KyleJCrb Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 As far as I am aware, Chudah's Corner normally uses tracklists translated from original Japanese releases, so it's probable that the original Japanese soundtrack listing has the track as "Valley of the Fallen Star". The FF7 Piano Collections tracklist also refers to the song by that title. I'd say both are correct.
Kaden Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 I say who really cares? It sounds good right? That is all that matters.
Mustin Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Okay, Kaijin. Oh wait - that's not your name? I say who really cares? It sounds good right? That is all that matters, right Kaijin?
Kanthos Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 There's multiple translations for titles going around for most Square-Enix OSTs, especially in cases where the OSTs were actually released with English track listings. The fan-translated versions of the Japanese OST track lists sometimes tend to be more literal translations than the official translations on the English track listings.
Mustin Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Right. Fan translations can be scary, too. Most everyone thinks "October Mermaid" from Xenogears is "June Mermaid." I made this mistake on our Time & Space CD but then hired a professional for the actual Xenogears album and got all of the translations correct this time. Gotta watch it!
Fishy Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Xenogears has a record of poor translations. Is it actually Shevat or Shebat? I unno...
Steffan Andrews Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Xenogears has a record of poor translations. Is it actually Shevat or Shebat? I unno... Is it unno or dunno? You be the judge.
Dyne Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 BUMPAGE! Yeah, I'm bored, and trollin', but this project is important to me. Almost as important as wings are right now. Mmm...teriyaki!
HoboKa Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 I'm unsure if this question has been addressed before...but are all the songs going to be new, or are some of them already on the site? Nevertheless I'm definately gonna DL this project. Moreover, I'd like to thank SGX, Zircon, Star Salzman and all the other kick assed remixers in making this project. Oh, and don't forget to buy SGX's new album that's coming out soon (his electronica music, I mean ;-D ). (BTW, are the rumors for the Legond of Dragoon project true ?)
zircon Posted April 6, 2007 Author Posted April 6, 2007 All mixes are new and created for the project.
HoboKa Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 All mixes are new and created for the project. thx dude
Dyne Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 (BTW, are the rumors for the Legond of Dragoon project true ?) No. Those rumors are totally false...
Harpendum Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Aw crap .... *raspberries* >: Someone needs to get cracking on a Legend of Dragoon project. I would...if I could remix to save my life. But I can't.
Thin Crust Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Is it ok to talk and ask questions about ff7 here, or will a severly out of place ff7 discussion be more approiate? There are still some things I don't understand about the game.
KyleJCrb Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 I'd say this thread is more about the discussion of the project, rather than the game itself. If you want to discuss the game, might not be a bad idea to start a thread in the Discussion forum about it. Of course this isn't my project so it's really out of my jurisdiction. BUT, I know the general consensus has been in the past that these threads are used only for discussion that relates in a more direct manner to the project.
HoboKa Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 *raspberries* >: Someone needs to get cracking on a Legend of Dragoon project.I would...if I could remix to save my life. But I can't. rofl, ditto, but I intend to give it a shot. I do have an "ear" for music, but I've never tried to make music before...so I intend to get FruitLoops and give it a shot. But I'm sure that our good friends, the remixers on this site may be coaxed to make a mix or two
Steffan Andrews Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 It's best if we keep the discussion on the FF7 project so people who are interested in where it's at don't have to sift back through pages to find the relevant posts. That being said, we're moving ahead full tilt, trying to get this project out the door. Just have a little patience, we've been saving the best until last.
KyleJCrb Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 You'll likely beat SoS out the door, so don't bother waiting for us.
zircon Posted April 18, 2007 Author Posted April 18, 2007 New sample tracks? How about... a medley? http://www.soundtempest.net/VOTLMedley.mp3 ~6 minutes of selected clips from: Suzumebachi, Sixto, myself, pixietricks, Spekkosaurus (Steffan Andrews), Shnabubula, Tepid, Geoffrey Taucer, tefnek, Darangen, Daniel Baranowsky, LuiZa, Mustin, Jeremy Robson, bLiNd, and Leifo. And this ain't even 1/3 the project.
Sole Signal Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 What, no bustatunez? ...wish I could have gotten in on this. EDIT: Looks like there still may be room?
zircon Posted April 18, 2007 Author Posted April 18, 2007 Only tracks open are boss theme and birth of god. You would have to do a *very* kickass remix of either.
