LuigiFan Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 I REALLY like the way the SMW Castle theme works its way into this mix. Once it started playing I was like, "Hey, that actually works supremely well." Good stuff. Quote
timaeus222 Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Some clipping here and there, though still as great and detailed as I remember. Quote
DDRKirby(ISQ) Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Still as great and detailed as I remember. Some clipping here and there though. Yeah, sorry >.< This is actually the exact same mix that I submitted using FL defaults, verbatim from the competition, so I didn't go back and clean up any of the small mastering issues or use any fancier mastering plugins, etc. This is entirely mastered using a single instance of FL's Soft Clipper, lol xD Quote

MindWanderer Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 This made it into my playlist minutes after I downloaded it from the compo. It certainly isn't easy to make mixpost-quality mixes using vanilla FL, and this was the only entry from the compo that I did keep, but I'm thrilled to see this standing defiantly on the front page, where it belongs. Schneau Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 DDRKirby(ISQ) is VERY quickly becoming my favorite new electronic artist. You gotta love how detailed and varied this song stays. The synth definitely reminds me of Lullaby of Flame. Great job! Quote
halc Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 the way you mixed the two tracks together there at the end was masterful. good stuff as usual man. Quote
BONKERS Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 I never knew default FL could actually sound so good. Quote
Crulex Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Once again, not what you have, it's what you do with it. DDRKirby nailed that home with this ReMix using the basic FL stuff. And I have to say that I really dug the SMW/SM64 transitions here, especially since I like Ultimate Koopa and Koopa's Castle so much to begin with. Sounded natural and it fit nicely. Wonderful electronica piece, this is going straight my music player. Quote
Texjets281 Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 I've beena lurker on this site since about 2005, but this remix was so amazing I actually created an account just to tell you how awesome it is. It's my favorite mix I've seen on this site in a few years, and is easily in my top 3 ever. Keep it up man! Quote
N1fighterpilot Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 FAN-TAS-TIC!!! This is one of the better mixes I have heard in a while. You chose great source material, and made an excellent blend! 2:06 - Brilliant! Gave me chills, man... Quote
Black_Doom Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 This was created only with basic plugins and basic samples? I would never believe it! This is a true masterpiece. Very good tune to jam to. The combination of glitching stuff, some badass chippy synth and great EDM percussion works wonderfully here, making this piece one of my favoritre SM64 ReMixes ever. Quote
Emunator Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 It's absurd up how talented you are, Timmie. With the amount of music that you output, and the fact that most of your music is made around the same chiptune sound pallet, it always blows me away how fresh everything sounds. You're working in a very saturated genre where it's difficult to stand out from the crowd, but you really go the extra mile on the compositional front to make something special everytime you submit. This is a really special piece dude! Quote
