  1. I'm going to be doing a steampunk theme with some friends. Still doing research for it though.
  2. http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=26011 http://ocremix.org/forums/member.php?u=30672 Looks like the guy just went and made another profile and copy pasted the same text into a new thread. Not exactly original naming though.
  3. You just made my morning sir. That was hilarious.
  4. Other than flaming the crap out of him (which, while juvenile, gets the message across that we know he's a thief and we're serious about taking his stuff down.) our usual recourse is to contact the people that run whatever site it's featured on and go from there. I flagged his youtube posting, but I don't think that's going to go anywhere since it's not my song. I don't think we'll get into any earnest flaming until tomorrow morning/afternoon. EDIT Apparently he goes by the name afinaldate. Found some of his other stuff newgrounds account: http://xn.newgrounds.com/audio/ Lastfm: http://www.last.fm/music/AFinalDate/+tracks Don't know if any of it is ripped off though. Go check it out guys. Double edit: Dream Studio is apparently his own label. "It's under the Indie netlabel Dream Gate Studios which is my newly formed label."
  5. I love the blatant rip off that he pulled by naming the album after one of the remixes you made Skrypnyk. What a dick.
  6. I agree, Lou was Mario for me too growing up. This was, hands down, my favorite show as a kid, cheesy or not. RIP captain.
  7. Heh, not really my thing in terms of musical genres, but I liked that the first track is also the same day as my birthday falls on. I guess it doesn't sound too bad, overall. I find the bouncing back and forth between the "metal voice" and the regularly voiced lyrics to be kind of jarring though. But I wouldn't be one to offer a judgment on this otherwise.
  8. It's basically the same, the battles all utilize DBZ sound effects and draw on several other DBZ conventions as well, but the combat is fast paced and relatively creative. I've liked the series, because the story line is at least tolerably well thought out as opposed to some of the other crossover flashes I've seen. I also like VG exiles as well, I'd recommend you check out one of them, judge for yourself. 6, 7, and 8 are all good ones.
  9. I played the demo yesterday and was really impressed by it. Tim Schafer is still at the top of his game if the demo was any indication, which is good because I've been waiting for something new since Psychonauts.
  10. He's supposed to look like this for the most part.
  11. Wow, Terry is going to look like a forty year old who mugged Marty McFly for his jacket? Can you imagine if he had the hat? He'd look like a trucker. The whole thing looks like a huge cheese-fest, all for the sake of making another rip-off kung-fu fighter movie. I think I'll pass on seeing this one. EDIT: Although watching Ray Park kick ass is always a good time, but I think he could have chosen a better vehicle for it.
  12. Well, I'm about two hours in and liking what I'm playing so far. I like all the little nods to the other games, as well as it answering some of those tiny questions I've always had. Hope that trend continues.
  13. I am currently selling mine for about $60. It's got all the cords (I don't have an analog adapter, but then it didn't come with one as far as I'm aware.) It's the platinum one, and comes with a controller. I don't know if $60 is a reasonable price, but it's about half of what I paid for it, and I've kept it in really good condition since then.
  14. I downloaded it in about 7 hours, so I don't know what's going on for you. When I just checked it, it had a significant number of seeders, something like 195 or so. I downed it an average speed of 160 kb/s. Probably going to watch it pretty soon, after I get done with some more missions in MGS2.
  15. I personally want to see Notre Dame myself. Running around the cathedral would be sweet.
  16. Yeah I'm seeing about 78 seeds. The main download button doesn't work though, oddly.
  17. http://www.vimeo.com/hivedivisionchannel Yeah, I was watching their old stuff, that's why. The prologue was especially compelling, but the Italian accents were really heavy.
  18. Wow, I totally forgot about this until just now. I remember wondering if they were ever going to finish it. Glad to hear the project endured, and even more impressed they got that vocalist. Edit: My only concern is that the Italian accents are a little hard for me to understand.
  19. I have it on order, but I'm not going to be able to get it until the 29th. Looking forward to it though.
  20. Happy Birthday guys. Here's to another good year of fun contributions or just general forum nonsense, whichever you prefer.
  21. Happy late birthday wishes Mono. Glad you had a good one.
  22. Well I've only been to one meet-up, but I think any of the people I did get to spend the afternoon with would totally be allowed to hang at my house. The impression I got from everyone was a certain amount of cautious apprehension, but once we got to talking, it was like we had all been friends all along, even though I had never even talked to several of them here at all. I thought it was funny that the friends I ended up bringing up along acted worse than anyone at the meetup from the forums. I think the natural assumption is, if your cool enough to hang around the forums for a while, you're probably cool enough to hang out with in person. And so far as the one meetup goes, I don't see that as being false. I suppose there are some people I wouldn't get along with, but that's a risk that comes with any social gathering anyways.
  23. Wow, I didn't see this until just now, but I'd like to throw my name in too, if it's still up for grabs.
