THAT and additionally, Hideo Kojima is supposed to help develop Solid Snake's stage. There will be guest developers too it seems.

there's some crazy stuff going... yeah, has to be the roids. The news is saying he killed his wife by strangling her to death, waited a couple hours then apparently decided that it would be a good idea to smother his 7 year old kid to death. Then after staying inside a house for a few hours with two dead bodies, he hung himself on his weight equipment. Then the investigator's said they found bibles placed next to both the victims' bodies. Crazy stuff.

DeAr GOD! THiS IS aN AmAZING SoNG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EvERYTHING ABoUT THiS SoNG Is AWeSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVe THe NEw FeELiNG AND SOUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .... *regains control* Yeah, but you know a lot of Capcom fighters have real subdued jazzy music going no in the background and they work real well. I bet the level this fits in will be great. I think this song will fit right in. This is way better than a lot of the stuff in Twilight Princess, that's for damned sure!!! Just hearing it makes me excited to play this game. ^________^ So far its been a VERY zelda-ish week. I'm looking REAL forward to the next updates. And Saria's Song was Amazing! Just... wow. This is the kind of rearrangement that gets the fans real excited!

A lot of people are speculating that NiGHTS will be represented, especially since the game is coming out for Wii soon. IGN seems to believe Sonic IS going to be in Smash Bros and is the most obvious 3rd party choice for there to be. They said they'd be surprised if Sonic wasn't in Brawl... and as much as I don't like IGN, they really have a point there. Especially with the Mario/Sonic appearance for the Olympics game coming out. Sega will be represented I have no doubt about it.

I have no idea what those statues in that level are. I always thought it was part of Pit's stage... maybe an underground area or something.. Dunno I know for a fact that Snake's level shown in one of those trailers is the helipad from Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes, although, it appears as if you're looking at the helipad from North to South, instead of South to North (how you did in the game). The building's architecture are identical and have weird sloping look in both games. Additionally, they added a communications tower on top of one of that building that had nothing there in the actual game. The tower also has a search light on it. Additionally, some of the structures on the side have been modified, for instance you can see part of the mountain behind the area with snow on the ground. that area was part of the building in MGS... BUT I firmly believe that's the helipad. I've been looking at the Twin Snakes level layout and its more or less identical, especially with the placement of the boxes. /offtopic I'm stoked for the Mario Kart level. AND... meh, the Wolf transformation in TP wasn't too bad. It reminded me of being a bunny in A link to the Past, which was fun. Seriously, the poison mushroom shouldn't make you shrink, it should turn you into a crappy version of yourself... kind of like the opposite of a final smash. Haha. Link turns into a bunny. Mario could shrink... Bowser could turn into baby bowser. Hehe. ^_~ Maybe Snake could turn old. I don't know. Anyway I'm outta here.

hehe!!! I wonder what a Twilight Princess/subdued color scheme for Shiek would look like. That prospect makes me pretty excited. What a wonderful way to start this week of updates.

Wow, Zelda! That makes me happy! She's almost a brunette now. Well, I like the direction they took Zelda's look. I guess with Zero Suit Samus in there, they wanted to have another female character with a not-so-blonde hair color for variety. She looks much older... more confident looking from her facial expression than her version in melee, which imo seemed peaceful or pacifist, or perhaps I'm looking to far into this. I'm happy though. I like Zelda. I wonder what her final smash is...

Hahahaha!! Quoted for emphasis! For realz!

yeah, that's be pretty cool if you got near the areas that were flaming that you'd take damage. In fact, that'd be real cooo. I don't know if I like unavoidable damage though either.

I agree with you 90%. Difference being that I do think the lack of on rails missions severly hurt the feel of the game. Yes, SF64 had a good number of all range missions, but it was evened out with railed missions. Furthermore, we didn't have all-range foot missions in SF64... which totally sucked in Assualt. The fact of the matter is that Assault doesn't feel like a Starfox game at its core, and that includes all of the reasons you specified up there. It was a departure. They need to hit those points and get a correct ratio of on-rails levels to all-range levels. I mean, lets face it, up to StarFox 1 and Starfox64 the on rails missions made the title a "StarFox" game. The lack of them turned it into something a little more generic imo and less unique. Of course, the horrendous controls, bad story, and characters that just weren't interesting were equally important in this game's nosedive. I did like the orchestrated tracks though. hehe... and the very first level. haha. And it makes me so sad too, because I was such a HUUGE fan of the original and Starfox64. and now... my money is that the Starfox series will never go back to its former glory. *holds candle in the air* Seriously though, of all the games from older generations StarFox64 has really aged well, and I can still happily play it anytime I want. I still do on occasion, and I don't typically jump on to my older systems when I have new games to play, but StarFox64 is just something Nintendo had down real well. /offtopic

http://strike911.sanctuslegacy.com/s911untitled.mp3 I was talking about time signatures with some people so I decided to make this one in something that wasn't 4/4 for once. I like the direction this one is going in, it's still a WIP, but the way everything sounds, the piano in particular, is by far probably the best sequencing I've ever done imo..... and I'm always envisioning space and stuff while I'm producing stuff lately... weird. Crazy space themes... ANYWAY... Yeah, check it out. It's basically a piano song, but there are some synths and some percussion. anyway, please listen and let me know what you think. Thanks in advance.

gotta be honest, That's freaking tight ass level from what I can tell. Love the space battle things going on in the backgruond... damn... awesome! Gotta agree though with the platform business, but really, they haven't even showed more than a handful of characters, no doubt in my mind there is better stuff they're not showing. No worries here.

*cries* I wish I knew about this !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh God... I hope they don't let you play as Miis.... I really hope they don't.... >_< I mean, maybe give the WireFrame characters Mii heads, that'd be okay... but... I dunno... I'll stop talking now.

Interesting... fox's moves. Nice to see more pics, but... still nothing really new coming from that except validation that the thing on his waist is indeed the reflector. Haha, I'm laughing my ass off so bad at the very premise of a Wario stage. How awesome would it be if the stage was comprised of random minigames you have to battle inside of and avoid stuff from each one. Haha. How awesome. Here's hoping for something like that. In fact, you could probably throw in a whole bunch of games from the NES to fight in that you could switch between just in his level alone. hehehe. I'm looking forward to seeing how they handle his levels... hopefully its not some random level from one of his Virtual Boy games or anything...

OH! The horror! THE HORROR!

Good times. Looks like there will be quite a bit of variety in Final smashes. Well, at least we got some new info this time. ^^

Can this thread just die already....

Cut scenes? Please. Maybe an interrupt, but that's it. Seriously, just because the screenshots show something up close doesn't mean that's how it'll be in game. Hell, half the screenshots are at a 3/4 camera pan view from the side, and there's no way that's feasible except in Camera Mode. . . . . Did anyone even use Camera mode?! I wonder how long we'll be getting recycled trailer info. "And here is the wall texture we used in the castle! It looks very much like bricks! Don't you want to step on them? - Sakurai" /sarcasm

I know each faction in the FE games had a symbol, and while they weren't exactly that one, they were verrrrry close. It could be the one from the game coming out soon on wii. In my eyes it has to be a Fire Emblem stage simlpy because what other nintendo game involves castle sieges with catapults and flags with symbols on them. *shrugs* I guess we'll find out "officially", but my money is on FE.
-
I think that is a Fire Emblem stage... same one that is from the trailer, if I'm not mistaken. I believe people determined that the symbol on the flags was one from Fire Emblem Pretty cool that it looks like you can stand on top of boxes. and I'm digging the different looks of boxes and barrels too. lol. Since we can stand on boxes now, maybe we can jump on top of rolling barrels now and run/balance on top of them, Donkey Kong Country style. lol. Okay, I know that won't happen, but I had to type it out for some reason.

Don Herbert, AKA Mr. Wizard, Dead at 89
Strike911 replied to Majin GeoDooD's topic in General Discussion
Problem: Mr Wizard is dead. Hypothesis: The researcher believes that sadness will be the emotion expressed. Materials: Keyboard, PC, Monitor, Beaker of tears Procedure: 1. Remember the Mr. Wizard show 2. Think about the past 3. Contemplate Conclusion: Yes, the experimenter proved the hypothesis correct. He did indeed feel sadness. Notes: I remember watching Mr. Wizard as a child with my dad. Sure, the video had that hazy 80's look but it was Mr. Wizard and science was suddenly cool and interesting in my book. Props Mr. Wizard. Props good sir. -
Meh, size probably will be changed. I mean, in a lot of Mario titles Bowser is often 3 timse the size of Mario... *shrugs* they'll do what's aesthetically pleasing, that's all it comes down to IF RIDLEY EVEN IS a playable character in the first place. Seriously, he'll be close to other characters sizes not gargantuanly huge. I mean, maybe they could make him slightly larger than Boswer or DK to emphasize the point that he's big, but any larger wouldn't be feasible or reasonable, imo. Part of me is thinking he is more likely to be some kind of NPC boss like Giga Bowser or especially like MasterHand with an unconventional moveset. I dig the song, its nice to hear some harder music getting thrown into the mix.
