  1. I was kidding man. But yea, it's true, I seldom do more than two becuase I'm 1) lazy 2) not inventive enough to get a good enough variety of tones at this point. On the other hand, I have quad-tracked bass, so I suppose I should stfu now.
  2. I just bought a Kalimba. Thought you should know
  3. I've experimented with various techniques, and you know what. Playing it twice just sounds heavier to me, no dice. (or playing 4 times if your some sort of idiot <3)
  4. DAMN RIGHT!!! More Harmony to make my ears jizz plzkthx.
  5. Happy birthday. For today you are both now the Male and Female Vocalists of OCR respectively. (Harmony you be modest on your b-day and I swear!! *shakes fist*) Hope Jill is having fun(?) at GDC!
  6. Doing both is supposedly the way to go... I just use a Korg Ampworks Bass. Hell, I use it for my live sound too. Though, shit, I guess next time I record bass I'll try using both even though my bass amp is just a power amp through a modded cab :3

  8. http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?p=757667#post757667 This may be relevant to your interests. I found the EV Cardinal was good for micing sax bells, vocals (still use it) acoustic guitars and to a certain extent bass guitar, though I don't do that very often as I use digital processing. It works well with instruments that can sound tinny because the frequency response has a boost around 150-200 hz. It can make things sound muddy though, so the bass guitar thing can be inappropriate. Depends on the sound you want really, I LOVE warmer tones, so it was perfect for me.
  9. http://www.ear-machine.com/myMicSoundIntro.html I found this program, its free, and its cool. Check it out if you're looking for a mic,
  10. http://www.audio-technica.com/cms/wired_mics/80a15233981be556/index.html <--- I own these and they are good Also the EV Cardinal is great as well. For a couple years it was my sole mic.
  11. Were I more policed I would have used that smiley. :3 EDIT:
  12. War is changing.... and my thirst for this drove me nuts the past couple days. I liked it better when you updated daily, c'mon isn't this better than that working at a real job for money and real life thing? srsly
  13. Happy birthday you sexy thang... I mean The Legend of Zelda.
  14. I'd say the best EQ setting (unless you have cruddy speakers) is none! If anything boost the bass a bit. Or just do the whole midrange scoop for hi-fir. I use Winamp, but I used to use Foobar2000. Happy hunting!
  15. Liquid Wind, it was at like... 11 EST. Sucks you couldn't make it. Maybe next time!
  16. I personally find it too slow, as you kept mostly the same feel, it doesn't "feel" right at the slower tempo you chose. Maybe add in a 4 on the floor kick drum instead? Also the bass is too loud so it drowns out most of the other elements. Cheers
  17. Grab reapers Linear Phase EQ. It's a bit ridiculous probably for what you want, but it works well. Check out reapers other VSTs too.
  18. Ice Cap Zone A stage in Sonic 3 Everyone loves that damn tune for some reason even though its just a catchy chord progression with a single melody. Also it has a similar rhythm to Smooth Criminal, making it the one pegged as a Michael Jackson composition on Sonic 3. Hope this helps.
  19. Hey, these are generally pretty good! (some of them are on the weird side... Fah, I'm looking at you!) But hey, cool beans, always could use some more Megaman, and I love that you got them in 24-bit FLAC <3
  20. I would totally sing this... I just came down with a stupid cough-inducing throat crippling illness. tho... I should be over it in a couple days. But hey if you want vocals, I'm a good hard-rock vocalist Of course if you could get brentalfloss to do it, that'd be pretty badass too. EDIT: Okay, so the melody is scarily in the range of a male vocalist. Meaning that I think this song was TOTALLY written for voice.
  21. That really sucks man. he could have lived longer and produced great music longer. It's sad man, I really liked Gary Moores guitar work, both in Thin Lizzy and his solo stuff. Over the Hills and Far Away anyone?
