The entire mix seems quiet to me. I would have liked everything up a notch or two. Choice of instruments is great; guitar, violin, and piano are always a good combination, especially for the more emotional settings like this one. I like the melody for this one, but I honestly can’t place it. I’ll have to go back to the source. I’m a sucker for harmony, and 2:10 is great to me. Easily my favorite part of the entire piece. Nice work.

Crazy soloing, love all of it. The entire feel of this track is great, really gets you into the groove. The xylophone throughout was a great instrument choice. Fade out seemed a little long, but other than that, I'm diggin' this.

As far as brass samples go, and considering the age of the mix, this isn't too bad. Still sounds dreadfully fake, but I can get past that. Definately a trippy mix, and an interesting listen. I don't know the source, but I can see how this might have been a much darker piece originally. The 'chorus' sounds repeated verbatim the second time, and the ending needs work. Still pretty decent.

I love how you used so many themes successfully! Transitions are simply delicious. I would love to hear this performed live. Great job!

I have the WIP of this saved somewhere, and I love the completed version. Really awesome jazz piano, and the drumwork slots in just right. The second half where the piano and drums trade off really adds some shine. Just enough original stuff to get you really grooving for the last time through the melody. Great job.

I will claim that OA is one of OCR's fastest growing artists here. I get to say I knew him when he was more Noob. Honestly, I really enjoyed this mix. Great energy, love the guitar work. Great job!

Sounds like you're more embarrased that you're listining to video game music than the actual names of the songs. What does it matter what they're called? I know I have a pretty tough time thinking of names for anything I've come up with.

You're thinking of this the opposite way that I am. I'm not thinking of this as a workout. I'm thinking of this as something I do while gaming. In other words, I could be sitting on my ass while playing the game, but I'd rather be walking. I try to get in about a mile when I do it. Limits my game time, and it's better than just sitting there. Also, I have older systems set up with the purpose of playing those games that I got but never played, and otherwise would never get to. The new stuff, like FF12 (yea yea, not new anymore, I know...I'm that far behind) will be enjoyed in full laziness.

I obviously haven't kept updated with this, but I'd like to stop in and say that I completed Breath of Fire on Sunday while treadmilling. That's one entire rpg played while walking on a treadmill. Next up is Xenogears, I'm thinking. Eventually maybe I'll clear out my backlog of games...
