People are starting to have to rush and that's lame. Due to this, the open tracks (that people keep requesting), the abundance of nearly done projects, and the fact I'm moving country again at the start of May: The deadline has been moved back to June 1st for the assurance of the quality of her Majesty's project.

I think it's about time I came back on the show and ruined it forever in a new and inventive way.

Ha, there are a lot of gift shops on the Avenue I suppose. I don't really get enough time off to get sick of the touristy nature of town. If I do get a day off, I will be snowboarding.

If someone cares more about what particular pidgeon hole music belongs in then it's actual audible content, you should ignore their face and it's various energy emissions. We here prefer to tag with regards to content then have genre lists :3.

That lead is fun, it's super glissy in a good way like the one from 'Yeah Yeah', by Bodyrox. Highly catchy, as is this. Production sounds pretty hella tite. Like Vinnie says, lots polish even on minor parts. Arrangement is aight. Not a huge amount to go in from the source but it flows along well with a sense of direction and purpose. Definitely more developed then the original, which is classy. YES

Have a little faith. I'm not gonna release something that's not ready. I'm just trying to get rid of this notion that projects have to take a long time. I've been looking at release timescales, and the deadline will move back somewhat anyway, as there are so many already finished projects waiting to come out. Also, I'm not gonna ignore tracks that should really be on the album, and am actively trying to get these not just filled, but filled by people who can deliver! The project will definitely not be 'incomplete'.

I realized this around the start of the year. Having a 'we don't need to finish track now because there are other projects first' mentality is what causes these ridiculous 4 year projects. I may be moving the deadline back, but not a huge amount.

I get the feeling you like Daft Punk. Do you like Daft Punk? This sounds like Daft Punk. I count no less then 4 direct Daft Punk homages from different songs. Sauce is awesome, and it's blended very well into the style. Some of the robot voices got a little gimmicky, but they all sound okay and fit the style. Nice job on the Aerodynamic guitar sound, I've completely failed at recreating that several times. All very well and good here. YES

Yeah it's a big 'ol OST. Much like the other later FF games, it would be impractical to do everything - the quality would suffer. On the plus, some encouraging movement being made by the late-starters. I made tons of headway on Battle1 today, it's pretty much done. Iifa is getting there too.

Noooooo what are my rhythm chops worth now. Actually who wants to use a neck pickup for rhythm work anyway. Might make for some very interesting lead tones though.

Would you mind not ranting at the judges in this thread? kthx For the record, I would take this remix over my Voices one any day. Yes the bass sequencing is mechanical. Yes the drums are not the best. However, the guitars (in both tone and performance) are easily still better then most of my modern stuff. That tapping stuff is sick, I can barely play it now. The arrangement just feels fun; it feels like I can hear myself enjoying the pokemon games all over this. So can the 80-something all positive responses I've gotten from YT people so far. I would rather have a fun and sincere arrangement with slightly dodgy production, then a boring arrangement of any quality. If you're gonna rant about this being 'poop', I insist you go and do the same for my Voices mix. I hold them with the same regard.

You can usually download them track by track from the websites. Within a few days they also end up on Megaupload or similar sites in one big zip. I'm pretty sure you can use torrents though, it's not that difficult. Unless the only internet connection you have access to is a work/school network, you can.

Eiko's theme got claimed by someone yesterday, waiting to hear a sample before I make it official. Prelude... to be honest I'm not too bothered about. There are so many remixes of it already. Plus we have a remix of Crystal World, which is just a minor version of the prelude anyway. It's basically a remix of a remix of the prelude.

For the record Brandon, I offered several times to re-do this and people insisted I leave it as it was my first mix. It's incredibly obvious to everyone I can do better now. Do you want us to go and revote on everything everyone who 'can do better now' ever submitted? The only difference for this mix is that because it was project, it didn't get posted immediately. This policy will never change because it's impossible to periodically revote on everything, rendering this discussion pointless. End of story please everyone, thanks.

I'm not sure you guys realize how true this is. I could well have very easily given up and ignored music production forever without this project. Just for the lols, this is what I auditioned with for gym leader: http://fishy.escariot.net/private/gymbattle.mp3 It doesn't have drums or bass because I'd literally never tried to sequence any before, or even know how to. I think I subb'd the mix that just got posted about 4 months after I sent that clip to the damned. It was early early days for me, and others. That even one person (yet alone all the positive youtube comments I've gotten so far) enjoys that track is an honour and privilege. Good day, and good job sirs.

Well, the project is 4 years old. I don't have the projects files for my track that I finished in 2007 anymore. I can't make a wav, so we can't make a flac. It happens.
