Guitar Hero: World Tour Song Creation Demo Video
JCvgluvr replied to Murmeli Walan's topic in General Discussion
Oh ho ho! This I did not know. That changes things. I might rent GH:WT sometime...unless RB 1 instruments won't work with GH:WT. Then I'm still screwed. I refuse to purchase new instruments when I still have acceptable alternatives right now (although my RB guitar is practically dead). -

Yahtzee did much, much better with this one. And he preformed some excellent pwnage against the witless, faceless gramer demographic (named Adrian). One criticism I have is that rather then explain why he does or doesn't agree with Braid's high price, he merely glossed over it and "bragged" that Australia's been dealing with that problem for a long time. Well, that's great Yahtzee, but do you think that the price is fair? That's what I wanted to know. -
I don't know whether to be inspired, or point out CBS's blatant attempt at attracting an untapped audience. But I really hope Ken does well.

Guitar Hero: World Tour Song Creation Demo Video

Regardless of what GH: WT tries to do to distinguish itself from Rock Band, at it's heart, it's a shameless copycat. And I refuse to accept that. Now, I'm never going to find a game that has dedicated guitar songs ever again. Stairway to Heaven? More like Stairway to Never Gonna Happen (sorry, that was lame). That said, some hardcore remixers are gonna get a lot of use out of that music generator. That's not my kind of thing, personally, but still. -

Well, he has yet to play MK Wii, which he also promised to never review. Since that game's "reviewablility" let's call it, has since passed it's prime, he probably won't ever review it. And hopefully he never sells out so much that he forces himself to review something. We have no proof that he was forced to review SC 4, right? I think I might have been jumping to conclusions earlier... -
Wait, are we talking about Dethklok kind of stuff?

Perhaps the games he's forced to play bring out the worse side of him? Maybe he can't quite hack it with a game he isn't interested in? -

I didn't find this one terribly funny. But I guess they can't all be winners, can they? And in the serious end, I really don't agree with his final opinion of the game. Yes, every single one of his criticisms is spot on, but there is some shred of fun to be had in SC4 despite them (and in fighting games in general). They wouldn't sell if they weren't fun, right? Fun is probably a game's most important facet, next to boobs and explosions. He also forgot to observe the Auto Grapple Break skill in CAS mode, which would have calmed him down about his "unstoppable throwing rant." -
It was the only one of my electronics that wasn't plugged into a surge protector. Lightning shut off the lights for one second. When they came back on, my stereo was far too quiet. I had to put the thing up to full blast just to get a medium amount of volume. But at least my TV, Wii360, and Dish Box were safe!

The only game I ever boosted in was Halo 3 (I got some of the more random/difficult achievements). It wasn't even really by choice, since they were all doing it, and I just decided to join them. (Isn't that how some people get into drugs? ) I might just wait and get it the long, natural way. That is, if I can get my friends to actually fight me.
-
That is my single qualm with the DSL. After a 30 minute session with Contra 4, I get this painful red mark on my left palm. On topic: Nothing about the PSP really excites me, whatever version it is. I sold mine on eBay, and I'm hoping to get a cheap surround sound system for my room with it (since lightning fried my old one).
-
I agree Injin. Thank goodness I'm probably going to avoid ranked now that I got the achievement. I also got Transcend History and the World! Now I only need the GI, JI, Soul Crush, and Critical Finish achievements, and I'm done! Then I'll probably never play this game again, except with friends every other weekend. The one problem with that? My friends suck. I destroy them. So, all they do is create characters...they won't fight me...

Mega Man Coming to Wii VC. No, not THAT one

Use the Start Trick! -
Oh no, I'm not saying that. I was completely underwhelmed by Grabbed by the Ghoulies and Kameo (but I liked the Conker remake for Xbox). I'm just saying that Rare was the one that made the first 3 DKCs. A fourth one wouldn't have the same feeling without them. But, that is assuming that even Rare could make a good DKC game anymore. Can they? Who can say? Their track record has become rather poor at the moment.
-
That's placing a lot of faith in Nintendo that they can simulate the unique craftsmanship of mid-90's Rare... I appreciate your nonconventional train of thought. I never thought about it that way. That said, I believe you're underestimating the modern hardcore audience. I'm sure there's more people like you and me then you're giving credit for.

That means that MM2 can't be far off, right? Right? RIGHT?! -
Well, heck, I didn't hear about it. And I don't know anybody else that heard about it either. The DKC fanboy in me wants to get all hyped and whatnot. But the cynic in me feels that without Rare, there never will be a game good enough to call Donkey Kong Country 4...

I just took advantage of the Target deal of 1600 Microsoft points for $15. I'm gonna put in the code and get me some Bionic goodness!
-
I wish, but that'll never happen since somebody screwed up and Rare went to Microsoft. I haven't seen a good Rare game since.
-
I was just talking about this in the Wii thread. Hehe.
-
It's just like Mariokart! I friggen hate that! When are developers gonna take the hint? Ever?
-
Okay, let me get this straight. Hackers have just found a way to get the Wii to play DVDs. Does that mean that the Wii could always play DVDs, but Nintendo didn't allow that feature up until now? Is Nintendo planing to make a quick buck at our expense? I thought the downloadable content fiasco was bad, but I had no idea that Nintendo would stoop so low!
-
Oops, my bad. Thanks for the tip.

If an online fighter uses actual skill to defeat me, I have great fun. Heck, I even enjoy fighting spammers. Finding a way past their pitiful offense is like a puzzle. Then I can destroy them! But I don't think I'll be playing ranked anytime soon. Now that I've got level 20 and all online-based achievements, I think things will be a little more fun and friendly in player matches. Of course, different people find different things fun, so, to each his own.

Alright, that does it. I'm gonna download this game sometime.
