I don't have access to the forum for some reason! Had it at some point months ago but now it's gone

I remember when SD3 started. just kidding haha. I left for a while and came back and then there were like two albums released and I was like what the hell is this? But I didn't pay too much attention cause I wasn't good at music and never played any of the games they made albums for. So when I heard they were working on ff7 that was kind of a big deal, but not enough to get me off my tractor. It'd still be a fair amount of time before I settled into the site, like some kind of diaper designed to accommodate my girth. Uhh... But yeah SD3 is old. I personally would have just liked to see the music come out instead the very long wait.

Ok, that's fair enough. Unfortunate situation. I know how... shitty... it is to live in unstable housing. I made the mistake of not subscribing to this thread because I guess I'm still getting used to how these forums work, so I didn't get a notification of response, thus the delay. HOWEVER! If you could PM me with the information for a new thread (such as the tracklist, existing claims, etc) That would be great. We can get a new thread going so you won't have to worry about keeping one updated, especially if you don't have access to it, and you will be able to focus on more important things IRL. Step 1 will be putting up the new thread, step 2 will be seeing where the involved remixers are... then I guess things will go from there

Bit of a turd move. I'm sure he wasn't gonna recruit someone who sings like a pony or something like that. All high pitched and cartoony voiced.. If you want the claim of "Where I Belong" you can have it Cyril let me know. But if you turn it into an Aladdin "I can show you the world" featuring Ponies figuring out where they belong then I dunno man........ I just don't know........

A little hesitation due to the vocal thing, however if she's really good it would be OK. I hope you don't mind if I check out some samples of her singing first? I know you're a capable remixer but I don't know who it is you are planning to collab with and it is being presented as a big part of the song. NP on being late, but check back more often! No idea what your idea could be (and I've heard a LOT of FF music) But here's a funny one I found. This recent(ish) Yes riff sounds similar to a FF1 riff

That Blade Runner theme is not really that similar to Jenova, but it does sound like a lot of bands I have heard, from prog death to prog rock and some other stuff. So..... even if it DID have similarity, there'd be no solid way to pinpoint where the influence actually came from. Coulda been Yes (the band). Or Kansas. Or who knows what the love. Certainly not on par with the clips in the OP! There's only a bajillion bagillion prog bands that use similar key progressions

Ok.. Tag for @djpretzel and @DarkeSword and perhaps 1 of them could check that out in the morning. They're the ones that can add/edit people to the subforum. This is why it's a good thing for people to post in there to make sure they can so that it can get fixed if they can't so they can post their WIPs. Yeah, I'd say the songs are more similar than that Coldplay/Joe Satriani, and Powerman could sue (it'd actually be pretty ironic) But I doubt they will! They should though. I mean, when something like this happens, you have to protect yourself.

Yes, I am very strongly hoping for Season 2! It's BrandON! But it's cool to see both the E and A version of the name in one post Glad you liked the song, and very nice words. I hope to deliver more quality this year. There will be more diverse remixes from this point on. The first chapter had a lot of similar feel with the music. Acoustic guitars, backing strings or heavier orchestration. There will be a bridge of a song or two leading into the next chapter where the style begins to shift. I did an interview with OCR Podcast! Is that what it means? I guess here's the next logical question here.... are you going to step up as Director and put the thread back up, keep it updated and set wip dates and you're just looking for a co-director to engage with the remixers and recruit perhaps? Or do you want someone to take on that role (as the director) and keep you on board as a co-director to do that secondary role of engaging with people? Of course both roles can engage and recruit, but that's something to figure out later, and if both people are going to do it then some coordination will be involved to prevent stepping on toes. Honestly I don't recommend 2 different people doing that same role, it gets too confusing and would be a step backwards. If you're still interested in me helping out let me know which role it is you'd like me to take on.

I like the whimsical nature of the soundtrack, like it's just been combined from a bunch of different influences and styles without much thought given to cohesion. I kinda wonder if there's anything else on the soundtrack that is "accidentally similar" to other popular songs from the 90s
