EvilHorde
I remember reading about this a year ago. Truly a sad event. What really makes me happy though is to see that OCR as a community reacts to things like this. A rare thing to witness in any community, let alone one on the internet. Very heartwarming. I guess music really connects people.
The Last Ghost
Although I've just registered, I've been using the site for years. I remember the news about his death, too. I have the songs Legend of the Snake, and Legend of the Snake 2: Snake vs. Dragon. He did some great work. I would really like to hear some more work from him. What are some other good songs he's done besides Ascension to Cosmo Canyon?
hitokirisabin
Everyone has said pretty much the gist of how I feel as well. It just continues to send chills down my spine that I played his Ascension to Cosmo Canyon on my way home from my manager's funeral. And this happened just weeks before Reuben's passing. I miss them both. Rest soundly.
seagle7
For me it's still hard to beleive he's gone; like it's been said before, I can't listen to cosmo canyon, or the place we knew without thinking aout him. Farewell for another time great composer. May you be a star to guide us all

Secret Agent Mogster
Reuben made some of my favorite remixes to listen to, all of which I still enjoy listening to as often as possible. He was a brilliant musician, and I wish I could have met him. RIP, Reu. (For the record, I can't seem to access any of his music on Pathos, it asks for a password?) bouncerboy15
Man, it's already a year since Reuben's untimely death. Even though he is not here living among us, his music and works will still live on. Rest in peace, Reuben.
Unessential
I'm sure everyone who has come in contact with what Reuben does weather it be his MUGEN characters or his music (both remixed and original), feels a loss as if they had known him personally. I think it's because he puts so much effort and heart into the things he does. Until I heard of his death I never made the connection that the Reuben here was the same Reuben that created the Mugen characters but it makes sense. They are both outstanding and inspirational. Enough so, to make him a distinguished member in both communities. I am sure the same can be said about his other hobbies like dragonboating and activities he may have done in school and with his friends. I can only imagine the loss that is felt by the people who knew him personally.
Ranael
Reuben did "The Place We Knew" with Pixietricks. That remix was on the Chrono Symphonic album and is my favorite from it. His website which is still up has more of his amazing music. You should check it out.
ChrisTheWriter
I certainly dug his anime remixes more than his game music. I've recently been trying to listen to his experimental singles but with no luck since it looks like downloads are no longer available on his Pathos. Anyone know why? And does anyone know that song that plays while the user chooses links on the 3D piano on the Pathos? Man, he would've been my age this year. From the looks of his bio, he seemed like such a dynamic person with high marks in potential. I definitely had alot of respect for him, especially for his music since I've always been a sucker for piano. He was one of my favorites. God Blessings to his family. Sinewav
Wow... he died over a year ago. It doesn't seem that long ago.
Tricon
@ChrisTheWriter, According to this page (http://www.reubenkee.com/httpdocs/singles.htm), the song is "Through Mine Eyes". Unfortunately, I can't verify as all of his music seems to be password protected. RIP, Reuben. You are a prodigy. May your work live on forever. Shhteve
Time has certainly passed since then, but he's still remembered!
HenL
Wow.. I just randomly saw this post on the front page. Even though I didn't know him at all it's still very sad. Ascension to Cosmo Canyon is among my very favorite ReMixes, or any song for that matter. I'm sure he would have gone on to do great things. vindkast
Reuben made some of my favorite remixes, and I was very sad to hear about his passing. It really says a lot about his talent that so many people who never even met him were saddened by his death.
KyleJCrb
Two years tomorrow. Reuben will always be remembered as a talented, professional guy.
Sinewav
Really? It's been two years? I seems like only a few months ago... I didn't know the guy, but even though it sounds weird, I felt like I knew him through his music. Still get kinda sad thinking that he's gone. Gario
Almost two years, eh... I remember when this was on the front page - it's terribly sad. I wasn't a forum member at the time, though (nor was I involved in the forums), so I didn't read the touching thread that coincided with the incident. I honestly haven't understood how connected the community is until now - I'm glad to be a part of it. While I couldn't say it before, he is a remixer that I give my deepest respect, condolences and prayers to. God be with you, Reuben.

And I still listen to Reuben Kee's "Once Upon a Lifestream". This loss is immeasurable. What Reuben did in his lifetime was already extraordinary--if he had survived this event, I have no doubt he would have become a name that would have lived throughout centuries. Rest in peace, Reuben Kee. You were magnificent. And as long as I live, I will continue to share your magnificence. djpretzel, Xaleph, Rexy and 1 other
Jonathan David Arndt
I also was not a forum member at the time. And I still enjoy 'Ryu for Four Pianos' (SFII) and the collab piece 'The Place We Knew' (CT).
