Dunther Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 A great mix. Loved it in Project Chaos... 9.37 / 10.00 Quote
jmr Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 Yuck, what happened to the encoding? As soon as everything kicks in at 0:22, the quality loss due to the sloppy encoding is evident, even on my crappy laptop speakers. The higher bitrate version hosted on the project's site sounds much better. This track was definitely one of, if not the best on the project. The synth work is frickin' amazing. Quote
Inimitable Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 If they ever make a Guitar Hero game filled with nothing but OC ReMixes, players will be cursing the name of Snappleman as their blistered fingers attempt to recreate his wholesome goodness. Thankfully, you can already create one yourself. Doom "Purgatory" and Zelda OoT "SoS" have already been done. As for this mix, I enjoyed it in PC, and I enjoy it now. Quote
OceansAndrew Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 I've been a fan of this one since the project came out, and it still rocks. I am in love with all the synth solos and the guitars are ok too. Quote
WesPip Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Y'know, the opening bit of the song made me think it was an April Fools-type thing, only in July. Then, the actual song started. It was epic. So I'm not sure how I feel about the opening, but once the REAL music starts, this song's awesome. Quote
Martin Penwald Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 I like the intro. Adds a little fun to the remix. Everything else: the usual Snappleman goodness. This time it's not only about kickin' guitar-solos, but also snyth ones. Amazing stuff; really gets your blood boiling. Quote
WesPip Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 I like the intro. Adds a little fun to the remix. Yeah, I can see that. Still exudes a little bit of an OLR vibe to be, but maybe that was just on the first listen. Quote
Shining Mirage Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 Has been sealed in my iPod forever. Thanks SnappleMan! Quote
TonitoX2 Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 Someone either needs to make a guitar hero II expert hack to play it in the game, or a frets on fire version. it's just too damn good. I can't get enough of it and it definitely pumps me up when I am doing cardio lol Quote
about:blank Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 This has always been one of my all time favorites from Project Chaos. I agree with one of the other reviewers that this does sound slightly lossier than the version on the project's site, but I could hardly notice it over the sound of Snappleman's guitar playing kicking my ass all over the place. There's not only a great performance here, but also very solid production. Also, I might be wrong (and probably am), but to the people addressing the sound in the beginning, I'm pretty sure that's what you hear on the last stage of the game, right before fighting Robotnik (Eggman?). Anyway, it's a very awesome and creative touch in my opinion, and only adds to the already high level of kickassery in the mix. Quote
RenoDJ Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Awesome track. Weird enough I downloaded this track without looking at the artist's nickname and it started playing and at 0:55 I was sure it was Snappleman Great, great, great! Quote
Dante L. Wolfe Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 Just finished listening to it 4 times and man this takes me back. I hated that boss! x3 Quote
SynthesizedStampede Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Dudes. This mix is F'IN GOLD. On my trip to Hawai'i I played this song the most, turning it up on my iPod to the max and just bobbing my head as we drove around the island. It took me back and was just so damn awesome. If you're a Sonic fan, DEFINITE download, like, as in now. Go, click it. You won't stop listening to it: I've played it like 10 times in a row every other day for awhile and haven't gotten sick of it. The song just rocks THAT much. Quote
Shadix Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 I love this song. But hmmm... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TopkgGxGzQs I just noticed that cleverly placed Judas Priest reference. (Skip to 2:33) Quote
SnappleMan Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Wrong song man, you're thinking of The Doomsday (also on Project Chaos). Quote
Shadix Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 That's what I get for not confirming a rumor myself. :E Quote
Dragonmind Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 [Also, I might be wrong (and probably am), but to the people addressing the sound in the beginning, I'm pretty sure that's what you hear on the last stage of the game, right before fighting Robotnik (Eggman?). ] If that's Eggman, then the other laugh is Sonic mocking him. Damn good ReMix, One of my favorites ever! Impresses me everytime. Quote
Duokun Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Always gotta love a remix that includes a retro aspect of the game (properly might I add). This is one awesome remix. The control with the different guitars was simply splendtastic. I smack a "win" sticker on this mix. Quote
BlackPhantom Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Of all the songs from Project Chaos, this is probably my favorite! I love the intro; Original sounds are played, and then, a heavy, rockin' guitar strings in. Rock on! Quote
Marmiduke Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 I have very little to say that can actually convey the concentrate amounts of awesome that flow in the veins of this beast, so I'll simply say this: When a mix utterly owns me on Audiosurf, I get happy. Real happy. Quote
