orkybash Posted September 13, 2002 Posted September 13, 2002 Asterix & Obelix '3 Ways' I'm really liking this. But then again, I'm always very fond of NoppZ's unique (at least to the remixing community) style. For whatever reason, though, this mix strikes me as particularly well pulled off. My only gripe is the fade ending (a major pet peeve of mine). I wish I could compare this to the source material, but I can only go on what NoppZ has remixed, and to reiterate: I like it a lot. Quote
Sesshoumaru Posted September 13, 2002 Posted September 13, 2002 THIS MIX RECIEVES THE... Chef Kawasaki AWARD OF EXCELLENCE! GOOD WORK NoppZ! Quote
(JEDI)Mac Posted September 13, 2002 Posted September 13, 2002 NoppZ, always fresh and original. This is a nice peice and I enjoyed it very much. It has that NoppZ feel to it that I come to know well. It presents itself as a well done, well planned and executed peice. Great stuff NoppZ, can't wait to hear more! Quote
neostormx Posted September 13, 2002 Posted September 13, 2002 Ahhh... this remix is the sh*t. I never played the game, but im TOTALLY FEELING this hot track. Mad skillz yo. Quote
Sherv Posted September 13, 2002 Posted September 13, 2002 I never played the game, but I'm an avid fan of the comics...this was a downright slick tune that NoppZ put together! Great work! Quote
Psionicist Posted September 14, 2002 Posted September 14, 2002 I really like this one. I have been a long time fan of Noppz unique remixes. I really like his style. 3 ways is a happy (as always), damn nice song if you ask me. My personal top10 list has a new member... Quote
Hamu-Sumo Posted September 20, 2002 Posted September 20, 2002 Wow! I have the game and I had never thought that from the music it can make a good remix. But it can! It's a happy and good remix. I like it. 8/10 (1=worst; 10=best) Quote
Christopher Blue Posted September 29, 2002 Posted September 29, 2002 This is a really fun mix to listen to, and its length helps ensure that the one gets to experience alot of different sides of NoppZ remixing skills. I am curious however, what genre does this music fit under? Quote
Kamikaze Noodle Posted December 31, 2002 Posted December 31, 2002 This remix is interesting in that it's not exactly laid back per se, nor is it energetic. It seems to know exactly where it is and where it's going, aand isn't in any rush to get there. I also love those quarter-note piano chords! There so, so, FUN! I like it. Quote
Deryck Khusial Posted June 4, 2003 Posted June 4, 2003 oldschool r&b’s the name and its done very well. the bass and vinyl scratch are two things i happen to dig. not much else stands out individually, but taken as a whole this is great to chill to as long as you’re checking out NoppZ, be sure to get my favorite mix of his, Final Fantasy IV - Damcyan Gangsters (extend this bi0tch!!) surprisingly, the guy also has some great solo piano mixes: Zelda 64 - Ocarina Piano and Final Fantasy VII - Aeris Theme (Piano) Quote
Durinthal Posted December 16, 2003 Posted December 16, 2003 Cool remix, well-done and very long, but that's not a bad thing as it doesn't really get repetitive (from my perspective, at least). An imaginative listener may be able to envision Astérix on a long journey, not rushing toward his goal but traveling at his own pace. Will definitely make it to my regular playlist due to coolness. Solid-Snake Posted January 24, 2004 Posted January 24, 2004 I can only be positive about this remix.. It's real good! Thanks for making this remix, I really enjoyed listening. Keep On making remixes like this. !!..Solid Snake..!! Quote
BlackPhantom Posted March 16, 2004 Posted March 16, 2004 This is definitly a song of good quality! Even though it's longer than what I would prefer, it still keeps me intrested. Definitly well done. Quote
fetusboy Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 be sure to get my favorite mix of his, Final Fantasy IV - Damcyan Gangsters (extend this bi0tch!!) I could if you post a link. Anyway, this remix gives me a flashback of X-zibit's "X" theme song. It might be the rythum of the piano and bassline in correspondance to the beat. Interesting stuff. I likey! Quote
Tex Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 I am a big fan of NoppZ. But I can´t consider it as a ReMix. It´s pretty near of the original tracks, like I remember them from the game; so far away of the submission standards. Although happened that, I still love it. Quote
watkinzez Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 The song is a little close to the originals, but I thought it but a nice spin on them. After checking out the game after hearing this mix and hearing the tunes, the thought that came to mind is how NoppZ put life into them. Specifically, the Londinium music is was sped up and a little groove bias added. It did tend to drag on a bit though- the three songs I felt didn't mesh that well to form a cohesive song. The transitions weren't bad however. Nice overall. Quote
OceansAndrew Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 Very old skool OCR vibe on this one. Decent textures throughout, though it just seems to go on and on.. Production is clean enough, and things sound good, though the samples seem pretty lifeless to me. I think part of it seems like it's just a series of cut and pastes. There aren't really any interesting drum fills, or variations between repetitions. It was Aite, but somewhat dated. Quote
Elrinth Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 well done NoppZ.. I really like it.. It's simplistic, but really nice. I just had to write a comment.. Please make more! Quote
Liontamer Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 A little dated, sure, but this has always been nice and chill. The arrangement was handled pretty conservatively, but was all pieced together nicely. Quote
Muvon53 Posted February 23, 2021 Posted February 23, 2021 A calm, well tuned and arranged ReMix of 3 single tracks. I could listen to it in an endless loop to fall asleep (and that's not bad) Quote
