Guy In Rubber Suit replied to djpretzel's topic in Site Issues & Feedback
This brings to mind simulated reality. Perhaps we are all just a creation of DJPretzel and we were created to keep him company and worship him. He must've felt lonely enough to plug us back in. -
Heavy instrumental soundtracks
Guy In Rubber Suit replied to Stormrider's topic in General Discussion
That soundtrack sucked balls. Major balls and it was not heavy in the slightest. If you don't mind arranged soundtracks, definitely the Dracula Perfect Selection and Black Mages. Check out Machinae Supremacy as well. They did the soundtrack to Jets'NGuns and have great originals as well. You might want to check out the Contra III soundtrack as well. I find it pretty rocking but it might be what you're looking for. If anything you should just search for some instrumetal. That might bet your best bet. There's an instrumental thrash band called Mastery. Great riffage there. -
VGMusic.com Logo Design Contest

This is pretty awesome. I'll definitely look forward to something like this. -
Maybe because they're tapping the punch buttons while doing the motion so the fireball or dragon punch or whatever over takes the punching animation. That guy sucks with E. Honda.

Is it for XP or Vista only? If it's XP then you could play it on an Intel Mac with Bootcamp.

What video game brought you here?
Guy In Rubber Suit replied to MechaFone's topic in General Discussion
That's probably my game as well. Or at least I remember I wanted to learn how to play the theme song on saxophone. I believe I was looking for some Chrono Trigger and/or Xenogears when I was at this site. -
An acquaintance of mine from work had the idea for setting a bar/arcade. That would be pretty sweet. I'm sick of going into bars and all they have are sports and shitty golf games. I'd go to bars more if there were more video games. That would be an awesome idea. Oh and Gameworks or Dave and Buster's don't count since they have shitty games as well.

What's this? A video game cover band that does not play NES tunes!? I'm shocked!

The idea of one console is nothing new. I read of several top industry heads wanting one console as well, or at least predicting that the future will go in that direction. I don't know off the top of my head but I imagine a simple Google search will yield some results. I like the idea of one console though I wouldn't want to see one company make it. A collaboration of companies and they license out the technology, kind of like the VCR, DVD player, the Blu-Ray player or HDDVD player. Granted going in this direction it probably would make it more PC like but then again the current crop of systems have very similar PC ideas such as downloadable content, mods, patches, harddrives and hell you even have to install some shit now to get somewhere. PCs are going the more console route by have a more plug and play kind of interface, example being the software will install in the background while you play the game. I imagine as we head towards more download only content, we'll see a one platform war, however there might be different service plans you might have to suscribe to in order to download them. So in that regard, we can have our console war only it'll be the subscription war.

Death and black metal. Lots of fast BPM.

http://www.plasticanimationpaper.dk/ You could try that. I believe it can do vector based animations, which is what Flash is.

I played this game a while ago on an emulator running on the N64 and it was pretty awesome. So for the VC did they translate everything, only some of the game or nothing at all for Sin & Punishment?

You mean Silicon Knights or the original writers who might've left Silicon Knights? Either way that would be cool.

I remember that commerical and the Sega one where that fat kid is in a park playing a GameBoy and hits himself on the head with a dead squirrel. Sega ads were awesome, too bad the system couldn't hold a candle to SNES.

Wow. You can do that with any title of any medium. Good work guys on figuring out that you can form U R GAY with the provided letters. Now let's solve some more title mysteries!

Greatest minute and a half of guitar ever recorded?
Guy In Rubber Suit replied to Leon K.'s topic in General Discussion
Haven't heard it. What are you talking about? -
I really enjoyed Defiance but man was I pissed at the fixed camera angles and some of the combat elements. So damned frustrating. I should go back and just watch the cinemas to really digest theh story.

Yeah fuck the old shit! Why is there a huge tribute album to this old ass game!? It's 15 years old, why does it matter? I honestly never cried during FFVII because I knew what happened thanks to reading EGM and EGM2. I didn't get a PS until much later and that game even later still. I really can't think of a game that has really made me cry or get misty eyed and I wish more would do that. If they can do that that means you're emotionally connected to the characters. I'd like to see more emotionally driven games.

Speaking of Final Fantasy VII...
Guy In Rubber Suit replied to SwordBreaker's topic in General Discussion
I'd love to see the remake with a redone combat system. I've been spoiled by a more real time system and Crisis Core is going to sport a real time system, so why not adopt it for the remake? Also any cut story put back in would be nice, kind of like what they're doing for part 4. -
Speaking of Final Fantasy VII...
Guy In Rubber Suit replied to SwordBreaker's topic in General Discussion
Actually I heard rumblings, I believe from the most recent EGM possibly in Quaterman so take that as you will, that Square is interested in doing a remake, it's just that the main designers are busy with other projects. Namely the thirteenth iteration. Honestly, Square would have to be pretty dumb not to remake Final Fantasy VII considering it's their most successful Final Fantasy, that I'm aware of, and will generate a ton of money especially since FFVII is once again on the public's mind. -
Does anyone here who plays classical guitar grow out their right hand nails and file them for picking purposes or use finger picks? Or do you just use the meat of your fingers to pluck the strings? I really don't know any classical guitar myself but I love fingerstyle and would love to learn classical, I just hate the fact that I would have to grow out the nails on one hand and trim the other. I hate my nails growing so getting them to the point to act as a picking device would be extremely annoying to me. I just wonder if I'm the only one with sentiments like this.

Need Help with My Mac
Guy In Rubber Suit replied to Stitch Faced Angel's topic in General Discussion
http://www.versiontracker.com/macosx/ Versiontracker has a wide variety of programs to download. However the majority of programs on the Mac are shareware, you can find some freeware stuff. As far as MP3 players go, I have MacAmp Lite X in addition to iTunes however I rarely use the former. Mostly for .ogg stuff, which again is rare for me to listen to and I believe that iTunes can read .ogg now if not download a plug-in for it. -
I'm fine with traditional if it was 15 years ago. Many RPGs have come by since then and have truly innovated. If the traditionalness could be offset by a killer storyline I'd probably look past it but everything I've read about Blue Dragon tells me otherwise, plus I'm not a fan of Akira Toriyama's art style outside of Chrono Trigger. Again the only reason for 'traditional' RPGs being the way they are was due to technological constraints. Now that is no longer an issue and I feel that the modern day traditional RPG is stale and just trying to cling onto old ways. If someone wants to make a game like that, why not on a system where the restraints are still in place like the DS or even PSP?
