  1. Mmm... having fun with a few Innistrad Token decks. Here's two that I came up with, so far. GW (Spirit Token) 7 Forest 11 Plains 2 Gavony Township 4 Avacyn's Pilgrim 4 Doomed Traveler 3 Gallows Warden 4 Geist-Honored Monk 4 Mausoleum Gaurd 2 Mentor of the Meek 2 Mikaeus, the Lunarch 3 Unruly Mob 2 Garruk Relentless 4 Midnight Haunting 4 Intangible Virtue 4 Parallel Lives SB 1 Unruly Mob 2 Mentor of the Meek 4 Naturalize 4 Rebuke 4 Divine Reckoning UG (Wolf Token/Homuculus Mana Sink) 11 Forest 5 Island 4 Hinterland Harbor 4 Elder of Laurels 3 Kessig Cagebreakers 3 Lumberknot 3 Mayor of Avabruck 4 Snapcaster Mage 4 Sticher's Apprentice 2 Garruk Relentless 4 Cackling Counterpart 3 Caravan Vigil 3 Prey Upon 3 Spider Spawning 4 Parallel Lives SB 4 Claustrophobia 4 Gutter Grime 4 Naturalize 2 Bramble Crush 1 Spider Spawning I could think of a few decks that could nail these pretty badly (reanimation/DD/heavy disenchant for the first, flyer heavy for the second), but they're certainly fun to play against the builds posted in here.
  2. lol, I think we'll be fine if we just let Rexy pick our colors. No need to make a mountain out of a molehill - these are free kickass sigs, after all.
  3. Damn you stole it. You bad guys you. Oh well then, nevermind.
  4. Ooo, code considerations. If we can pick, can the Blue Bomber Brotherhood be... blue? It would be fitting.
  5. Yeah, the mixing was all over the place and it was a bit eclectic, but for the short bit it was I liked it. I'm hoping you chose to continue this track - it's a very different approach to the other approaches, and one that I really like.
  6. Hmm... The complaints are valid, but there's also some good in this track, as well (if we look past the generic drums and mixing issues). The dub isn't all that bad. If you're not a fan then you're not a fan (strangely enough I'm not), but that's just the nature of the beast, here. The arrangement is actually very interesting and playful when it picks up (around the middle); it actually can be quite fun to listen to. The synth dives over the dubbed bass is actually really cool. The return of the theme after that section is also pretty neat with the vibes. It's not my place to judge whether or not this should be frontpaged or not (and unless you are DjP or a judge then it's not your place, either - and even in the latter case that right can be overridden). It's on the front page, so enjoy this track for what it is and have fun with it, even if the quality is a little less than we've expected up here. Or not, that's your prerogative.
  7. Let's see, that leaves one person to join, and one team that needs a member. Nekofrog, hurry up and join with that last team (the one with Main Finger & Geoffio in it). I want to hear all of you participate.
  8. If you did, you'd better confirm this with Neko and Darkesword, and Neko had better pick his robot masters by tomorrow.
  9. Oh yeah, there's now a teaser in the Lufia II thread. Go check that out, since that should help raise some hopes for that album.
  10. Aww, that sucks for you. On the bright side, I am going (thanks to Deia's amazing find, there). So... anyone able to lend me a room, bed or floor to sleep on while I'm there?
  11. Yeah, Neko; don't sit there waiting for a team to pick you. Just join a team yourself. It'd be a waste to not participate because no one picked you when you could very easily join someone else's group.
  12. Silly Phonetic Hero, 'Souping' is not a word. Silly Phonetic Hero.
  13. It's not much, but you can hear a piece of Dr. Manhatten's Mountain track (along with a few other great tracks) in the teaser in this thread. Like I said, it's very sexy.
  14. Salads represent the utter removal of other participants. This tourney is set up where no one is removed. Sorry, Rozo, but no salading for you this time.
  15. Alright, everyone - it's time for our... FIRST TEASER! This features work from bLiNd, Flexstyle, DaMonz, Artem Banks (redshojin) and Dr. Manhatten, respectively, and what's here is only a taste of what's on this album. It is awesome. Be very excited, folks - we are moving forward at a great pace, now, and hopefully this inspired some of you to join up, or support this project however they can. Enjoy!
  16. Once again you've taken something and really made it interesting. Jenova is a pretty tired source, but this makes it fun to listen to again. That beginning blurb is awesome. I would love you if you would give it some more airtime. There are a few synths that get a little repetitious (like that swell synth string thingy, for example). Given the style, the instruments work well, but somesynths have too much airtime for too long. I agree with Calum on the line in the middle. It was a empty for a bit too long, there. Good shit here, though. The arrangement is golden, as usual, and the production is good.
  17. Yes, that is very sexy, man. It's great to get the full lowdown on it in this much detail - I was actually wondering how you got the gig. Congratulations, and I can't wait for... um, 2015!
  18. Ooo... I clicked your page link.

Very well done - you're a higher tier musician, from what I can hear.

Welcome to OCR - VG musician or not, you'll probably be very welcome here.

  19. I really like the hollow synths used for the intro section, there. The saws used later sound comparatively plain, though. You need to at the very least thicken out the lead sound using some effect filters or something, because it just sounds bare and dry, as it is. The guitar was pretty awesome late in the WIP - I want to see more of it, for sure. The drums are quite lackluster. The entire set is almost inaudible over everything else - be sure to bring it all out for us and give us a more interesting pattern than presented here. I think it's starting out well enough. Keep on trucking.
  20. Firstly, it is an official OCR album - it has it's own OCR supported project thread, it's hosting plenty of big names and everything. Secondly, it is now moving at a noticeably decent pace. See, it may have started in 2009, but it suffered a freeze that lasted the entirety of 2010. Between that and Bahamut joining the military it's suffered a few hickups, but it's now moving along quite well. Just saying, is all. BTW, Bahamut and I are holding on to more than a few pretty epic tracks from that project, so be sure to stay tuned to when we can actually release them (as a preview or otherwise). Also, for the record Bionic Commando also has an official OCR album in the works (it is also official), as DjMokram's pointed out. Again, older and less known, but it's also moving along, little by little. Kyle seems to have covered WA well enough... and unlike the other two projects, there is a definite date for the release of that one. December 20th, the anniversary of the release of WA. Look forward to it. Anything MM related should be covered by the Grand Robot Master Remix Battles that Darkesword hosts every year. Look it up - the first two were excellent, and there's a new competition brewing now as we speak. If that doesn't satisfy your need for Megaman (even those past 1-3) then I can't help you... As for the others... yeah, I agree they're underrepresented here. Moar Legend of Mana, especially.
  21. Hmm... This could be a really fun remix, but right now the background saw isn't consonant with the rest of the track. Match it up better and you'll have a pretty good homage to a great track, here.
  22. Prot, Salluz, Douli, happy birthday. Keep making awesome music, keep... doing whatever you're doing, and ah man I wish people gave your compo more love Have fun being one year older, you guys.
  23. Alrighty, I got my masters lined up. 1. Magnet Man 2. Spark Man 3. Napalm Man 4. Turbo Man 5. Shade Man As for a name for the group, let's go with the Blue Bomber Brotherhood.
  24. YEEEAAAAH, let's go!

Oh yeah, and Happy birthday :P

  25. Halctritious Rockman You're welcome.
