  1. So are we still moving on to 137 even though Gario had the only entry or are we extending / redoing it?
  2. Ah, perfect! Once the semester winds down, I'll definitely be hitting this up every week.
  3. Given four months of thought (and boredom with my name), I'd like to revert my username back to chroxic (lowercase, not upper). This way, any music stuff I do will be uniform across here, Youtube, etc. Thanks in advance and I won't be changing it again after this!
  4. Any chance of the main menu music getting some love? On a more realistic note, I reminded myself of Sensei's theme and just got an idea. I'll start messing around with it next week after finals are over.
  5. I'm in the same boat as Malkyre. I've used ACID Music Studio for a couple years to make some entertaining loop-based stuff (like this and this with virtually no proper mixing), but I'll be demoing DAWs for a while so I can start making some real stuff. On a side note, Live now offers a fully functional 30 day trial.
  6. I had a feeling someone was going to mention that. =) Nope, definitely not a pothead.
  7. Chroxic isn't that bad, but I'm not a huge fan of it anymore. Can you please change my username to Dank Icy? Thanks in advance!! (for those who want to know, it's an anagram of my real name)
  8. If this is in the wrong spot, please move it. I can't think of a more suitable spot in the forums for this. Less than two hours ago, my brother acquired WarTech: Senko no Ronde for the 360 and I'm already liking the soundtrack. From what I've found, no one has attempted to remix any of those songs on here. Regardless of how much remixability the songs have, does ANYONE know of any MIDIs that exist for the game? Thanks in advance!
  9. You're welcome. Also, you might have to enable HTTP downloading instead of the default torrent downloading that takes place inside MTX. File -> Options -> Network -> http (web) experimental
  10. Needz moar Sonic... I'd imagine many people have seen this trippy Pokemon pic by now, but here it is for those who haven't.
  11. Some of the links are formatted in a way that breaks them. I had to alter one of them. For people that are far too lazy to even visit the site, this is the direct link to download MTX, the content delivery system for the company distributing MW4. Once you have MTX downloaded, hit the Games Available tab, select MW4, and it will start downloading.
  12. Tower Madness is an awesome sheep vs. aliens tower defense game. Eliminate Pro and N.O.V.A are both FPS's, but your results may vary. Jet Car Stunts is essentially an iPhone version of TrackMania minus the level editing. The Impossible Quiz is a fun brain teaser. (no link, just search for it on the App Store) Space Invaders Infinity Gene is like the original SI on crack. Seriously, the game gets insane. Finally, Pocket Legends is an iPhone / iPad MMO. That should keep you entertained for a bit.
  13. Yeah, I have a few friends that go. I might be able to get some video game soundtracks there, but it probably doesn't get any closer to actual game music concerts than that. Ah well. I take it you are not Mormon just as I'm not, correct?

  14. Very nice. I wish I could offer some advice so we could hear the finished product sooner, but keep up the good work!
  15. Nice to meet you. Know of any events comparable to MAGFest in our part of the country?

  16. I haven't been actively following the forums for long, but it seems like most gaming music events occur on the east coast. Are there any events that occur a bit closer to my side of the country? I live in Utah and plane tickets to MAGFest won't work with my college student budget.
  17. There goes my free time! =) I gave the XBLA version of Beat Hazard a shot a couple months ago but I haven't played my 360 at all lately. For anyone that hasn't played this, it's like Asteroids meets Geometry Wars meets bullet hell meets acid trip.
  18. Personally, I get bored of listening to it after a while. It seems kinda stale, if that makes any sense. The overall song needs a bit more variety and you need a bit more deviation from the original theme. However, I liked the outro (3:35 - end) and you can probably keep the break from 1:21 - 1:33 somewhere in the song. Take it with a grain of salt: I'm a ReMix n00b, after all.
  19. Some people on Youtube have made some interesting rap mashups of Sonic songs. Note: it IS rap. If you don't like it, you've been warned. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3k4uwQjPeg - 2Pac: Changes, Sonic 2: Hill Top Zone - 2Pac: Still Ballin, Sonic 3: Final Boss - Gorillaz: Feel Good Inc., Sonic 3: Sandopolis Act I (starts at 1:01, pitched up a bit)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHBNz82qm0I - The Game ft. 50 Cent: Hate It or Love It, Sonic CD: Tidal Tempest (Act I?) Rapping ReMixes with the same flow that these mashups have would be an interesting addition to the site.
  20. http://kngi.org/mirrors/Sonic%20the%20Hedgehog%202%20-%20Hedgehog%20Heaven/ - A mirror of the Hedgehog Heaven album that contains one remix of Hill Top Zone (#5) It's not bad, but we could definitely use another take on the song.
  21. Personally, I'm not hearing these blend together too well. I still might mess around with the midi files this weekend, though.
  22. Whether it passes the judges or not, I'm adding this to my iPod. =) Nice job!
