OCRA-0012 - OC ReMix: Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix Official Soundtrack

Recommended Posts

Woot! Thanks for the vid, BGC; it's always great to see really good finished work from the workstation.

And for the laughs...

wat is that program?
... needless to say, people on there do not read the comments OR watch the entire movie when commenting. Seriously, he couldn't take the time to read the comments? You answer that damn question at the end of the vid and you say that in your comments (I guess he had more pressing matters and couldn't wait through TWO DAMN MINUTES! Impatient dipshit...).

...Sorry, stupid people piss me off. Nice vid!

Finally got around decoding this from FLAC and encoding to a format I like and noticed that tracks 55 and 56 aren't 44.1 kHz stereo WAV's according to what EAC whines me about them. And checking them they seem to be 48 kHz. Just a small nod.

Thankfully foobar likes to convert them anyways. :P

Now just to do bit of tagging and then listening this one, let's see if it can top Blood on the Asphalt.

I just got to play this for more than the demo. Good work all around. Even the pieces that I didn't care for individually work within the game. Ones I did like already were of course a treat to hear in context. Thanks!

Hi,

This SSF2T HD Remix Official Soundtrack is awesome for the ears :-) ! \o/

I would like to know if the mp3 tracks are in (pure?real?true?) stereo? or in joint stereo? Same question for the flac tracks (I haven't finished downloading them yet, I'll listen later) .

I'm not sure if mp3 tracks are in stereo, there are some sounds that can be heard on both sides, and other sounds more on left than right side, and others sounds more on right than left side. But it seems there are no sounds that can be heard only from one side?

I'd assume that would be more the panning decisions of the mixer rather than joint vs. true stereo. Personally, I rarely pan an instrument 100% to one side.

I liked Blood on the Asphalt better, but the new tracks that were added since then make this a good album. I wonder why T. Hawk, Dee Jay, Dhalsim, Fei Long, Cammy, Ken, and Vega didn't get new tracks...:?:

The original of this song (Sexy Trunks) is my prime time favourite Nintendo track, whatsoever, no question about it.

I have been playing SF2 since the age of 6 (now 24) and i still play with my friends pretty often (well actually mostly by myself since they are sick and tired of still being kicked the shit out of after 18 years, but i play almost every day if i get the chance).

I simply adore the entire Street Fighter II tracklist and still after so many years it is not seldom i catch myself dead drunk on an afterparty trying to put on "SFII Guile Theme" on someones laptop for everyone to hear.

I am no music creator or remixer, and i am sort of conservative, although I have worked as a DJ for some years playing mostly house music.

I have heard a lot of remixes from the Street Fighter franchise and i always tend to turn back to the original soundtracks. When i heard this remix of Balrog Stage Theme this was not the case.

I must say this is an incredible tune.... I dare say it's even better than the original. Or at least i think this is what the original should have sounded more like (even though it may not have been possible due to hardware). It reflects the "Balrog setting" much better with the smoothly operated glizz-and-glam/casino/lose-all-of-your-money-without-even-noticing factor.

When i hear this incredibly familiar melody performed on a sax it reminds me very much of "Dire Straits - Your Latest Trick" which used to be one of my dads favourite songs back when i played SF2 the most. This might be the or a reason i love the tune so much. Either it is or not, i love the tune nevertheless.

Hats off for Neo, insane work!!! You must be and I hope you are remarkably proud to have your very own version of this legendary tune now compiled in as an official soundtrack in the epic and forever lasting franchise of Street Fighter II.

God i wish i were you.
