  1. Please, PLEASE someone call bullshit on that one. I really don't want that to be true.
  2. There is a torrent out. I used that because it took so long.
  3. http://www.mrbass.org/dvdrip/
  4. You mean Frets on Fire? That would be an awesome project.
  5. I use a Firepod. Sounds great, low latency and extremely simple routing (no extra programs). If you don't need all the I/O, there's the Firebox too.
  6. I'd just like to mention that Native Instruments has released demos of a plethora of their software. They are entirely full fledged, too; the only problem is a 30 min limit every time you use them. Still, it's an excellent way to try out some of the sweet new stuff NI puts out all the time. Also, that Kore thing has a demo, so people like me who own Komplete 3 can demo the cool cataloger thing (which, by the way, is awesome). Here's the link.
  7. Hell, I'm still playing SimCity 4; that game has amazing music as well.
  8. Yeah, I tried it again, and it was expensive. I guess I got a good deal when I first used it because I bought a lot of hardware and software with it (A FirePod, NI Komplete 3, an external hard drive and Cubase all for about 2000 along with a comparable computer, totaling 4000 for the lot). Regardless, it's a wonderful product. I was willing to go more for it because I needed a rack mounted case, and the extra hardware deal turned me on to them.
  9. Remember my thread when I was making my studio? Yeah, I ended up buying a workstation from pcAudioLabs. Those guys are amazing, in costumer service and price. I also picked up a bunch of software from them at reduced prices when I bought the computer with em. Besides, since they build custom computers exclusively for audio work, they can do some nice features, like acoustic dampening, quiet fans, and rack mounted casings. Also, they clean up XP making it optimal for Audio work, and if you order any other hardware and software with them they will preinstall everything perfectly. They really are amazing.
  10. What would DJP say? -ReMixing Change Log- OCR00000 - Acid Jazzed Evening 'Do It' * Reason: MOD rip with creative processing and drums.
  11. While Cubase has automatic time stretching, I don't know about Pro Tools. Perhaps you can cut up the file?
  12. You mean the chord symbol says Cm/Eb ? That means C minor with an Eb bass note.
  13. As an obligatory Cubase fanboy, I'd like to point out that it still indeed has full Windows AND Mac support. Just pointing out the fact that logic isn't the only way to go. Regrettably, I have never used Logic, but I hear the capabilities between it and Cubase are nearly the same. It's an interface preference thing, I guess.
  14. I too use Cubase. I have actually never used Reason, although some day I'd like to try it. It's the lack of updates that turns me off of it.
  15. What is that vocal sample from? I haven't seen anything related to FF7 except the original game. Glad to see someone else do Barret, though. Fishy's is awesome, so is Mustin's, and Rexy's, and Prophet's sax orchestra, and... I gotta stop. These all are some wonderful mixes. Great turnout.
  16. Well, I really don't have anything to say anymore. I uploaded my track months ago, so I'm just waiting for this to finish. I'm upset that this is taking so long, but it will finish. I would offer to do another track, but with my current schedule I would probably slow the project down even further. So..... Lets get to work peoples!
  17. Shouldn't we do something about this since we swiched the forums? Just a thought.
  18. I love the contrast between how simple Zircon's post was in comparison to Trickozen's complicated mess. Accuracy for the win.
  19. Go back and play FF1. Haha, while there was some tough bosses in there (I'm talking the NES version, not some crappy remake), the general grueling gameplay makes it my favorite Final Fantasy. And of course, there is some of those insane boss fights too (I remember chaos being pretty tricky).
  20. Zircon, I sent you my meager mix. I was the quiet one who didn't blab about their mix in the thread.
