  1. Hello again! I was cleaning out some of my files and I found this almost finished Zelda II remix that I had forgotten about (from late 2016). So I added an intro and uploaded it! Can't submit it yet, since I just submitted my Final Fantasy remix, but I will as soon as the sub cool down is over. Comments & Feedback appreciated Cheers!

  2. The battle between Shovel knight and Ballade: I really like Gario's arrangement and style to incorporate the themes, although a bit short and could use some beefing up, it has promise. Jorito's remix does an excellent job of bringing both themes together seamlessly and the combination of sounds/instruments creates an overall exciting mix that grabs the emotions. Plague vs. Saturn: Hearing the original Plague Knight theme initially made me laugh at it's 'cooky?' melodies. Hearing it played on the organ/guitar combo adds a whole other layer of spooky and hilarity (in a positive way.) Lots of cool ideas and patterns that never makes this a boring mix, on the contrary: perhaps there are too many variations on the theme? Uranus vs. Propeller Knight: I wish anorax finished his :c I discovered that propeller knight is a very nice theme. I had lots of fun playing with them. Sounds like everyone had fun, I enjoyed hearing feedback and encourage everyone to submit wip's for feedback as often as they can.

  3. I got to play just a little bit so far. It's a beautiful game. I can see this game being really immersive.

  4. You could do a patriotic/nationalistic theme for 4th of july. Most countries seem to have grandeous national anthems.

  5. Oh man, all of them were really good. Age & Alchemist sounds really funky (particularly because of the medley stuff, but really, needed mixing work), For Hope and Shovelry just sounded really good, The Wanderer... Man Gario, I'd love to see you finish this sometime. And Boulders Wreck Rapiers was fantastic.

  6. I can definitely assure you there'll be something here tomorrow! My gear is still not quite at the same setup as it was before, but it's workable and I'm having too much fun looking into some of the VSTs I had obtained but since not even used yet o_O

nuff said. I was at a workshop put on by one of my favorite guitarists years ago. someone raised their hand and asked, "how do I get noticed?" His response: "get good."

Lufia II: Of Gods and Men

Alrighty, so the end of February has come and gone, and I've received a lot of claims to track (as well as a few WIPs!). We're moving along great! Now we're in the stage where I start ampin' the pressure on you guys a bit, so heads up! I'll likely be checking in whenever I can on your progress, so keep in touch on that. The next due date is April 31st, so if you haven't submit a WIP yet that's when I'll need to have something. As you know, as far as making a claim on a track, the period where I'll be listing your claim on here has passed. Feel free to vocalize a claim here, but if someone else submits a WIP of it, that's tough luck on your part! If you want a hold on a track, submit a workable WIP and it'll still be yours! In the meantime, I'm still hashing out ideas for a compo to hold. It needs to make sense, but it also needs to have a tangible incentive to get people to participate. I've got some ideas, but there's still some back room discussing that I need to figure out before I lay it on the table. Alright, folks - let's push this to the next stage of the project!

  10. Wouldn't disagree with that at all. I'll drop him a line.

  11. I had to listen again just to make sure I wasn't overlooking what the other Js were, but, nope, sounded fine enough again. Another pass at the mixing would be great, but to hold this version back? Can't co-sign. WE FIGHT TO THE DEATH!

  12. Performances and arrangement are really good, very enjoyable track. Opening guitar has too much delay. The soundscape quickly gets too busy for my taste, the worst offender is the section starting at 1:51. Perhaps part of why it sounds so busy though it that the master is overcompressed. I hear some distortion in the densest parts, over and above any desired distortion, and the crashes are completely destroyed. Cubase is reporting that the track is mastered to -6.9db RMS and that seems quite loud for a mellow rock track. I like the track quite a bit, it is 90% there for me, but I'm gonna be that girl who sends it back for a more gentle mastering job first. edit 2/20/17: MUUUUUUCH better. With the master no longer clipping and the delays under control, I can hear some beautiful melodic detail that was buried in the distortion before. I don't have that overcrowded feeling anymore. I agree with Gario that the track is DP quality now. Nice work! YES
