View Full Version : Help finding a keyboard.

I'm looking to get into remixing and I'm in need of a keyboard on a budget of about $400, however I would like to find one that could double as a piano for my mother. From what I've seen though at this price point it's hard to find a keyboard that's good as a controller and a piano instead of just average at both or horrible at one and good at the other.
Is it possible for me to get something quality for such a low budget?

While you might find something like this (http://keyboards-midi.musiciansfriend.com/product/MAudio-ProKeys-88sx-Keyboard-and-MIDI-Controller?sku=706300) in your price range, you really won't find anything that has fully weighted keys. Some people can deal with that sort of drastic change in action, though. I would take her to shop that has something like the M-audio keyboard in stock and have her try it out.

If you can shell out just a little more, you can get the full ProKeys, which has weighted Keys.
