  1. Yo! I uploaded new cover on YouTube. Time for some tactical cardboar...krhm i mean espionage action! :D. In this arrangement, i focused more on drums so i could bring some 80's or 90's feel for it. Feedback is appreciated! Here is the Cover: Here is the Original:
  2. Yo! I published my first collaboration cover with Arzie Van Dee :)! It's Mega Man 2 - Dr. Wily's Castle Theme. Our cover has quite a lot improvisation and original touch, which bends the original theme into a new direction. All feedback is welcome and appreciated!! =) Here is the cover: Here is the original soundtrack:
  3. Here is a remix I am spending time on, so far the sequence is coming together but I would like to open this up as a collaboration. This cover is the song shortly after the prologue in the Sega CD classic "Snatcher". I would record my bass for this but I am having some gain or pickup issues that I'm hoping to get fixed soon. I can make a shared folder with tracks set for each instrument. I hunted for a great saxophone vst and DSK is by far the best I can find but it ain't "sexy sax man".... yes I am in need of a saxophonist (Tenor, Soprano..). I'll post my latest mix and the original tracks below to give an example. Thanks for listening and your criticism is welcome! [BPM] Original:120 REMIX:125 Remix In Progress Original
  4. Hello everybody, REMEMBER CITADEL, Germany's only video game music collective band, is about to release its second four track EP. As an appetizer for the full thing we (or me, this time) put together a little music video of its first track, Old Friends, from the awesome Transistor soundtrack. Feel free to check it out, comment, and also leave a like at: https://www.facebook.com/remembercitadelband/
  5. Waterfall Cave

A fun little, video game-esque Latin, Jazz, African, and whatever else I was feeling at the time type track. Enjoy!
  6. Here's one I whipped up tonight. I thought I'd give a go at trying a Hans Zimmer-type piece. I don't normally write in this style, but it's fun to try new things and practice weak areas. Enjoy!
  7. Hi, folks. I actually shared some earlier attempts of this track more than a year ago here. I haven't changed too much since the conclusion of that thread, but thought I'd share the final track. I had to rush filming the video, so there are some minor mistakes hidden in there. I've also learned a lot about the instruments since recording the audio, especially the pennywhistle, and regret some of the flat playing and technique. That all being said, any thoughts or criticisms are welcome; I'm done with this track, but always looking to improve my awful production. Thanks, and I hope you enjoy it.
  8. Hi all, I finally finished the guitar/bass cover of Tuna Head theme from Thimbleweed Park. It was a hard work and I had bad times transcribing the partitions by ear :-/ There are so much arrangements, and layers of instruments in the OST that it was driving me crazy trying to get the whole thing done... There remain some mistakes, but anyway, hope you'll enjoy the song... To the talented muscians here: I'm really looking forward to hear covers of this great song, please!!!
  9. Yo! I published my first composition on YouTube and i also want to share it with you people here :). It's quite peaceful track.
  10. Hey guys, just submitted something I've been working on for a while. Couldn't get the Rainbow Road theme out of my head so decided it was time to take the guitar to it and do a cover. https://youtu.be/0iFy4PJ35aI
  11. I've always loved the soundtracks from Mega Man X series and it was also one of my favorite games. Got inspired and decided to try some Metal arranges for the tracks in this game. I know it's been done a lot, but rock/metal just fits soo well with the Megaman series. Hoping to get some feedback/thoughts for this track. Would love to hear what y'all think about the arrangement and instrumentation as this is some areas of improvement for me. The mixing part is not done yet and no eq and effects on the drums. Original I'm also working on more tracks from Mega Man X 1 and hope to compile those to make an album. Hope y'all enjoy it >:) \m/
  12. I wanted to produce a synthwave arrangement of the source but couldn't help using "organic" instruments for the leads and drums. I thought it could be interesting to try and find a right balance between synth and organic sounds -- keep those guitars, piano and drums and use only synths for the arrangements (which I'll start exploring way deeper when I find someone with a decent knowledge of synthwave music willing to help me ^^'). Original Source: Remix: I visualized Sonia telling her newborn son the tale of her adventures -- like it's a bedtime story -- when remixing this. Feel free to share feedbacks and whatnot :3
  13. Hello! I hope you're doing well. I've recently started a new video game cover project called "The Geeky Guitarist", which focuses on jazz fusion vgm arrangements and I would love some feedback and opinions. Yesterday I released this cover of the famous Ground Theme: Ground Theme - The Geeky Guitarist My goal for this project in a few months is to release an album, but first im starting off by uploading weekly jazz fusion covers every saturday to establish an audience. I hope you enjoy! Please let me know what you think. Thanks!!
  14. Hi all. I arranged the Heat Man theme from the NES classic Mega Man 2 for 3 classical guitars. Enjoy. By the way, I'm new on OCR and didn't find a topic specifically for instrumental covers. If one exists please let me know and I will re-post. EM
  15. Rock Music #1

Check it out and leave some feedback! Thank you
  16. ^ Remix - Original: I'm interested in any feedback, particularly on interp since I'm not entirely sure if I should submit or not based on that.
  17. I had the afternoon off this last Saturday and put together this little piece. Thought I'd share. I may work on this a little more since it could use some polish in the mix (I barely EQed this), but I figured I'd put out what I had. I'm particularly proud of the solo around 1:48! Let me know what you think! Enjoy!
  18. Here is an acoustic/classical arrangement from dragon quest 7 "days of sadness" and "with sadness in heart" (composed by Koichi SUGIYAMA) For this arrangement, I wanted sthg minimalist in the building and in the instrumentation. I thank @Katamari (guitar), @Chris ~ Amaterasu (violin, viola & cello) and @Arvangath(bass) who have collaborated with me. Enjoy! https://soundcloud.com/bluelighter0085/dragon-quest-7-deeper-in-the-heartmp3

  21. Hello friends! I recently wrote an arrangement of the Underwater theme from Super Mario Bros. and wrote the sheet music/TAB for my arrangement for educational purposes and wanted to share it here in case anyone was interested. Hope you enjoy!
  22. R.A.G.E.

    Check this out! Thank you!!!!
  23. This is a version of the Chocobo Theme I recorded in my teaching room a few years back (tracked and mixed from my phone) and I was thinking about doing a full-blown Irish Folk/Jazz thing with it with solos and some new melodies. I thought the palette was pretty nice for what it is, though! Let me know if this is something you'd be interested in hearing.
  24. Hey everyone, I'm new to the forums but would love to share some of the work I've done with my group Becoming Elephants. It's got a musical vibe similar to some video game soundtracks like Castlevania/Mega Man/TMNT but also some modern sounds that draw influence from progressive rock, metal, and jazz fusion. It's all instrumental and our first album is a concept album. Hope you enjoy it! It's available in it's entirety for streaming on Soundcloud, YouTube, and Spotify. Thanks!
