Ah that'd really suck if the fatalities are taken out. Though it does sound like it's going to be revamped, hopefully it'd still be good. The ultimate crossover would be a Marvel vs. DC game. Preferably done in 2D though it would be great to see in 3D as well.

I want a 7 string so bad, though I'm torn whether or not to get an Ibanez or a Schechter. I guess I should play with them some more to get a proper feel. All I know is that I want 24 frets, humbucker pickups and a floyd rose system on it.

No forum but there is a way to suggest things and I sent the suggestion. Yeah I knew my backlog was fucking huge. Only 20% of games are completed.

I registered. I like the concept. An idea, there should be a way to import game lists that one has made on say IGN or 1UP or wherever. That would be ultra convenient.

At first I used AAC but then I couldn't use it when I burned the songs onto a CD to be used as an MP3 CD and when I tried to share some songs not everyone could open them. So I switched back to MP3 though I use a higher bitrate and such for encoding to retain the quality. It makes the file size a bit big though I don't mind.

A lot of bands mentioned here that I was going to list but I'll add some new ones. Accept, German heavy metal band that doesn't have death growls though he does have the falsetto vocals with a tinge of screaming. Nothing really extreme. If you don't mind a mixture of death and clean vocals then All That Remains would be up your alley. They have some fairly melodic riffs and Phil Labonte is quite an amazing vocalist able to perform both death and clean without missing a beat. Betrayer is another melodic metal band that sounds similar to Iced Earth. Biomechanical is a progressive power/thrash metal band that sounds almost like a cross between Pantera and Iced Earth. Dream Theater is another band to check out. A great progressive metal band with melodic passages. Into Eternity, again if you don't mind death/clean vocals. A fantastic, frantic band. Mercenary is a melodic death metal band similar to In Flames, Dark Tranquillity and Soilwork. Nevermore, which I'm kind of surprised no one has mentioned here, is a fantastic power/thrash metal band that uses all clean vocals and has some heavy yet also melodic riffs. Definitely one of my favorites. Opeth is a band which is similar to Disillusion, though it's more like the other way around, with a mixture of progressive death metal and acoustic guitars as well as death and clean vocals. And that's all I really see in my playlist. I don't listen to too many bands that don't growl, not because I favor one over the other that's just where it seems my tastes gravitate towards.

The software you install, it's legal software or is it acquired through questionable means? I'm interested in this. Not right now but definitely in the future. I'd need a PC CG powerhouse good for digital painting, high end modeling and animation. That's my desirable machine so I'm sure it'll be much but I would like it cheaper if possible.

Has anyone played TimeCop for the SNES? That was a pretty terrible game. I never owned it but I downloaded the rom for the hell of it. The levels have no direction and look exactly the same. The digitized main character only has four moves; shoot, duck, kick and jump. This is a game based off of a Van Damme movie you'd think they would at least include his signature splits in there! The enemies only have two moves; walk and shoot. The game is highly repetitive with some shitty music. Generic rock guitar with a voice sample that loops "Get on it. FBI." Someone should remix that, seriously.

I don't see why the controllers would be different, it's pretty much the power and A/V cables that would be different for the system, and the shape of the cartridges.

I remember reading in a preview that Kojima was hyping it up to be like Zelda...but with mechs! How could that not fail? And yeah I do want ZoE2. Hard to find though.

Blood Omen 2: Legacy of Kain - I bought this game cheaply with a few others at a Game Crazy. I'm a fan of the Blood Omen/Legacy of Kain series and so I felt that I had to complete it. The animation, cinematics and controls are just simply terrible. I don't know if I'll be able to get through it for story purposes. Enclave - I think I bought this with Blood Omen 2, not sure. Either way a lame PC style action RPG with terrible graphics, mediocre story and boring objectives. Dragon Warrior VII - A lame dated Japanese RPG that is utterly boring and slow and extremely typical. I did not enjoy it at all. Eternal Ring - I bought it cheaply when I worked at Toys R Us. I got it because it looked semi interesting and I thought it couldn't be too bad. Though it is a slow, prodding first person action RPG with some interesting concepts but is marred by bad controls, weak gameplay and graphics that look like a budget Dreamcast title. Oh and it does not have analog support despite being on the PS2 when it comes packed in with the Dual Shock 2. Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights - I got this for free for testing it. A lame and utterly generic racer. NHRA: Countdown to the Championship - Again, got it for free for testing it. Pretty lame and borning. Stretch Panic - The concept is very interesting but it is hard to know what to do next in the game. Zone of Enders - I really just got it for the MGS2 demo. It was really short that was hyped to be a Zelda style game with mechs that ultimately fell flat with characters that I didn't care for and an anti-climatic ending. Damn I've bought a lot of crap.

Good luck with that, too bad the E.T. landfill thing is a myth. Howard Scott Warshaw, who programmed E.T., says its fabrication and there's good reason to believe him because he was pretty high up in the corporate chain and he would've personally been there with a photographer to take pictures. I wouldn't hate this format war so much if it didn't mean I'll have to replace my DVD collection sometime in the future, especially if I want the best picture fidelity. But this will all just start over with holographic discs. Imagine, 3.9 terabytes, you could put the entire series of Seinfeld, Simpsons, and any other long running show on one disc and still have room left over.

Check out Life of Taty he has classical guitar arrangements, Video Game Jam which mostly has text based tabs and Game Tabs which again has mostly text based tabs. I would also recommend checking out Ultimate Guitar which while it has a ton of 'real' bands there are some video game songs there and some of them are in PowerTab and/or GuitarPro formats.

Cool stuff, though what's so weird about the intro to the Mega Man song? I've been covering some Death songs lately like Symbolic, 1000 Eyes and Crystal Mountain. So much fun to play, though some of the solos are a bit of a pain in the ass to nail.

According to Tycho from Penny Arcade, who purchased both versions of DMC4, the installation time is a moot point as it only alleviates load times by a very small percentage and the load times were already short to begin with. I think a 20 minute install time or any installing on a home console is completely unnecessary especially when it does not amount to a significant load time drop off. The whole installation process, if developers are so insistent on it, should keep it optional.
