  6. Mega Man Zero 4 - Falling Down Remix
  7. Okay, the title is weird, I know. I don't know if many here know this show and if they hate it or not. But each of these songs reminds me of the six main ponies (manesix). Since I need to choose two more remixes, I chose two more that remind me of the show. XD From top to bottom, it would look like this: Twilight Sparckle, Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and the other two remixes are the bonus songs that remind me of something from the show.

    J-Track

I've been streaming footage of the Aomori Nebuta Festival this week while listening to Japanese pop music and Japanese-style VGM, which inspired me to create this 8Track. These are just some of my favorite Japanese-style remixes, whether it's because I love their use of Japanese instruments, use of Japanese language, or just because they remind me of some of my favorite Japanese pop music.

  10. Wow, I like it a lot! You really chose a fitting genre for this, haha. Love your ensemble, too, especially the minimoog-ish synths.
  11. Fingers crossed that we'll see Fire, Earth and Dawn some day. FF5's always been my favourite FF soundtrack and deeply underrated in my opinion. Wind and Water remain some of my favourite albums from OCREMIX.
  12. So! 2025. A lot has happened since this was released. The whole world knows Armored Core now. I've gone through and played all the games again. And this album? Still slaps. Would love to hear some takes on the new gen, but I'm glad this is still here.
  13. To complete my PRC collection, I'm missing: Final Fantasy VIII - Mid Dawn (Lasakon) PRC18 http://web.archive.org/web/20050426211051/http://www.doulifee.com/prc/PrcSong/prc.php?prcid=18 Kirby's Block Ball - K-Bizziby (Rellik) PRC11 http://web.archive.org/web/20050422035524/http://www.doulifee.com/prc/PrcSong/prc.php?prcid=11 Kirby's Block Ball - Kirby Chaos (Mythril Nazgul) PRC11 http://web.archive.org/web/20050422035524/http://www.doulifee.com/prc/PrcSong/prc.php?prcid=11 Mega Man VII - Three (DMLee) PRC26 http://web.archive.org/web/20050403100645/http://www.doulifee.com/prc/PrcSong/prc.php?prcid=26
  14. I have almost all the songs from the PRC rounds, luckily I have all the ones that have your name (There are other entries of yours that you can easily find on the vgmixarchive website): Decap_Attack_SEGA_GENESIS_speeedmixx.mp3 Fantasy_Zone _ARCADE_life_inside_a_soda_bubble.mp3 Final_Fantasy_Tactics _PLAYSTATION_FF_Battlecrap.mp3 Interstate_'76_WINDOWS_I76_On_Acid.mp3 Lagoon_SNES_Lagoon_Bonfire.mp3 New_Ghostbusters_II_NES_Gathering_of_the_Ancient_Noses.mp3 Suicide_Express_COMMODORE_64_Suicide_Bounce.MP3 Teddy_Boy_SEGA_MASTER_SYSTEM_Mein_Kleiner_Sprutzenbubfel.mp3
  15. Oh, that's sad to hear. Thanks.
  16. All of his solo works were removed from the site through mutual agreement after he was banned from the community. You won’t find his work on OCR except for a few exceptions where he was a collaborator.
  17. Maybe this is the wrong place to post, but what determines whether or not songs will be removed? I went to look up 3322 and 3305, two Brandon Strader entries, only to be unable to find them on YouTube nor the site even if using a direct link (e.g. https://ocremix.org/remix/OCR03322).
  18. Yoshi's Island Sambatronic 2025-08-05 1420.mp3 This is weird.
  19. Mario Kart 64 Winner 2025-08-01 1814.mp3 Did some mixing... sounds much better. Now I just want to add more variation to synth chords, bass, drums, and probably change the piano improv in the middle.
  20. Done I made 6 versions of the Valley song. Maybe I will submit one for the official submittal remix here.
  21. Hey! I released this thing this Friday and just though of posting here, in case anyone were interested and brave enough to listen. It's hard to define in musical terms and labels, but I'd say it's mostly metal but also many other things. This time perhaps moving closer to folk and cinematic elements, and musically softer and more emotional than in previous 2 original releases, while still some moments of aggressiveness. Oftentimes moving under a pretty dark atmosphere and using some ambiance stuff (using my own recordings of [real] birds, rain, etc). Lots of melodies, maybe sometimes somehow catchy, but also plenty of riffs and more stuff. Lots of stuff happening all the time, so not a single second of boredom or repetitiveness. I'm personally happy with the balance I got this time, since it's kinda experimental and chaotic but also pretty melodic and accessible enough, not moving too much into any of both extremes. Most of these tracks were originally done for quick compos in ThaSauce (OHC and 2HTS specifically), which I know many people from there is active here too, but with all the later improvements, extended arrangements, etc which took a lot of time to get to the current point. I also experimented a bit with the visual artworks for a style that is both silly and scary, using photos of my dear kitty Kira in some abandoned buildings I seen during my walks in the far outdoors. Also somewhat combining elements of genres like metal or goth along with hip hop (because the graffiti style text and logos in combination with the many ones that were already in the background pics) despite the lack of hip hop elements in the music. The idea and concept, for both music and art, is closer to that of the depths of the underground scenes in a 2000s internet full of passionate folks than that of today more superficial scene with more experienced and technical artists that aren't that much for fun anymore. It's that kind of spirit and special charm that, even before I ever dared to try anything of my own, just got me hooked up back in the times as a curious teen exploring this old good cyber-world. An internet that had plenty of shit in more social and ethical terms and which was far away from ideal, but definitively a lot of cool and special stuff that unfortunately got lost in favor of the more superficial stuff and the hegemony and dominance of big corporations and algorithms. And yeah, it's all fake (MIDI) instruments but REAL feelings! Just try and listen without fear :) But enough talk; have at you! You can listen and download all the tracks in Bandcamp (a few bonus/extra tracks included if you download. It's free!): https://unknownpseudoartist.bandcamp.com/album/a-third-placeholder Also linking to the album's page in my own website, since it's getting closer to finished and properly manageable, and it has more organized info and stuff about each individual track there: https://unknownpseudoartist.com/discography/placeholder3/ I hope someone likes :)
  22. We have an update to metadata/ID3 tags planned before we put out new torrents. We’ll try to get a move on with this.
  23. Yeah, I sometimes have a real penchant for long titles and texts. 😄 But thanks for the tip. I hope that's all right now. ... But while you're on the subject as an admin... What's your opinion on measurable clipping, especially when it comes to remixes on OCR? Is clipping generally tolerated on OCR, was it not measured again before uploading or perhaps simply overlooked, or does this clipping maybe occur after uploading to streaming platforms such as YouTube? Or could it be that the displayed clipping is more likely to be detected with true peak metering, whereas with standard peak metering the inter-sample peaks, which might cause some additional overshoot problems, can't be exactly measured?
  24. I usually come around once in a blue moon to check for torrent updates but it's been a while now (about 400 ReMixes) since it's last been updated. Is there much of a chance that there will be an updated torrent for more recent stuff, or is there a fairly easy way to bulk-download songs?
  25. how would you feel about uploading a zip file of all of that somewhere?
  26. obsessed with this mix! the small world chorus is the icing on the cake. Grunt's artistic voice is so strong and it amazes me how cohesive it is between his visual art, his games and of course his music. long live transfatylvania!
  27. Howdy everyone! Just wanted to announce that my Mana Cinematica album project is now launched on Kickstarter! If all goes well it will be a 3-part album with tracks from across all the various games in the Secret Of Mana series. I've partnered with Mango Mage Records to make some cool vinyl variations, and while the Wax Mage set sold out instantly, there are still some special versions available like the one shown here. And of course CDs and downloads, plus a stretch goal to get a vinyl release for my Chrono Trigger & Xenogears albums- if you'd like to join for some of these goodies you can check it out here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/samostudios/mana-cinematica-epic-symphonic-album And if you know anyone who might be interested please help spread the word! I have historically always sucked at advertising and we can use all the help we can get to let folks know this is happening! Thanks for listening!
