  1. Ten years of music. I never expected to be involved in this project for ten years. I love that I've had the chance to do this for a full decade. So it is with no regrets that I am stepping back from An OverClocked Christmas and turning the project over to The Coop. While I will still be involved in the website, I will no longer be directing the project. It is my hope that this wonderful project will live on for as long as OverClocked ReMix does. I did not arrive at this decision lightly. But to be honest, I thought it was time to pass the torch. That said, I want to thank everyone who has participated over the years in the project. I especially want to thank The Coop for all of the amazing 8bit art that he's done over the year's, as well as djpretzel for the yearly signal boosts via ReMix posts. I'm so glad to have been part of this project. Thank you all.

  2. I had the exact same panic attack - but then I was like, "I did the other one in about two-ish days so maybe I can do this" and then I thought it through and realized it was not due that quick...

  3. Congrats, Popoi, and to everyone who entered! There were some great entries this round that made judging/competiting pretty tough. Edit: Also had a slight panic attack on Bundeslang's post saying PRC340 was due Wednesday. Thought he/she meant the Wednesday in 2 days instead of 9.

  4. Good job Popoi! Looks like I'll have to spend a little more time on my next remix if I'm going for the gold.

  5. Compo: MnP (Meat 'n Potatoes) Round 67: Tales of Phantasia - Freeze Midi: http://compo.thasauce.net/files/materials/MnP67_tale_fre.mid Youtube: "Beautiful and underappreciated tune I remixed long ago; hope it inspires others as well." -Necrox Deadline: Jan 30th Monday @ 1 PM Vote Ends: Feb 1 Wed @ 11 PM MnP ARCHIVE - made by Trism Submit your remix Here when completed. **If you have technical difficulty with account activation at ThaSauce, please contact me via PM and I will submit your track and will also tally your vote** MISSION STATEMENT The goal of Compo:MnP is to promote that "meat and potatoes" conservative approach to remixing: this includes the mood and composition of source tunes. It is up to the remixer to create their own personalization, or to simply give it a sound upgrade. Moreover, the compo is a great opportunity to hone your remixing skills and give video game music the respect that is due. SOME reinterpretation is recommended, but not required. MnP Instructions/Guidelines 1. Covers and Sound Upgrades are permitted. 2. Most or all of the source notes must be present (but not necessarily in the exact same order), secondly the mood (energy, pacing, feelings being conveyed etc) should also be retained. For example, a source tune that is fast-paced and energetic that's remixed into a mellow/chill-out theme would be a hard sell. 3. If you decide to do a genre swap (i.e. symphonic to techno), make sure that the conditions of #2 are met. 4. Submissions must be at a maximum of 20mb (keeping in step with ThaSauce's file size max). 5. Only 1 entry per participant. Previous winner cannot participate but can submit a BONUS entry. 6. All competitors and voters must adhere to the rules stated within: Competition Code and Conduct MISC/TIPS - When picking a source tune, make sure it has a MIDI to make ppl's lives easier. - In-game sound FX are permitted, so long as they don't comprise the whole track (i.e. replacing entire MIDI tracks with just sfx)

  8. Grats on the win Popoi :3 - it's a shame things didn't work out as we'd both like for the MnP round. I'm certain things will work out better in the future, and besides you get to pick next (next, next??) round's source tune for PRC

  11. Well, clumsy me accidentally deleted the thread I made from over 2 years ago, well over 11,000 views (thanks guys). I was trying to edit a post and I couldn't delete something, and the "thread delete' button was very close to the editing window...sort of non-descript. I'd at least expect it to ask for confirmation of what I was about to do. Anyway, David Lloyd was kind enough to provide me with the HTML backups of everything over that two years so the pages are below. He said he MIGHT be able to somehow restore the specific thread but no promises. In the meantime, I'll pick up from where I last left off. I really messed up huh? 12. Hey, your track was pretty decent Necrox - it wasn't the most MnP, but as Popoi said, it has an awesome NiN feel and kick-ass 90's sounding synths that is teh sexy...also, the lack of MNP feel is fine. considering I encouraged everyone to YouTube Poop the last round cuz I'm a bad boy lol. Hence why I made my entry MNP and let everyone else goof around haha :P...it's a shame Esperado ran into issues again though T_T

  17. Bleck

    Nintendo Switch

Bleck lives in a small town where he needs to take the bus for an hour and a half to get to work, and knows that anyone with a longer commute than that is likely doing it to a job that pays well enough where you could just buck up and buy the extra chargers

  18. You're very welcome Zorrakh - Necrox's and Popoi's are pretty cool additions too. Maybe better. Also, thanks for the vote Popoi lol.

  19. Well shit. I gave the round to Necrox already, assuming no one else would enter...my bad T_T. He already gave me his pick, so I gotta roll with that - nonetheless, "Ganon's Mockery" is an epic remix with tons of great CDI references LMAO. I'll throw it into the round as a BONUS Also, you were probably having issues submitting because the due date had expired =p

  20. Whaddayaknow, djpretzel just sent me a sketch of his and Harmony's collab of "What the Forest Taught Me", sweet Also, we have private forums for the album, where you can listen to WIPs the other album remixers posted (I just posted mine) and give feedback. Anyone who confirmed their claim or sent in a WIP/finished track has access to it, so come and share! You can find it in the Private Project Subforums in the Projects forums here on OCR.

  22. I was going to finish up my bonus mix Sunday, after having to figure out what was wrong with my iLok for most of Saturday, but I'll save my mixing time for the next round. I'm glad you were both able to put something up, though!

  23. Results Time The results are as follows: Number of participants: 4 + 1 Bonus by HoboKa Number of votes: 6 Minimum score: 3 Maximum score: 21 Again all participants have voted, meaning that they all got the 3 points bonus. Supercoolmike got 7 points and gets the last place wooden spoon. Dewey Newt collected 13 points, only enough to get third place. GCJ got some first place votes and received 16 points, which is a second place And the winner of PRC339 is Popoi with 18 points!! Popoi, you did a great job, you are the winner. You may select the source for PRC341. Send the source to me (with a MID/MP3 file, otherwise send a second source with a MID file) by PM, other options are PM me @ ThaSauce or by e-mailing to bambombim@gmail.com (I prefer a PM @Ocremix). Send your source as fast as you can, but before this Monday (23 January), 10:59 AM ThaSauce time (18:00 UTC, 19:00 GMT). You may select any source for any game, but not a source with an OverClocked remix or a source which has been used in PRC before. An overview of the past PRC's can be found in the following links: http://sites.google.com/site/bambombim/prc http://bambombim.googlepages.com/PRCRemixList.doc (also downloadable via the link above). PRC340 already started, deadline is wednesday: Check the ThaSauce Page for the results and votes.

  24. Wish I had your energy man. I don't find compothasauce's admin system very accommodating - it always sends me to the stats page after I make just one change - so I gotta go back to admin>compos>MNP and restart the process all over again T_T

  25. Sent my PM vote in. If I'm going to enter more of these, I should get a ThaSauce account to make Bundeslang's life easier. I also need all the bonus points I can get lol. Never turn down extra credit!

  27. (edited) A 3 point bonus for ThaSauce usage sounds pretty fair. I understand your arguments and respect them, but for present time MnP will follow old PRC rules until further notice. Hopefully things will turn out fine for both compos
