  10. Wild World title theme is so pretty... Begins with a piano doing the chords from the intro and is soon joined by a percussion. Sound quality does a bit of a disservice to the track early, as the piano sounds low quality and the drum samples aren't great. Particularly, the snare sounds too snappy for the mood of this track, I'd imagine a warmer sound for this. Main melody enters around 0:19 on the marimba/epiano combo while the regular piano does the guitar arpeggios from the original. Source treatment seems very straightforward here and actually reminds me of the Smash Bros. Brawl cover of the theme, although yours is slower than the Smash take. Small moment to relax at 0:42 and then we continue with the B melody. Around 1:08 a second loop begins and there's a solo by the duo starting after a few repetitions of the intro. Drums doing double kick fills near 2:03 it's a little funny. 2:18 has another loop begin and there's a tease of a big change around 2:38 but we return to the main melody (there's a similar tease around 3:04). Track ends kinda suddenly on 3:23 with a lingering piano chord and I dunno why the track extends to 3:53 after it. On arrangement, you took the chill original and gave it a small burst of energy with the new instrumentation, but you didn't do particularly big changes to how it plays. Melodies and chords are kept almost intact and although that is a valid approach it makes me question if it's enough for OCR. I also feel the structure of the arrangement is rather repetitive and not particularly exciting, being basically ABABAB with the second AB being a little different as it has a solo instead of the regular melody. On production I'd say this has some shortcomings but is generally fine. I like the sound of the epiano/combo but the piano and drums leave a bit to be desired. I can tolerate the piano as the low quality nature gives it some warm characteristic but the drums don't really fit the tracks vibe, especially the snare. Overall, I think this isn't there yet, particularly I think the arrangement could be developed more to add more of your own touch and also avoid repetitiveness. I like the chill but slightly energetic vibe you went for though, so there's potential here. NO
  11. Raising my hand for drums and percussions of varying kinds.
  12. I'd like to offer my availability for drums, percussion, and related sounds if so desired.

  15. WIP -- "Cleansing the Lands", V2: VQ & Friends - Cleansing the Lands (Cursed Earth - GEO) - Arrange V2 WIP.mp3 Arrangement is FULLY DONE, unless collaborators want to jump on-board and add their own stuff to it. ♥ No mixing, no mastering, just volume faders adjusted and the instruments. No FX on tracks. Will have no time for Bard or Ranger unfortunately before the 30th is over, but I am proud of all three tracks and hope they're of some service to your vision and this album. o/ :)

  17. WIP -- "Cleansing the Lands", V1.5: VQ & Friends - Cleansing the Lands (Cursed Earth - GEO) - Arrange V1.5 WIP.mp3
  18. Sadly, won't have time for Bard and Ranger updates, but Bard (outside of some melodic change-ups and tweaks) is the full arrangement and current WIP, (no mixing tho, ofc), and there's room for additions and improvements. Ranger needs a lot more work and refinement, but the concept is strongly there. It's not a complete arrangement, but compositionally is very feasible. I've dedicated most of my remaining few days' time to Geomancer, and will probably have the latest WIP available on here by the end of the 30th, so, in time for the end of auditions. :) Hope the 3 at least has some promise...
  19. I'll review all of that, thanks. Going to torch my audition for now.
  20. Later on.mp3 This would be kinda the opening bit, and then have some development and build up more to a bigger feeling later on. Definitely a small group sound to start and then expanding out to full band sound. Haven't spent much time with dynamics/humanization yet. First bit.mp3 edit: the upload put them backwards for some reason. The second audio is the beginning and the first is what would be later into the track. I have a title in mind already for the track which seems fitting for the disc as well: "Four Hearts of Fire"
  21. Heya. 05) "Remembrance" ~ Theme of Cid ~ done by Proph from the WATER album already uses Nostalgia, I believe, hence why it's listed: https://ocremix.org/album/73/final-fantasy-v-the-fabled-warriors-ii-water The idea for this and what Darke wanted is here: Each class from the game is what you're remixing, as in, a theme for them, or a main character. :) It's why the ones who have placed auditions in went: [Class Name] - ReMixer's Name, if that helps.
  22. Trying to figure out which theme you consider 'Nostalgia' since ... I can't find anything concrete for that one. This track on YouTube is what I'd like to do something for but on vgmusic it's listed as nostalgia, on youtube I've found it under Reminiscence and The Day Will Come, as well as one person in the comments of what I'm linking saying it is mistitled... Edit: I should add, that on OCR's track listing for FF5, Nostalgia doesn't even exist. Edit 2: Upon further digging... what a rabbit hole... it's under One Day, For Certain on OCR: https://ocremix.org/song/11108/one-day-for-certain

  24. Yeah, I think NOC or PYR would be a good fit for you. Metroid Prime: Hunters has a unique remix of VS Metroid Prime, and there's a lot of "Dark World" type stuff from Prime 2 that would fit with it being the dark sector. If you want more material for arps/hooks there's Luminoth Energy Controller and Sanctuary Fortress Depths.
