Critical Hit Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 change your residence and download it I can only assume that you would be downloading that region's copy of the game..... NTSC and PAL versions tend to be different, IIRC...? oh, and more importantly, does this mean we have access to JPN only VC releases??? *goes to try it* Quote
Penfold Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Well, I checked this morning, and it was on the North American VC list, so 1000 point later... /10characters Quote
Critical Hit Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Haven't tried Japan yet. Good luck. Weeeelll it turns out Japan isn't even an option on my (or anyone else's, I'm sure) "select a country" list, so oh well. Quote
Imagist Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 North American Virtual Console releases today (I was out trying to FIND a Wii)Balloon Fight (NES) - Make the whole game how it was in WarioWare and maybe I'd download it Silent Debuggers (T16) - An FPS that reminds me of the space station from Buried in Time Paper Mario (N64) - You already know it's out and you're probably playing it right now They weren't up when I went looking at around 10:00 this morning (central time) and I was about to rage. Thank God Nintendo has seen fit to save themselves from disaster. (Except, I'm waiting until I go to Target for work tomorrow so I can buy a points card there and save all of a dollar with my discount.) Quote
Neo Samus Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 Must...find....way.....to....buy....it!!!!! Quote
SilverStar Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 Must...find....way.....to....buy....it!!!!! To buy Paper Mario? Go buy a 10 buck point card from a local game store, cash it in, and download it? Was released in NA today. Quote
Lemonectric Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 This is my first time with Paper Mario, so I'm pretty excited. I've been waiting for it to come to the VC. Quote

The Damned Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 Go to any store that sells video game stuff, and see if they have this little credit card-like cards that say "Wii Points" on them. Buy one (for about ten bucks). Use it to get 1000 points to download Paper Mario. Toys R Us and Best Buy have tons of them. Or if you have a credit card, you can buy some that way. Quote
SilverStar Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 Yeah, you know.. 500 points, 5 bucks. 1000 points, 10 bucks. 2000 points, 20 bucks. So, a 10 buck point card. Quote
supremespleen Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 I've only ever seen 20 dollar point cards. Quote
Imagist Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 I've only ever seen 20 dollar point cards. Yeah this is why I'm asking "What?" Quote
atmuh Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 why dont you just do it the lazy yet intelligent way and just buy points through the wii Quote
Effef Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 Wheee Paper Mario. Well...I found what im going to be doing tomorrow. Quote
Imagist Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 why dont you just do it the lazy yet intelligent way and just buy points through the wii 1) I get tax added to my purchases through the Wii so it's not any different buying a card in the store 2) I get an employee discount at Target that more than compensates for the tax so I get my points cheaper than you do sure it's like $0.50 difference with somewhat high sales tax in Texas but I'm at work anyway so why not pick one up when it's convenient? Quote
The Damned Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 Well then, do it. And then download Paper Mario. And then play it. Ya hoser. Quote
Imagist Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 Well then, do it.And then download Paper Mario. And then play it. Ya hoser. I SAID I WOULD ALREADY jeez mang I'm just still confused as hell by this mention of points cards in blocks of value other than 2000 points for $20. Where have these things been hiding? Quote

Imagist Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 why the fuck is paper mario out before god damn earthbound Because Nintendo promised it over 50 weeks ago (I'm making up numbers wheee). Quote

WesPip Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 id get paper mario but i already got it on n64 so yeah dont need anothergood game though i like the desert town music Ha, I think the same of OoT. I own it on GC twice, and once on N64. Plus Master Quest. But the N64 one is the only version in which Ganon bleeds RED. Quote
The Coop Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 This honestly isn't intended as trolling or anything, but for some reason, I get the distinct feeling that a lot of the best games on the Wii right now, were never actually made for the Wii. Quote

I've been thinking it's Nintendo's way of creating filler until their good stuff comes out. Quote
WesPip Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 I've been thinking it's Nintendo's way of creating filler until their good stuff comes out. Well, that WOULD do it. "What, nothing to play on your Wii? Why not play THIS OLD GAME? It's only a few dollars, and it's freakin' awesome. You missed it the first time around. Buy it now." Seems pretty smart to me, really.
