Come to think of it, does a song from a demo count as a legitimate source tune or not?
-
Every single time you post in this thread, you do nothing but piss me off. How is trying to put a negative tint on the very little that is public at the forum constructive in any way? You have no idea whats actually going on, and we are making progress. We have several finished recently tracks, several that are almost done/need tweaking. If you really don't want to see it die, then try being supportive (and not in a "let me hear your songs, i'll criticise" way like you've tried before) instead of putting sarcy stupid comments like *yawns* in this thread. You've not, and haven't been helping whatsoever.

Heh, a 5 song remix album, interesting idea.

Sup Actually its more like Lv12 now. My characters name is: The Fishy EMo is clearly the best class combo ever.

Ormgas has a rating system if you really want to be a fanboy. Good luck getting Triforce Majeure off the top of it.

Dare I ask for an uncensored version?

I think 9 is classy and classic. It's a very polished RPG, and I don't find myself hating any of the characters. For a casual play through its a great choice, but its not much of a challenge.

I use Reason and make guitar based tracks with it all the time. Like you said, being limited makes you get creative. I load up guitar wavs in the redrum and use it as a mixer/trigger. Quite a nice trick. Anyone can download audacity if they need a bit of reording.

ANTIGRAVITY - new album available / new zircon website!

I think me and pixie are the only ones who got it early-ish. roflpwnz. -
Video released by roadrunner yesturday, this is freaking insane stuff. This much be so hard to remember all these time signiture changes and random riffs and solos. I can't wait to grab the tab book and learn this stuff. I'm guessing this song is the "Dance of Eternity" type song of the album, so don't think the whole thing is gonna be like this.

I gots teh alblum! This really is a monumental peice of awesome. You've gots to diggit. -
I would like to tentatively claim the intro theme. I've got some kicking ideas in my head. I'm just going to treat it as if those chunks of 8 bars of random drums don't exist, because they're ruining the mario-ness. Also, Nutricious has done the impossible and come up with an original take on the LLL theme.

Did you even take a look before requesting? http://www.ocremix.org/song/id/26/ Theres like 6 remixes of this song already, and another one in progess.

Bah, its times like these I'm bummed that I don't live in the US. I'd love to play some geetar at events like these. Nerdin' things up, rawk style. -
Then again Reason itself was sort of designed to be used as a synth in other programs... My vote for a starter goes for Reason, its got a great beginners learning curve, and comes with some good samples, and you can use it as a soundfont player. There are loads of free user-made refills out there aswell. FL is more flexible once you learn to use it, but when you have both thats even better.

Works for me.

Long overdue update: http://fishy.escariot.net/public/Mistaken%20Love%20v1.3wav.mp3 I've been playing around with different filters, even trying some filtering on the entire thing, just to spice stuff up, and my project file is just sich a total mess now that I can't bear to look at it, but I think it's sounding much better. Can anyone pick out any times at which they think something is wrong, or could be different? I listened to it in headphones this morning, and I've got to say it was much more enjoyable then it was through speakers. Also, I don't think anyone commented on the actual arrangement yet, which is important aswell. What do you guys think?

OCR00609 - Chrono Trigger "Dream of Zeal"
Fishy replied to orkybash's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
Well, its not a case of how simple the change would be. Imagine walking up to your favourite band and asking them to change the sounds they use because you think some other ones would be better for what you think the music is about. Also, if you want more of the original's essence, listen to the original? -
This is the only fish related one i could find.

Fishy replied to orkybash's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
I very much doubt that anyone would make a change to their music just because someone else didn't like the lead sound. Maybe if you pointed out some clipping or something wrong with it, then yeah, its about improving it, so thats fine. This is just personal preference, so its very unlikely. Also, a specific request like this is better off with a direct PM or email to the artist as opposed to a public request. EDIT: Oh yeah this is what mods do, whoops. -
People can always request djp notes who the composer is in the writeup if they want to specify which one wrote it. In order to change stuff like that now it would involve re-writing a load of id tags and crap, not really worth the time. But anyhoo, more trivia?

I'm looking at getting a MacBook for uni because the key program they use is Logic Pro 7. I'm planning on getting the white 2.0Ghz model (not a MacBook Pro). http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/store/pcw_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0517827264.1177953332@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccdhaddkkjiifdjcflgceggdhhmdgmi.0&page=Product&fm=null&sm=null&tm=null&sku=404876&category_oid= I need to know if that is powerful enough to run a program like Logic Pro WELL, and by that I mean with negligable problems. I don't want to shell out some £1300 just to find out its not really working well enough to use. Garageband supposedly uses the same base engine as Logic, so if anyone who uses garageband could tell me any problems they encounter from daily use that would be nice.

My bad dude, I forgot to take you off that list.
