I like what I'm hearing. Good stuff, guys and Merry Christmas OCR! Vocals on O Come, O Come, Emanuel are simply wonderful.

hmmm...punk, rock, pop, metal, orchestral, experimental, hip-hop, dance, trance, ragtime and probably some others I'm forgetting. Some experiments have been more successful than others, but I guess I'm learning as I go. Thanks for the comments!

Once you get the timing down with the way Luigi stops and starts, he's actually better than Mario. Also, I got all 242 stars last night. I may even play through the game again.

This song rocks pretty damn hard. Sixto, your guitar tone is so frickin' sweet. Excellent playing as well. Solid. You know a collab works well when you can't really tell it's a collab. Everything meshes so nicely, it sounds like it could have all come from one remixer. You guys managed to create a tune that continuously flows and remains driven and seamless throughout. I'm thoroughly impressed. Rock on. \m/

Totally agreed. It's a great game for the price. Also, like you say, some of the music is remix worthy. Check out Geo - Stage 15. It's a simple little rock tune, but I might consider creating a vocal remix of some kind. I'm already playing around with it on guitar.

While a small portion of the melody first appeared in SMK, the variations in rythmn and melody in my mix more closely resemble MKDS, if you can believe that, plus there's stuff I put in there that only appears in MKDS. Not to mention that MKDS was the main inspiration. Hope that clears things up.

Wow, imagine my surprise as soon as I saw that I got a direct post on my birthday! Didn't see that coming! Thanks for the birthday wishes, guys. djp, thanks for the sweet surprise. This really makes my day. I had a ton of fun making this song, in fact more so than any remix I've ever created. It's also the first mix I've managed to create that sounds exactly like how I imagined it in my head before I even recorded anything. I have to say, it's an awesome thing knowing that there's a place here at OCR for anyone to express themselves with limitless creativity. I love how at any moment, expectations can be laid to waste, making room for anything anyone can dream up. djp makes it very clear in his write-ups that every style and blend of music is not only welcomed, but encouraged. That says a lot to me and gives me an overall sense of comfort knowing that anything goes at any time. Too cool. Now to continue working on my next remix, which yet again explores a style I have yet to touch. I hope it works out! Thanks again, guys!

I never knew the guy, but I'm certainly familiar with at least two of his remixes. It bums me out that we lost someone so talented at such a young age. My condolences to his family and friends. RIP.

With so many egos in one place at one time, I may just have to kick back and soak in the music.

There's a section of a certain galaxy with 3 disc-shaped platforms that I kept jumping between until I finally got out far enough into space that Mario started performing a twisting figure 8-like pattern from one platform to the next and back again in the most dizzying display of platforming I've ever seen. Wicked fun.

My local TRU, where I pre-ordered it, mentioned this Tuesday, after 5pm (yeah, they're that specific) as their release day/time.

Not sure if this has been brought up yet, but are people's submissions taken as is? What I mean is, some of the entries are looking pretty good, but some of them would be even better if they were touched up or altered slightly to taste. Is the staff considering working with the winning entrant to re-work the final version of the logo (if necessary) to everyone's liking?
