The Orichalcon
I haven't seen 300 yet, so I can't really comment. But it seems like it was more of an homage than a parody. ie: they were just doing the style because they liked it, not because they were trying to parody it the way they parodied 24 a couple of weeks ago. Ab56 v2 aka Ash
Yesterday's episode was pretty meh.
Emanon
I actually really enjoyed it as a parody of zombie movies. They perfectly captured homeless people though... Change?
I-n-j-i-n
Yesterday's episode was pretty meh. More like every episodes after the epic Negro Guy episode. Still better than the Manatee Family Guy episodes.
The Orichalcon
Good ending episode to the season. The Snuke probably gets my "favourite of the first half"
OptimusShr
If you notice, the last line of the song goes: "If you stop by Matt's house, you can chill if you're homeless."
Emanon
If you notice, the last line of the song goes: "If you stop by Matt's house, you can chill if you're homeless." I watched the episode again and noticed that. Hilarious.
Decoy Octopus
Huh... this thread hasn't been purged by the hands of time. That's weird. Anyway, new South Park tonight! 1108 - Le Petit Tourette "Cartman discovers the joys of having Tourette’s syndrome. Drunk with the power of saying whatever he wants without getting in trouble for it, he lines up National TV Coverage to take advantage of his new life with no filters." OptimusShr
Cartman having Tourette's... This is not going to end well for the boys.
Calpis
*attempting to revive the thread So did anybody watch the Trilogy? I really enjoyed the return of the Woodland Critters and seeing Mario, Manbearpig, the Katamari Prince and Link in there. Overall it was enjoyable but not quite as epic as I initially thought it was going to be.
Harmony
Yeah, not as epic as I wanted it to be, but I loved the whole Al Gore manbearpig thing, as well as the story surrounding Cartman and Kyle. "We had a DEAL KYLE"
OptimusShr
I loved the trilogy, I feel that part 3 could have been funnier but I still enjoyed it. The ending was win though.
The Orichalcon
I liked it a lot, they could've made a movie out of it if they wanted to. MANBEARPIG! and the way ImaginationKyle was grinning at the end as he went down on ImaginationCartman was funny.
The Damned
I'm watching it right now, and it has to be the funniest stuff from South Park I've seen in a while.
Mustin
Loved the trilogy - mostly nostalgia for me. The first two minutes of Ep II were like the best thing ever. Alien? Predator? Amazing. Speaking of which, can't wait for AVPR. <3 South Park
XZero
Has anyone else noticed the trend they had this season with Cartman? Early on, he put Butters' penis in his mouth. Then, in the Tourette's episode, he "admitted" that he and his cousin put penises in their mouths. Now, he spent three whole episodes trying to get Kyle to suck his balls. Of course, there are excuses for all of these. Cartman wants to humiliate Butters and Kyle, and he can't control what he's saying in the other example, but still, 5 episodes spent with an obsession with male genitalia? I can't help but think that next week they'll spoof the Harry Potter 'scandal' and reveal that they, too, have a gay main character: Cartman. EDIT: He admitted in the Tourette's episode to touching penises, not putting them in his mouth. Thanks, q-pa.
q-pa
*attempting to revive the threadSo did anybody watch the Trilogy? I really enjoyed the return of the Woodland Critters and seeing Mario, Manbearpig, the Katamari Prince and Link in there. Overall it was enjoyable but not quite as epic as I initially thought it was going to be. Don't forget Wario! It seems--as South Park has done in the past--like they were going for that "mock-epic" feeling. What with the music and the suspenseful climax of part II. "We must nuke... our imaginations. 8O" Also, was it just me or did the definition of imagination in part III paralell with the definition of torture being argued around today? Then, in the Tourette's episode, he "admitted" that he and his cousin put penises in their mouths. I thought it was that they touched penises, no? Mustin
Good call, XZero. Let's see how it plays out.
XZero
Sorry, q-pa, you're right. They touched penises, not put them in their mouths. That doesn't change my original post, but I apologize for my inaccuracy, and thank you for pointing it out.
polar-
Not as good as my favorite, go god go, but still pretty damn funny. One of the funnier moments was when an unsuspecting Kurt Russel got raped by the woodland critters... lol.
The Coop
I'm rather surprised that the show is still going, with no apparent signs of cancellation. It's been what... ten-plus years now?
sephfire
And it's still funny too. It's pretty impressive.
Harmony
That's the power of basing a good portion of the shows on current events. Satire and social commentary, as long as it remains creative, never goes out of style. I remember when the Elian Gonzalez thing went down in FL on like a Sunday, and South Park had a hilarious show scripted, animated and ready to go by Wed. After that episode, I started expecting them to be around for a very long time.
