  1. Xenon has it right here. Jobs opened it up to a scale even the creators of the Gameboy couldnt imagine. No longer was it just a kiddy toy. That has had a HUGE impact. For game players like us he doesn't have the impact a Miyamoto or even a Nobu would. Still its a biased poll.
  2. Lord Marshal DJ Pretzel. AKA Owner of this website. AKA Death Incarnate.
  3. No Passport no travel fare. no chance. =/ If they play on the east coast of the US however...Actually they're playing in pittsburgh on the 25th of feb. I MIGHT be able to make that one.
  4. You are kidding me right? The best hamburger i've had outside the one i've made myself. Cooked to the way i want it how i want it with whatever i want on it for 4.50? Best value in town. Hands down. 2:50 for double the amount of fries you get out of a 'super sized' Actual hand cut locally grown honest to god home made french fries?! I've worked at those places you mention. Their fries are so processed it isnt even FUNNY. This isn't financial logic i used. This is about the quality of food. McDonalds lost theirs long ago. Five Guys gives me the best burgers in my area outside of the ones i make. You want to rant about finanical concerns but unless you're ordering off the dollar menu the average trip to McD's aint that much less. I might be paying somewhat more at fiveguys and i might not go as often. But i'm getting a far higher quality of food. So please slow your roll.
  5. *spots a McRib* *blows it away with a 12 gauge* Why do people still frequent this shitty place? There are far better options all the way around for food these days. Their fries aren't even that good. You people need to visit a Five Guys.
  6. Thank you for correcting me. I didnt see that article linked.. *sigh* Yeah i thought this was something less recent that nothing could be done about god i hope this doesnt end up as bad as they're calling it.
  7. No. The floods are a major concern but i pulled this off Cnet. The floods are not extremely recent (and were never even talked about by a lot of people including on here by people far more active than i am.) The main concern for me in this article is the potential increase of prices.
  8. http://news.cnet.com/8301-13924_3-20124201-64/hard-drives-could-get-scarce-apple-analysts/?part=yahoo-cnet&subj=yapp. You'll wanna read this if you're thinking of buying/building a PC.
  9. I admit there are concerns about that but i think that's going to be unavoidable at this point. MMO's right now are 'suffering' from Diehard syndrome. Movie Reference. Diehard kicked off an entire age of action movies. The 'problem' if one can call it that is the mechanics work TOO well in a GUI perspective. In this case: The story+lore far outstrip WOW and the detail they're taking to each world is significantly higher than one might expect. If they're not kidding on the dragon age map size reference this will be one of the largest universes at launch i've EVER seen. This is going to rival EVE online in general size. Dont focus on the core gameplay at this point. Focus on Story and Class balance: Which appears to be dead on.
  10. This game just got better...MMORPG.com has a nice review of the open beta. Republic side. oh yeah incase you were wondering... THE TROOPER IS BADASS!!!
  11. o.O *bleepity bleep bleep bleep bleep bleep bleep bleeep bleepity* Congrats...o.o
  12. Efficiency and dragons don't work too well together. The deck is balanced out to give a solid mana pool under limited conditions. Originally the deck was 80+ The extra cards give you a bit of endurance. Useful in an FFA, also genesis wave if you drop all of the power from the Mana Geysers can net 40+ cards on the field. Not a good thing if you're down to 5-7 turns or less to win a battle. The deck has worked very well for me in my games. I run 60 for tournament casual i play various numbers.
  13. Red Green Black Dragon. This is one of my favorite FFA decks. Most people never see it coming until its too late. The concept is the sudden strike but it has enough endurance in a multiplayer game to really raise hell. Which is the ultimate goal of any real FFA. Lands 6 mountains 6 swamps 7 forests 3 savage lands 2 blackcleave cliffs 2 dragonskull summits Planeswalkers 2 Sarkhan Vol 1 Nicol Bolas Planeswalker now you're thinkin WTF he's blue not green. I'm getting to it i'm getting to it Creatures 2 Fierce Empath 4 Dragonspeaker Shamen 1 Chameleon Colossus 1 Tauren Mauler 1 hellkite charger 1 hellkite igniter 2 MALFEGOR 2 Hellkite Overlord 3 Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund. Malfegor is your field clearer. 6/6 flyer that has one of the sickest effects the game produces. Drop it sac your entire hand wipe the entire field. Basically a wrath of god with you as the survior. Expensive but its a 6/6. Very useful to give yourself breathing room. Why Karrthus? he can be cast for 3 mana is 7/7 flying haste and you gain control of any dragon on the field when he drops. And all dragons you control from that point on have haste. Naaasty. Shamens allow you to get your big guns out fast. And the two changlings can harass like no other. Artifacts: 2 thran dynamos 2 sphere of the suns. This helps your mana backbone thran's are cheap colorless and sphere of the suns takes care of an early or late game requirement. Instants 2 seething songs 2 slice in twain 2 naturalize 2 lightning bolt Enchants 2 eldrazi conscritption! 2 fires of yavimaya you probably could drop the fires if you wanted. But you wanna put the fear of god in someone? DROP THAT ON A CHANGLING! +10/+10 annihilator 2. That will make them burn damn near anything to get that off the field. A nice distraction for the real thrust of this deck sorcery 2 Mana geysers 3 cultivate 1 exsanguinate 1 explosive revelation 1 assault strobe 1 praetor's council 2 Genesis wave. And that's the big one right there. Thats the spell that raises an insane amount of hell. Genesis wave. It's a mid game card in this deck you check out the land of your opponents. Make sure you keep 3 green open drop mana geyser drop genesis wave. Watch them GROAN As you drop 20...30 maybe even 40 friggin cards. All enchants stay all creatures stay (assuming you dont have a conflict ruling) and all the lands stay too. You dont need it to win the deck is actually fairly balanced out for multiplayer requirements. But you blow them to hell in the process. Everything's going to ahve haste by that point and you just storm. If praetor's council comes out in that madness your enemy is well and truly fucked. This is my fun Genesis Dragons deck. And i have yet to have a game where i play it and it doesnt end well.
  14. Sooo i got thrown on this website because someone saw a collectable. What i found however was something that can only be classified as epic. NSFW: http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/rc/b527/ The ultimate trolling device
  15. Strange. I never heard about that particular price drop and i'm usually up on stuff like that.
  16. Captain's table. PS version. That was NUTS. However the big news was at the end. Another price drop for the PS3. 249 now. Its now for me in the range i have to debate actually getting that and a small HD TV over a moderately powered laptop.
  17. Modern would be nice. I play a lot of casual. I run a very fun Genesis Dragon Deck in modern format for multiplayer.
  18. Yeah that's fine. I just do a lot of tournaments locally block type for me is a draft tournament not precon. I prefer standard tournament formats for something like this.
  19. i'll be late to that party. Thursday 8 PM is when my last class of the week finishes. But i should be around at some point. Also since it seems all of us are experienced players could we start in Standard instead of Block? I'd like to use one of my current physical decks.
  20. Let me know what the format is. Standard Modern Vintage Legacy. Any subformat like Emperor/Commander(EDH) etc. i might be intrested.
  21. *insert kefka hate rant* *end kefka hate rant* Meh. This is what i dont get. Jillian already had a HUGE musical credit in Civ 5. Zimmer if he's any good at his job KNOWS this. I'd love to hear from his words why he made this choice.
  22. There is not much more that has to be sad that hasn't been said already. Capcom has forgotten its roots. It is not doing what made it a juggernaut in gaming. It's abandoned franchises entirely that were not only solid sellers but great games. Capcom wont see any more of my money for a while. They're on my list of companies requiring a hostile takeover
