  1. I like I just laughed myself retarded.
  2. What he said, yeah. I don't know how OCR and OHC invaded my life, but I'm not complaining in the least. Eat, sleep, remix.
  3. I used to give hugs to everyone, and still do from time-to-time, unless I see they're really uncomfortable with it or am in a more professional mood. Example: I will hug you when I meet you, but I will not hug Nobuo if I ever meet him. I knew I wasn't the only one.
  4. Jredd!!! You should come back and check this more often. Hope all is well, bro.

  5. Heh well, considering what I've decided to do with the song, as well as having list of things that I've had in mind to get and experiment with anyway, I guess the timing was right to finally make the purchase. So...yes and no. Watch out, Arcana, because when these get here, you can bet I'll be using them for OHC as well! It's great to see all the people on-board, as well as those interested-but-not-yet-comitted. Don't burn yourself out too soon, Jade. Get some sleep!
  6. Okay, I really don't mean to gush, but I'm absolutely having one of those "Oh my god, I'm on a project with *person* and *person* and WHAT, *person*?!?". I feel starstruck all over again. We'll see how long it takes for those new instruments to get here, until then I'll be interpreting the song and writing the arrangement.
  7. Okay, I have to say, I'm chuckling at the things I'm thinking as well as saying out loud when playing this. Why does God lose in a fight with the ooze? Why can a policeman beat up medusa? Why does the fish explode if toss it to the ground? Why does the mechanic sit in a car instead of fix it? What the bloody hell is a tapajara, and why did it pop up when I started typing in "tapeworm"? As for level 3, I'd say ride the cow after tranquing and put a wall up against the cars. I haven't gotten to that level yet.
  8. There are no words to describe how content I am with this game. Oh, and there also are no words to describe some of the cheapness and frustrating deaths, as well as "I'VE TRIED EVERYTHING, WHAT MORE DO THEY WANT" moments. This is a shinning example of the kind of thought process we ensare ourselves into as adults when we can't solve certain puzzles that children may solve easily... On a side note, long cat and LHC are both awesome. Edit: I can't put the baby in the guillotine...*sigh*
  9. Okay, I absolutely can't take it anymore. I'm buying this game on my lunch break, eating one of my emergency protein bars, and playing until my lunch break is over. A game where you can spawn the LHC and it makes a black hole? I took the tinyest look at the strategy guide last night when I stopped in best buy after dinner, saw one page of one of the puzzles and nearly creamed my pants right then and there.
  10. Okay, so I gave this a listen last night/this morning-ish, and I'm going to agree with a lot of what people have said here already: Overall, I enjoyed the album. Many of the night versions I enjoyed a little more because they seemed a bit more cohesive, as well as the timing issues being less apparent. And, unfortunately, the timing issues are what greatly take away from the songs you have. The writing is pretty cool, but those timing issues just keep constantly snapping me out of any groove of listening I get into. The production could have been a bit better too, since it was hard for me to make out some of the muddled instrumentation at times. I'm sorry if any of this is harsh in any way, but I'd love to see you go back and revise what you can when you can if you can because the potential here is very high and it wouldn't take that much to greatly improve it all. At the moment, it sounds like an album of somewhat-polished WIPs: they're complete in their writing and arrangement but not in the execution. The humor of it all is great though, and if you're satisfied with what you have then that's all that matters in the end. One thing that surprised me greatly, and in a very positive way, was the various musical styles you ended up having. You showed a lot of love for your writing, even if it is tainted by other issues. Thanks for the music, and I look forward to see where you go from here!
  11. I'll tell you what you should do, Dyne, in order to "get" some tracks for the album... Pitch the theme to Starla for an unknown OHC in the future. I'd definitely let you use my OHC entry from that for your album, as I'm sure some others would as well, and it means that it's included in my weekly allocation of music-making time. It's WIN-WIN! But if that doesn't happen, I'm pretty sure I wont have any extra time anytime soon to contribute We need a cloning machine already.
  12. Fack you, Shaun. Fack you long, and fack you hard. Seriously doesn't change the fact that a good chunk of my current closest friends I've met through here, even if I am a little crazy. Shaun: I've wasted more time on the phone with you than I do with my own mother!!! Then again, she can't give me production tips or make inappropriate comments about everything. I'd also like to say that I too was awe-struck and a good bit shy when first meeting people from OCR who's mixes I loved. Lots of people have already said exactly how I feel about OCR at this point. This thread has indeed made me happy.
  13. We're like the snuggie cult, just way more remix-y.
  14. Considering since the track I'm doing is a collab with him and Audio Fidelity, I have a feeling I honestly don't have to worry too much. He has a WIP due for NiGHTs that same day, looks like we're both gonna be busy with stuff, heh.
  15. ..Really? You made it the EXACT same day the 1st WIPs for NiGHTs are due in? THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!!!! I'm just yanking yer chain. Seriously though, I'm just giving fair warning that one of two things are going to happen: either the WIP will be in WAAAAY ahead of schedule, or if it gets to around that time I may ask for the smallest of extensions if I get overwhelmed with NiGHTs stuff.
  16. Crimson butterfly scared me a lot more than the first one. Also, the idea for the ghost radio is genius, as it really tempts people to get themselves more frightened. And yet the fourth game in the series isn't coming over here. Ever.
  17. If this were any other reality I would say that a list this big, each word turned into a game object, you'd surely be joking me. But there it is. I honestly pour my heart out for the testers having to try EVERY SINGLE WORD on that list, time and time again, through the revisions of the game. On top of that, testing the connection points and how each one reacts to one or more of the other ones... seriously, just thinking of a task like that is actually making me go a little mental. I had budgeted out money for this, but had a recent impulse of charity so I'm not supposed to buy it...but I may find a way to do so yet! Goodbye, part-of-monthly-food-budget, helloooooo scribblishnautasticness!
  18. It depends on the person. Some people I've talked to strictly through the message boards. Others I end up talking to on AIM, either because we have a lot to talk about or I'm working on music with them. Even still some others I get to talk to on IRC, AND some people have friended me on facebook, so really there's a lot of external stuff that can possibly go on.
  19. I remember when everyone could talk and express their open opinion using LOLs and OMGs...oh wait, we still can. Chill out, ducky, Jade's just always very excited about OCR and anything involved with it. It think a lot of people's posts are starting to center around that mark of one of the major upsides of internet communitites like this: you find out how much you have in common without initially "judging a book by its cover", which honestly is human nature to do. And it exposes most of the flakes and sketchballs through statements, activity, and inconsistencies in posts. It is very true that when you know someone has so many things in common with you, or you've worked on a song or project together, or you've even had long, drawn-out debates with them over things in PPR, that when you actually meet them, you look past their exteriors and see how their character fits them. There's nothing quite like sharing a burger with some people you met a day ago in person but worked with and talked to online before. It feels like you've known them for ages. Oh, and as for the Vegas meet up, we should start the talks soon because I absolutely want to spend my 25th birthday with some of the greatest peoples in the world in a glorious city I've never been to doing things I probably wont remember. Oh, and I assure you I'm a most unassuming houseguest: I will bug you about anything and everything "being okay". Example: "JADE! Can I use the bathroom?" Jade: "YES! You've asked me every single time, JUST FRIGGING GO!"
  20. *Final Fantasty Victory/Marriage Fanfare!* Nice work on the marriage, buddy. Make sure to hide the porn really well from now on, lest she get ideas.
  21. "I'm not a girl! This is a kilt!" "You're as close as we'll ever get! GET 'EM!" Oh, there are girls they, and quite a few of them are pretty awesome. I wouldn't go in there trolling for some poonani, though. And yes, I do realize some are hairier than Prophet of Mephisto, but that doesn't mean they aren't able kick your ass in Street Fighter IV. I'm trying to find people in order to use my two one-day free guest passes, but that's actually proving pretty difficult.
  22. Tonight is party time? You gotta feel tha beat!

  23. It wont be as long as it isn't the EXACT SAME WEEKEND! Though, if it came down to it, I'd have to go with Taucer's place. Okay, don't have the two meetups on the same weekend, good? Good!
  24. Whoa, I got lucky checking back here just after you posted! First, I'd like to know the name of the bar and get an address, just to see what the drive-time is like. If it's a DC-area meet-up, and the bar you speak of isn't too far away, I'm pretty sure I'm down for this. I'll put myself out there to perform, I may do both original and/or remix stuff, or maybe even arrange something to play with someone else who would be going! This just sounds like fun anyways. And yeah, doing this sometime between now and MAGfest would be best. Looking forward to this happening!
  25. I'd like to welcome VocalMime on, as he has claimed Deep it lies. Only a few tracks left, and some updates about the project should be on the way as Fall arrives. Also, I would LOVE Omnisphere. Sadly, I don't have that kind of scratch to spend on something I'd not fully utilize since I'm guitar-centric Edit: Prophet, looks like there may not be many leftovers you'd have/need to take. Quite exciting, quite.
