  1. It IS pretty awesome. It makes me think of one of the piano tracks from FFVII Advent Children though, particularly in the area around 4:30 and whatnot. Uhm, "Those Who Fight". Yeah.
  2. Ooh, the first New SMB remix. First off, I like the slight distortion. Reminds me of vinyl, which seems suitable to me, considering the nature of NSMB in itself. The part starting around 1:20 reminds me of Sonic for whatever reason. Same goes for around 1:45. Digging the scratching about 2/3 of the way through. As a whole, I think this mix does a great job of combining the old meets new style of NSMB. Plus it just sounds good. edit: Whoa, epic. Not only is this the first review in this topic, but it was coincidentally my 5000th post. EPIC
  3. IT WAS YOU! Or..I dunno. But it seems you've missed my Okami sig, Maco. I don't...THINK I posted any other ones though.
  4. Might I suggest Sticky-ing this so those of us who surf at odd hours can contact mods [ie: I rarely get on before 1am CST-4am CST] when nobody is online?
  5. Well, his backgrounds probly are. Dew makes some sexy shit, but I can't think of anyone who tops Chiz's BG's.
  6. frenglish ftw! I don't typically have much of a plan either, but I had a fairly good idea for what the Okami sig was to look like. I also wanted a celestial brush on there [to paint on whatever name I was using on it], but I just couldnt make that look decent.
  7. Heh, well, it's pretty different from a lot of your stuff. Still pretty nifty, though.
  8. Funny you say that, 'cause I had a pretty decent idea what I wanted that Okami sig to look like. It just took a good while to actually achieve that.
  9. For the record, though, my Okami one, due to the size of the render, looking for source pics, and deciding on/applying suitable effects, took me a good two hours or so, cumulatively over 3 or 4 days.
  10. Especially when I'm relatively sure this type of thing is disallowed in GenDisc, or...well, anywhere other than UnMod.
  11. Not really it just reverse the effect of potion. if an ennemy kick you, you still received damage. I'd like to point out, if it hasn't been done yet, where the true usefulness of that item lies. If the user uses, say, an Echo Herb on the enemy, the enemy will become Silenced [with a higher hit %'age than actually casting Silence, noless]. And yes, Remedies DO work. Of course, though, if they're immune, they're immune.
  12. I'd probly buy one blindly, if for no other reason than I like to support independents. I meant to mention the Kingshead earlier when we were talking. We usually wander over there after Bailey's, 'cause it's one of the few good bars in the city, from what I've seen. It's only like, a 5 minute walk, so long as you don't get lost [which we did on the first B->K trip we made]. But yeah, for anyone over 18 [which I'm sure most of you are], I'd be plenty willing to drink with you guys, assuming you don't suck, WHICH YOU PRESUMABLY DON'T. Yeah.
  13. So...I'm not sure about everyone else, but seeing as they've not released a new episode for awhile, i'd forgotten to VOTE. Maybe it was just me, though. Just because they're on hiatus doesn't mean we can't support them.
  14. Noice. One of the reasons I started the thread. Anyways, I've been talking with a few of the members who've posted here, and it seems more and more likely that the U of M-ish area will be a likely meetup place. So, who's for and against this? Personally, it's a pain in the ass for me to get there, but I've a friend who goes to the U that I could easily stay with for a day, so it lessens the annoyance factor. For the record, For all of you who're 18+ [ie: pretty much everyone from what I've seen], I'd totally be willing to go to a bar with you guys post-meet-up. BAR, note. Not club. Clubs suck. Bars suck much less. Anyways, that was a side note. So, U of M-ish. Who's for and against?
  15. Not a clue. Side note: Too friggin cute.
  16. First off, thanks for the bump. I didn't wanna bump it more m'self for fear of beating a dead horse, but it seems there actually IS a bit of interest in it. As for Aurora, she apparently got a job with CBC in Toronto, so she moved there. *shrug* But yeah, so long as it's not HORRIBLY out of the way, I'm always up for some Smash [though considering how little I've played it in the past 2 years or so, I'd be HORRID compared to the days of olde]. So if you haven't already, mentioned to your other OCR'ers in the area about this thread. The more attention it gets, the more likely the meetup will happen and be successful.
  17. That was awesome. Overall, an excellent night. It was nice to see Lazy again too, despite her mighty donuthole cravings.
