  1. Looks like this might be the cheesiest round yet!!!!!!!!!
  2. @all participants of the WCRG: NOTHING TO SEE HERE FOLKS MOVE ALONG
  3. brandom strader is a splashy woman.

  4. *looks at signature*

June is indeed still boss month :P

  5. Never heard the original before, but this is some awesome shit. Awesome synth work here, everything stays really interesting through due to the varied rhythms of all the synths, especially that acid-y synth. Fricken sweet guitar. Towards the later half, love how all the instruments mesh together. Sweetness. Cool ending too
  6. 5 and a half minutes of only piano, and my interest was firmly held the entire way through. Excellent musicianship, great taste in adding your own twist to the song while still staying true to the original, which is one of my favorites from the soundtrack. Awesome work.
  7. You could effectively dub those two contests as being the 'elitist' contest and the 'noob' contest. At least the way I see it, that's what people would do That being said, unfortunately, I don't think that would solve the problem... I personally think Darke should keep running the contest as is. As orlouge said, these contests are a great way for people with not as much experience to get 'in the mix' (pun unintended) with other, more established mixers. Which is an incredibly awesome thing, in my humble opinion. If you don't want to listen to all the tracks and vote, or are indecisive about your voting, then...don't vote. Nobody's forcing you to vote.
  8. Haha, thanks a lot guys, it means a lot to me Well, I have half a mind to call this finished right here http://www.box.com/s/px2dsnuibsrr49jf4kla Although knowing me I'll probably still make some edits. I fiddled with some automation on the bitcrusher downsample rate to get more variation out of that wub synth. I thought it dragged on a bit in the earlier version. It's the same link as the first post. I use Box. I liek ninja editing.
  9. Meh, I'm down here in Norfolk hahaha

  10. Ey! Another Virginian! :D

  11. Wow, thanks man! Thinking of automating settings with the bitcrusher on that wub (or, yug) for some more variety. I'll get started on that later.

    Ur not just hot.

    Ur hotttttttt.

  13. Yeah, pretty much. http://www.box.com/s/px2dsnuibsrr49jf4kla Source: Mt. Blaze http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KFBg8V7R4g Still need to clean some stuff up, but this is what it's gonna sound like.
  14. Just saying, this deserved WAY more votes than it got in this particular WCRG round. The vocals are just...chilling. That's the only way I can describe it I can't say I have any criticism to offer...it's got sort of a lo-fi quality to it but it just works SO well for the song itself. Can't wait to hear the finished product
  15. I've said it before and I'll say it again... I LOVE how these compos urge me to try different styles. And once again I've got something different for you guys this coming round
  16. First of all I'd like to congratulate you on your first place finish this round! I'm not all that great at giving feedback, but I can tell you that the lead you used at :17 almost sounds like a placeholder for a guitar or something, like the guitar at 1:03. In my opinion that would make a much better lead there. Other than that...fuckin digging this, and can't see it not passing the panel. Excellent shit
  17. n00b question...How many points does a first, second and third place vote get you? Just curious. If this was discussed already I apologize
  18. Not if you're Ectogemia kicking your NES around the room
  19. This. Shame on you people for mistaking me for a contemplative individual. Seriously. Thanks a lot for the comments guys, really really much appreciated, and glad you guys enjoy
