There's discussions on a 5th Indiana Jones movie. Big whoop right? Well...there's a tidbit in the article that about threw me from my chair. http://blastr.com/2011/09/harrison-ford-would-make.php Discuss!

Unwise or not he's pretty much right on how fighting games are right now. Even MVC 3 is the same way. Fighting games havent changed in basic concept/controls in a good long while. Even the addition of 3D combat hasn't changed them too much. If someone's able to finally make that leap forward in fighting games that's happened in others it'd be one very nice breath of fresh air. However has anyone heard anything out of Team Little Angels?

This is in Maryland...between classes. I need to see how things shake out. I'll know by November if this will be an option. But you guys might see me for the first time at this shindig.

Which Games Don't You Make Remixes For?
Hyperion5182 replied to WillRock's topic in General Discussion
Yeah it is. There are a lot of modern soundtracks i'd love to see get the treatment. And i'd love to see the skill of the people on this sight put to such a high level tests. Its one of the best songs of a soundtrack that goes straight oldschool start to finish in a game that is begging for a sequel. That one is. I dont want people to stop remixing the old. But some of the newer music being developed sounds like something worth trying. -

I dont see a lot of newer soundtracks being remixed. And i have to admit i understand that. They're a hell of a lot harder to i'd think Easier to get the OST. But take a song like 'Lets Dance Boys' (Bayonetta) and try to remix that into something OCR quality. I've seen only like 2-3 modern songs. One halo one GT 3. Might be some N64 ones But i've seen nil from PS2 or later. Its a shame really. I hope someone actually can soon. I'd love someone to dare to take on the Normandy Reborn from ME 2. -
Actually the setup for the Lanboy air is a POSITIVE pressure system. Surprising i know. I was asking because i intend to build a computer near what you're building and the cost was about what i was looking at with my GC and OS. (also its 140 off newegg right now) You dont have to do anything yet but i was curious

Dingbat O'malley and his cohorts Michael Von Asshat and Eric McDumbass Now to actually be somewhat serious. I know thanks to Thalzon but i couldn't care any more.

That would be correct. I had planned to get this game in the fall. That will not happen at all now. Nor will i be investing in any capcom game for the foreseeable future

You're really pushing it with some of those comments. But first off: Capcom's current line up of titles isnt that great to begin with: MVC 3? Fun But no Megaman really pissed off its long term customers Street fighter? How many different variants do they have on current gen consoles now? Its a lot Resident Evil? They've driven that series into the ground Capcom exists because of Mega Man. There is no way around that. To do this you're slapping a lot of people in the face. I wasn't a fan of capcom's current line up and they took a HUGE hit with Bionic Commando Reloaded failing as epically as it did. Capcom needed to do right by the fans and gamers who remember company names. They didn't. The 3DS a lot of people considered a gimmick to cash in on this crazy new market TV's have produced. With what the Vita promises and what appears to be a CRAZY low price the 3DS has major competition and no games worth having. Capcom has fallen. Just like Blizzard is slowly falling as long as its attached to activision. I know what games this company used to put out. I dont any more.

I am more glad than ever i never had the chance to buy MVC 3. I wont be buying it now. Capcom has just lost a customer permanently. Nintendo lost a potential 3DS customer in Me. If i had any hesitation about waiting for the Vita its gone now. MML was somewhat kiddy but that was part of its charm. It was a well done game an unrecognized game and this just puts the final nail in the coffin for me with that company. If this is a hoax i STILL wont buy it. This is a betrayal of the fanbase. I'm done with capcom.

Colony Wars. The need for a space combat simulator is insane. JGE is taking its sweet time. TOR will not have the dogfighting people want at launch. Give me friggin colony wars!

For the record. Microsoft gave a gaming phone a try a while back. It didnt pan out well. But the Iphone wasnt even on the drawing board at that time. If they took a second swing...well i wonder.

Great Accomplishments in Gaming: get your brag on
Hyperion5182 replied to ectogemia's topic in General Discussion
Oh yeah. I remember now. Arcade: I made a guy burn through five dollars in quarters playing me in Soul Blade (original game) with Sigfried. God that was hillarious. Nearly as good as the cheeseball -

I only got two questions. 1: Can you use a combination of kinect+controller? (...i cant justify a wheel but good god i love using a 360 controller for racing!) 2: WHO WANTS TO START AN OCR CAR CLUB!?

On Mass Effect 3: My Theory: You're not going to have 'answers' to choose from if you play with the kinect. The programing potentially could be advanced enough to recognize your own phrases and in turn interpret your words to create an entirely new response. That would be something a hell of a lot more advanced than speaking answers. Kinect is in its baby stages of development. I mean the level of clarity is still being improved by SOFTWARE. When a big league developer takes the reigns of a Triple A class title and throws it on the kinect only i think people are going to be SHOCKED at what can be done. I fully agree on the lightsaber issue. It's my biggest complaint. If you're going to go that far you should be able to allow people to use something to be a physical representation of the weapon in hand. I would LOVE it if i could use my wooden Katana. Being able to operate two handed opens up an entirely new realm of maneuvers of both offense and defense. As for losing the controller: I for one would LOVE it if it was able to be handled properly. I mean there are some physical limitations especially concerning space, but being able to do some of this stuff physically is a dream come true for a guy like me. I mean think about Virtua Fighter or Tekken done as a pure kinect game. If Microsoft keeps plugging away at it and a game dev takes the ballsy move of putting a Triple A title on as a pure kinect game (Fable's a nice start but not the headliner that's needed) This is really going to be off the wall insane. As for fighting games: UFC's got one in the works. Its a trainer right now. But the same technology could be applied to fighting games of a different style. I dont like the perspective that nothing real big came out of E3 when this is one of the bigger things to happen in gaming PERIOD. If it were me if i were to make a dream title for the Kinect. I'd go with believe it or not Kenichi The Mightiest Disciple. I am going to get the manga's soon (i hope) But the anime does very little in terms of over the top outrageous impossible martial arts. There are some awesome special effects and hints of outrageous fighting. However It's solidly grounded in true to life knowledge. The training was insane but at the same time believable. (Pro athletes do the tire thing in sprints and most of the other stuff is just slightly more extreme versions of what people do IRL) If you havent seen the series the full dubbed version is up on hulu with the majority of the subbed as well.

I don't like the SW title either HOWEVER the bigger part of the kinect was the evolution of the device and its growing capabilities. A new commercial just hit the airwaves today in my part of the world debuting the voice activation capabilities. The kinect needs more work in the game development department but good god the potential of this device is far better than any standard mocap system. I dont know what the SW game's gonna look like in its final form nor care. But the kinect is reaching a terrifying level. As an owner of the xbox and probably going to be a kinect owner in the fall, i am very intrested in where this goes. If you're not astonished by the Kinect capabilities going forward then i'm sorry you were watching E3 for the wrong reasons. Playstation Move is a toy an addon. Kinect is going to be the first step towards permanently losing the controller in a video game. You remember that commercial for the PS2 where they showed the insanity of the Projected PS10? Xbox is a few steps closer to THAT with technology like the Kinect than the Sony crew is.

How the hell could i have forgotten that?! They finally got a Superhero game RIGHT! This played like a batman game should. You really got to play the stealth and investigative side of the bat while being able to brawl. They achieved an incredible balance and the voice acting was oldschool animated series WIN! Batman, Harle, Joker, Croc, and i think even Oracle were the original voices. The big surprise there was Joker. In the wake of Ledger's death and everything else Mark Hammil comes back for one more run. And he's been confirmed for Arhkam City. (launching in October) The Joker is the one role that no one has Dared to fuck up. Ledger's Joker was masterwork. Loved the spin. Jack Nicholson's was iconic. But The voice people know as 'The Joker' Belongs to none other than the actor who helped kick off Star Wars. A slower paced game than Bayonetta Arkham Asylum is another that's going to rock.

A lot of the big story games have been FPS which is a delight in one sense. Halo tells an incredible story. Mass Effect does the same thing Having not played GoW i cant be 100% sure but i bet there's a good story on there too. Now I should put a warning out on Bayonetta I don't bother with Zero Punctuation but some people cant quite get around the curvacious beauty and some of the more suggestive situations of the game. The game does put you on the 'evil' side in a sense but that's all part of the story that's told. It is not for a younger mind who hasn't been playing games for a while. Loving a Mystery this game really won me over early on. If you're not liking mysteries this one might not be for you.

Two thumbs up for Bayonetta. Hopeful for a second. This game has a story that never fully reveals itself and keeps you guessing to the final epic scene. Its style is very much a breath of fresh air and the combat is finally back to a style i can really enjoy. Moves are intuitive and reactive. Witch time is an awesome addition, and the game gives you an honest to god feeling of 'HELL YEAH' When you knock a boss down. The characters don't feel thrown together and the story really does tell itself. A very fun title to play. Above it all however is a soundtrack of just OUTRAGEOUS quality. Before you ask, the original song used (and you'll know it when you hear it) was from the 1960's. I was in utter shock because i remember that particular song from a movie. (Space Cowboys) I also know the original singer in question by reputation. You will have a lot of fun playing this in my opinion but if you haven't played a beat-em-up in a while i suggest starting on easy. There is some legitimate replay value to the game to boot as you beat it at higher difficulty levels. Get Mass Effect while you're at it. This is not something to miss out on. Given that Forza 4 has been announced if you're looking for a racer i'd wait on that.

A 7-2 Victory in the US Supreme Court? Yes. That's precedent. That CANT be overturned lower courts will rule the way the Supreme Court did. No state's going to be able to get a law like that through with this kind of precedent. That's the kind of victory this is. The only thing that could disrupt this kind of ruling would be a US constitutional amendment.
