ProjectSpam
Always one of my favorite songs from the Bound Together project. This is incredibly beautiful; something I can find myself lost in for extended periods of time.
GregCaldwell
The piano just sounds so pleasant and gorgeous.. I could really just fall asleep to this. I was expecting something much different then this when I read the title but im glad it turned out to be the way it did.
SirRus
This is really great. Very appropriate title as well. It definitely has the Pocohontas vibe and in a good way too. I keep asking my sister to let me know when you and her are hanging out so I can join and finally meet you in person - haha I almost got to this weekend - I told her to call me if you were at some friend's "moving to a new house party" she was telling me you might be at. Anyway, I'm in town on the weekends so hit me back if you want to hang. And by hang I mean you can play this song and all your other OCRemixes for me haha. Great job buddy. Carboman
Have you ever heard a song so perfect it made you sit back and think ...wow... why do I care about all this pointless shit? I'm amazed how well you portrayed such a powerful feeling. 10 out of 10.
Ventrex
Beautiful work. Very calm, reflective, (my favorite word) melancholy. Normally I've got some mental imagery conjuring and conforming to any good remix/song at all, but for this there's just a pleasant nothing, a small inkling of a stream, water, just a natural, gentle flow on a warm, lazy day. Dhsu's pianomanshipness is the best of OCR, and it's nice to see how the complexity of his mixes has grown as well. Great work. Very approriate title, too! Mr. Fox
Beautiful work. Very calm, reflective, (my favorite word) melancholy. Personally I don't find it very melancholic, but thats just me. I agree with everything else tough. This is sunset song. Also, reminds me of childhood.
GregCaldwell
Also, reminds me of childhood. Yeah me too.. for real : - )
Flare4War
It does remind me alot of the score from Disney's Pocahontus. Very chill. Excellent work.
A-RoN
Excellent!!! This mix motivates me to start taking piano lessons again. 10/
Derachi
Absolutly amazing. I think this one's goin on the old player and ain't comin' off until the MP3 player explodes. 11/10. Edit: Scratch that, I'm getting all the "Bound Together" songs!
Nigel Simmons
I rarely ever like videogame piano arrangements, but I really like this one, and I've never even heard the original! I'm saving this one. Fantastic work, Dshu!
ktriton
Niiiice. The descending pentatonic chords motif reminds me of "Colors of the Wind" by Judy Kuhn (the single from Disney's "Pocahontas"). Anyway, very nice work! Serene, tranquil--great voice leading, too
Black Soul
When I add a song to my library in Windows Media Player, I always assign to it my own "Genre" label. The best of the best, which is very few, get the label "Grand." This remix has been given that label. Amazing work.
Chezmerelda
A friend of mine sent me the link for the Bound Together project page, where I downloaded the whole thing. I think taking the time to slow this particular tune down does it a lot of good. You work extremely well with the piano. The title you chose for your arrangement fits perfectly--listening to it is certainly a few amazing minutes of nirvana.
Agonotheta
I dig this, I like the subtle pauses and hesitations. It does bear a resemblance to Pocahontas but not like you ripped anything off, it's a good thing. It's a great arrangement, but I'd like to see somebody do a 180 and bring out that rad percussion from the original
Felix the Cat
This was very well played. I enjoy this remix because of the simple fact that it was not sloppy. Well played, well done.
Dhsu
Thanks for the comments everyone! If you liked this, be sure to check out all the other Bound Together tracks, as every single one of them is great. Also be on the lookout for some more possible EB coverage from me sometime next month.
Booken
This could easily be one of the most beautiful mix on this site. You got me addicted.
DragonAvenger
Reflective is a great way to describe this piece. Loved the calm feel throughout. I heard the Pocohantus feel right away, being familiar with that soundtrack and not with EB's. Great work as always from Dshu.
Lucentas
Another masterpiece from Dhsu. This piece is as relaxing and meditative as a river or the sea.
Marmiduke
I've been very much into melancholy and/or ominous piano stuff recently, and hearing this is almost emotionally shocking. Like my heart has jumped from an ice lake into a hot spring. Not... accustomed to... uplifting piano music. So pretty... so full of hope and sunshine. *dies of aural hypothermia* Seriously, this music could uplift the unupliftable. It's an amazing emotive piece that I can't get enough of. It's music to dream happy thoughts to. Thoughts like: Joint-handed children skipping through a town made of teacake situated within a meadow of donuts and napping puppies. Otherwise known as Nirvana. OceansAndrew
Exceptional playing and a great piano tone- this is really serene and nostalgic. A little questionable style choice (if it was in fact a choice) at the end of the run near the middle, but overall top notch work. I think Nirvana is a pretty apt title. 42
Since it was both mentioned that this sounds Eastern and Disney's Pocahontas-esque, I can hear both in here, and it's like whoa.... This piece does have a transcendental feel to it, that peacefully calming mood. There's also something in this mix that just makes me smile. I guess its just a touch of nostalgia and familiarity that's been woven throughout here. All in all, I really like this mix A Lot.
SChepulis
I'm a huge sucker for piano pieces and Earthbound, so this remix has two things going for it! On top of that, it is wonderfully played and is both creative, and close to the source material. I'll agree with an above poster: Beautiful!
