  1. Ender's game, Everyone's thinking it, I'm just saying it. Games like this have been a long time coming, I don't even care if this one's any good because others will soon follow (and I'm not really expecting it to be with such a low price point). It looks a bit slack on the weapons side of things, but if they do tactical skirmishes well and have good online this could have a lot of potential. I imagine the controls will take a bit of getting used to.
  2. I pretty much don't use any of my knobs and sliders for anything, I don't do any live work, so their not of much use to me. I draw most of my automation.
  3. Alright, both points made here, we're all happy, lets have a tea party and move on.
  4. Happy birthday! Have a great one!
  5. FAIL, I punched in the wrong e-mail address upon ordering it. I've sent them an 2 e-mails and a message on their website with no response, I even checked and the email that I entered was un-registered so I registered it and there's no mail over there either.
  6. I'm hoping to get my code and link by the end of the day.
  7. I couldn't either, I managed to navigate myself to a send a message page in there somehow, I haven't gotten any responses at all from any of my attempts. It's rather frustrating.
  8. Purchased, now just waiting on e-mail. lol Nice! Now I just need to go back and delete one post for every new one I write.
  9. Wow, just checked out the demo, this is incredibly awesome sound out of the box. I'll be picking it up.
  10. Haha, we should probably finish that sometime eh?
  11. Umm, you can change things to any colour you want, hit the plus button it brings up a colour chooser.
  12. Nope sorry, you can't automate the time-stretch knob, FL Studio doesn't do realtime time stretch. You could try getting something out of the Granulizer or a third party time stretch plugin though.
  13. Trance setting? You have to link the channel to a mixer track, then place the plugin on that mixer track for the audio to run through.
  14. Assigning a specific note to a pad would likely be something you would do on the hardware, take a look in your pad controller manual.
  15. You can right click and assign things to the pitch and tempo controls in FL Studio too, you do it the same way. Just right click on the tempo or pitch thing and hit link to controller then move the knob. If you'd like to keep the settings, then just save a project with them linked as a template.
  16. Well, there's this one... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSSpTz9d1hI&feature=player_profilepage However that's a roundabout way... There's a built in key-limiter too the Piano roll (in tools, or Alt +K) however that's only usable for recorded midi, not real-time. The only other way that I can think of would be to find it in the plugin itself (a lot of NI stuff has it) or to do a stupid complicated way with layers that I'm not even going to get into.
  17. I'd agree, most people might as well just get the whole thing, but I'm getting the academic discount, it's only $269, they don't offer academic for Komplete.
  18. It's actually really easy, more specifically: -Set your bar length in the top left corner of the step sequencer, turn on blend with existing notes and loop record, then set your main snap value to whatever you want. Careful though, if you hold a note past the set recording time it will extend the length of the loop.
  19. From what I've heard from kontakt they have some awesome sounds, and BGC, I'm buying it outright. I was trying to decide between kontakt and komplete, but I think I'm going to start out with kontakt first.
  20. Would that I could support you guys, I'll be picking up Kontakt 4 right away. If you can convince Zzounds to sell to us Canucks I'd be glad to help you out.
  21. You shouldn't need a new soundcard to get it to at least work. Close all media devices, set the buffer fairly high (so that the under-runs aren't going up) and try it with a few things, it should work.
  22. If you're referencing IK's Miroslav Philharmonik Orchestra I'd advise otherwise, I'm not a fan of the Sampletank type player, and the library isn't too great in my opinion.
  23. 12 milliseconds aren't too bad, Definitely workable for most people, although it would be unmanageable for some. Try just raising it to 18 or something, and lower it when recording.
  24. Maximus is nice, but really, unless you really know what you're doing, Soundgoodizer is good enough, it's just a few uneditable maximus presets that are free, it works really nice. And unless all you really want is a drum computer, you probably won't want to go any lower than producer.
  25. Educational will be the same as non-educational version, but you'll need some proof of studentship to buy it. I'd strongly recommend getting a downloadable version of Producer, XXL has too much extra junk you don't need, but anything lower than Producer would likely limit you. If you can somehow find an old version like that I imagine you could just buy the unlimited updates, but make sure it's an unregistered version (hasn't been used before) or you probably won't be able to register it. If you end up deciding to buy a version you can get 10% off with this link, good luck! http://affiliate.image-line.com/BDJJJAJ495
