Black Mage Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 I decided to try my hand at doing one of those customized debit cards from my credit union. I uploaded one of my wallpapers and cropped it and submitted it. I really didn't hold any hope that they'd print it, because they're pretty strict about what you can and cannot have on your card. Really, this should not have passed, but, for some reason...it did. Either the person approving card designs wasn't paying attention and didn't realize what it was, or they knew what it was and agreed with the awesomeness! Quote
sefirosu Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 I would have let it pass! Dude that's awesome. Quote
Theory of N Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 I love how the logo in the top right kinda looks like the crest Quote
Antipode Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 I love how the logo in the top right kinda looks like the crest I was just thinking that! It works very well for the card. Quote
Elex Synn Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Haha oh man, that's great . Always great to have when you don't have any rupees on ya. Quote
Gollgagh Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 sooooo why did you bother censoring your last name if you went ahead and put your full name into your OCR profile, Mister Thomas Hamilton? Quote
Elex Synn Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 sooooo why did you bother censoring your last name if you went ahead and put your full name into your OCR profile, Mister Thomas Hamilton? Not to mention a semi-credible sounding home location... Ogden-ish, Utah? I think we should drive out there and jack his card. Quote
Mustin Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 zomg Why doesn't my bank let me design my own card! Quote
Black Mage Posted April 7, 2009 Author Posted April 7, 2009 sooooo why did you bother censoring your last name if you went ahead and put your full name into your OCR profile, Mister Thomas Hamilton? Because this, my friend, is the internet and things have a way of leaking through the cracks and pores. And how do you know how "ish" Ogden-ish truly is? lol Quote
Raziellink Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 A Bat-creditcard....they gave him...a BAT-CREDITCARD?! Quote
Flare4War Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 My friend some how got them to print this image on his card. I thought it was pretty sweet. The first time he submitted it they rejected it and he said screw it and resubmitted it and they did it. According to their guidelines it shouldn't have passed, but it did. Quote
Calpis Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Very nice. I keep thinking of doing this (I'm with America First as well) but didn't think they'd pass something this awesome. Quote
Flare4War Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 I think it really just depends on who is reviewing the submitted images. Some by the books tightwad old lady is going to reject everything, get some guy in his 20's he'll probably let a lot more flow through. Quote
Guy In Rubber Suit Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 That's awesome. I'm not aware of Wells Fargo doing something like, anyone know if they do? Quote
DJMetal Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Holy crap! SWEET! I wonder if I could get one with Big Bosses' mug starin' at me on it... Quote
Black Mage Posted April 8, 2009 Author Posted April 8, 2009 Very nice. I keep thinking of doing this (I'm with America First as well) but didn't think they'd pass something this awesome. My friend Ryan tried to make a Transformers one with the Autobot's insignia, but they rejected it. I had tried another picture some months ago, using Bean's OCR-Tan, but that one was rejected, too. Geoffrey Taucer Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Holy fucking shit that is all kinds of awesome. I WANT ONE! Quote
Gio5py Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 That is so cool! I want one! Not yours specifically... Quote
ZealPath Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Wow I'd love to do something like that, very cool! hmm wait a sec... starting to visualize the odd stares I'd get... eh what the hell, I'd do it anyway! Quote
Dj Mokram Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 That's huge! So huge in fact, that next time you'll try buying a Zelda game with it, they'll let you have it for free. As it is now your rightfull property. Quote
Xenon Odyssey Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 That's is all kinds of bad-ass. A Zelda game where Ganondorf causes massive banking fraud and the ecomony crumbles? Quote
