any sooner, okay? /obligatory
Bundeslang Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Well, the main goal from this album was to do something for bLiNd while he was sick. The album was created for him and he already listened to it. The album will be open for public as well, but that wasn't the main goal. So be happy it will be published. If it's out tomorrow or next month, does it really matter much. If it's out next month you have a month to look forward to this. If it's out tomorrow then you listen to the songs the day after tomorrow and the day after the day after tomorrow there's nothing to look forward too. So, in other words, BE PATIENT.
The wingless Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 OF COURSE THE MAIN GOAL WAS PUBLIC RELEASE!!! fucking Darkesword or drakesword or "Shariq don't like it, lock the taskbar"... do your *fucking* job, and release that CD into my mouth! I"M INSANE!
Nutritious Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 I heard the wingless is the prince of space fixed 10
Velocifero Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 It made sense to me why it isnt out yet once the Doom II album was released. After its time in the sun, I'm sure this Metroid album will get its chance. You guys should be used to this, Mr. Lloyd's been doing it this way forever.
zykO Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 that and the fact that bundeslang is very smart and nailed it. he said it perfectly already on the previous page patience, grasshoppaz
The Coop Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 It made sense to me why it isnt out yet once the Doom II album was released. After its time in the sun, I'm sure this Metroid album will get its chance. You guys should be used to this, Mr. Lloyd's been doing it this way forever. This is a good point, except for one important detail... this isn't an official OCR album release. It's just something thrown together in about a week's time for bLiNd to lift his spirits. So the albums of OCR don't (or at least, shouldn't) have anything to do with the timing of this musical get together's release To all the impatient OCRians, there's an old(ish) phrase that's been used in game making a lot, that also applies to this... that being, "It's done when it's done". This isn't going to be a Duke Nukem Forever-type thing, so just chill for a while. Once the mirrors are loaded and the site's finished (and everyone has sent in their track info), it'll come out.
The Mutericator Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 I still don't understand why someone can't just make a torrent first and send it out to everyone. Then again, I couldn't care less about the site or mirrors - all I'll be doing is going for the .torrent file and letting it run.
Velocifero Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 Official or not, an album with this much attention would draw focus away from even the prestigious official ones. A little distance between the two is a good idea.
Strike911 Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 Personally, I like the idea of a project finishing quickly. They often drone on and on and on, and I understand the idea of quality control, but this was certainly refreshing to take part in, and even more so, seeing it come to fruition. Plus it was for a fantastic cause.
HoboKa Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 I know this is kinda late - but these may cheer up poor ole Blind... http://www.tindeck.com/audio/my/kvgq/SM_Horror_Flick http://www.tindeck.com/audio/my/zgdr/Brinstar-Remix_Ver3 If you're reading this Blind, I'd like you to know that you're one of my biggest inspirations here. Get well!
SoundWave Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 What's happening here? *BUMP* I would like to know that as well...
Gollgagh Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 The project has accomplished its purpose. We other listeners are secondary to that and should feel lucky if it gets posted at all. They'll release it when/if they feel that bLiNd has had enough "exclusive listener" time.
The wingless Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 That's the dumbest excuse I've heard in a long time. Clinton-era dumb excuse.
Gollgagh Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 doesn't mean that I don't want it I'd get them to release it this instant if I could
Darkflamewolf Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 I believe it was mentioned that they are getting track info from all the authers and setting up download links for the set. So we're probably most likely waiting on authors to send in their info for their tracks.
Nario Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Mine was sent many moons ago. Just thought I'd mention that because I don't frequent this board very much and some may be wondering about quiet ole' me.
Monobrow Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Yeah, give us the candy, okay? I want to eat the candy.
zykO Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Yeah, give us the candy, okay? I want to eat the candy. i want to eat YOU and your tiger
