Wonder how smart (or dumb) this decision is. Windows Movie Maker is somewhat popular, and it's a Microsoft product. I think it would have been a smarter move to make a program that could actually make music and simply incorporate the features of Songsmith into this program.Oh well. They never seem to do anything right. Even if they did do it, they'd probably mess it up (Microsoft: "What's a VST?")

Ah. It's been so long since I've played that game.

OCR01799 - Super Mario RPG "Flubber Mountain"
SoulinEther replied to djpretzel's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
This piece is amusing, enjoyable, and probably multiple superlatives as well. -
Source tune?

Yes, that is actually very nice. But did you use Silkscreen? Did you use it at size 8, without anti-aliasing/hinting?

Now that I think about it, I'm fairly certain I could set up a playlist with the tracks sorted alphabetically by title name - and it wouldn't be hard to do at all. So... now I'm for this as well (remix id as track number)
-
Yes, to get into those areas, you've gotta explore the castle and find things. my shanoa is level 72 atm .... played on every mode of hard, lol, now just leaving the game on Hard lvl. 255.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but right now, track number is used to identify which game of a series the remix is from? Like Castlevania 3 remixes would get a 3 in the track number? Or was that just my media player's fabrication and it's trying to trick me? Isn't that kind of a waste? There should be something else being put there. And if not, what is being used there really? Edit: my media player is a deceitful bastard. So... can't something be put there? I want to suggest remix #, but... I think that would be annoying for people whose media players / mp3 players automatically sort an album by track numbers - I personally find it handy that I can find songs from particular games easily because the songs are sorted in alphabetical order by title.. dunno.

Then Samus kills five kittens for everyone who uses one as their avatar. SHE'LL DO IT. For "The Passing of the Blue Crown", OCR01723. (taken from the MM4 load screen. but hey, mega man is mega man) In case there isn't one, a standardized naming system might work best... like ocrtileXXXXX.w/e (lol and i didn't even adhere to it) edit: never took an art class and the 3D world is literally beyond me.. but should the light ray be much thinner/wider at the top, and getting wider as it approaches the spot? I suppose the helmet appears to have a ray of light coming down like, stage left and in front of it...

Man, what if you have ADHD and you get this as a gift? I wonder, then, if this could actually help you learn how to concentrate and focus.

How do you organize your OC collection?
SoulinEther replied to Teslacrashed's topic in General Discussion
Not in Windows to check Songbird and be sure about this, but I'm sure there's a search feature you can use to find just "Kirby" One solution (I used to do this all the time in Banshee..) is to make a playlist with the search results for songs with the title "Kirby" in them (or, alternatively, if you sort by Song Name like I do, they'll all be next to each other). Should be a pretty decent solution. -
Well, in his defense, the question was a tad ambiguous. Though it seems "budget" typically is associated with "low budget" or the idea that money is scarce, you technically must have a budget if you're doing something that requires money, regardless of whether you've got a lot of money collected or just a little.

ALBUM PROJECT: Mario Party 'Dice of Destiny'
SoulinEther replied to JH Sounds's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
Do you really plan on doing the whole project yourself? Anyway, regarding Starter. At 1:12/1:13 (or 1:26) when that melody thing gets repeated again, if things spontaneously got... heavy...(starting with the drums/percussions) it would feel so right, like a killer electric guitar or an intense synth or something.. You could then take it back to mellow and intro-y and close it off as you did. Unless your goal was to leave me without a climax, in which case I think you've succeeded lol. To me, this sounds like a better intro to the game than the original one, but I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing... too lazy (and sugar-loaded) to critique anything else, but this stuff is certainly interesting. -
OCR01066 - Castlevania "Belmont Lounge"
SoulinEther replied to djpretzel's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
I kinda agree with 42 on this one. It's good, but it's not something I would (usually) purposefully want to listen to attentively. For me, maybe I just feel that a medley of songs which doesn't vary too much from the original (other than in tempo and instrumentation), even if the songs are really slickly combined together and sound so laid-back and flowing, doesn't hold my interest as well as a remix centered around one to a few themes/melodies. Still, it is worth a listen (or perhaps multiple listens, or longterm love), because it is interesting. -
Yeah, I used it intentionally so there would only be black and white, which keeps the file size low (~8KB lol) Plus... I don't know, it just ... meh. Strikes me as somewhat vintage. It can be changed, of course. And I have started on my submission for this round. It will be another poem, except it'll have multiple parts... sorta.

Yes yes, I've studied that concept/theory in biology. However, in losing 90% of the energy, we gain 40412% new tastes lol. Still, I don't agree with the methods most "civilized" countries use in the raising and slaughter of animals... I eat meat very, very rarely as such.
-
Well, that sounds way better (and cooler, educationaler, interactiver, meaningfuller) than what I was thinking, lol. I guess that's why you're the one with this plan and I'm the one asking questions here I do wish you the best of luck in this matter. 200 watts? If I had to guess, is it the monitor that will provide the greatest difficulty as far as consumption goes?

holy cow, it's a new year's resolution that will actually be resolved... and in a timely fashion. (that, or you guys want to get it posted within this year.. in which case, I suppose it's best to submit early lol) This is exciting news.

Pardon me for being a jerk, but... ahahahahahaah lol, I can't wait to do that in person to my brother. No but seriously, I'm sure something will happen, like you'll get reimbursed, perhaps with cash, or with another subscription of a different magazine or ... monkeys with pitchforks will ... raid.. video games..uhm..flying.. underwear... disregard said post. :/ And if things don't work out as you'd like, you can probably sue someone.
-
So.. I like it. High energy. Fluid (I can't figure how many themes you put in here, but I know there are many, and I'm too lazy to look at the mix's page again to count.. but they sound compatible). It necessitates multiple listens. And when I think you're taking something away, you bring it back, but more interestingly (perhaps that was just that one instance near the end). Hurray for a review that confuses even me.

Couple questions regarding the invention of a solar powered arcade box.. if there's a link that I'm not seeing somewhere that has the answers, just point me to the link or something and call me a dumbass . 1) Who still plays arcade games? (I don't even know of an arcade nearby outside of the one at Knott's Berry Farm..) My university has some standard arcade games, but they also have the entirely more popular Xbox 360 / PS3s titles set up. 2) What impact will making these arcade systems have on the environment? What materials will they be made out of? 3) And in the end, will the creation of this product really produce a heightened awareness? If not, will these arcade boxes contribute to waste, or will they be (mostly) recyclable?
