To clarify for Dave, the error occurs when trying to visit a search result from an apostrophe search. When you search for certain terms, the search results include that term in the URL in order to do result highlighting on the page. When an apostrophe is included as part of the URL in the search term, that's what causes the error. Example: http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?p=791840&highlight=writer%27s#post791840

I need a new desktop machine for music and gaming. My current machine is pretty old and I'm still running a Core 2 Duo with 4GB of RAM. It's good for the day-to-day and most games but it's really starting to show its age. Looking to buy or build something that will last me a very long time.

The OC ReMix forums are not role-playing forums; you're not a bunch of characters in a story, you're a real person participating in a community. Please don't make a new account if you want to "test out something" pertaining to how the forum works (i.e. testing permissions, notifications, etc.). That's not your job, that's the job of the moderation team. Full disclosure: I have an alt-account specifically for testing forum permission related issues.

Yeah I'm not feeling this. Performance is good but the arrangement is not doing it for me. More than half the song feels like an extended intro. The piece builds to something and then once we finally get something meaty, it ends very soon after. Needs more. NO

It was a reference to Iron Chef though. That was the whole idea. The song every week was the "secret ingredient." It actually came before PRC, but used judges instead of voting. That proved to be an unsustainable model for a weekly compo.

It's been a while since I ran a compo and I'm feeling the itch again. I know that people in the past have asked for a Sigma Fortress Remix Gauntlet—essentially a MMX focused version of the Wily Castle Remix Gauntlet. I've been toying with the idea of a Battle Network themed compo but I feel like I should do the SFRG before I put it off any longer. It's something I've wanted to do and it's been a long time coming. I still need to work the kinks out of my Battle Network concept anyway. I'll also say upfront that this will be very straightforward as far as sources go. No crazy surprises with Disney stuff and Gameboy stuff like the last WCRG. Like the previous WCRGs, it's going to be a around 10-weeks long, and if you enter you'll be making 3-4 remixes. I don't know when I'm going to run this; I'm thinking sometime during the Spring or Summer. I want to gauge interest and see when most people will be available to do it. Who's up for it?

Just some interesting history: IronMix Challenge is one of OC ReMix's first ever competitions.

Hey all. OC ReMix is planning to do a small mixflood for another fighting game tournament, Northwest Majors 7, in April. We're not doing a full album like we do for Apex and CEO for this event (this year), but we want to get 2-3 remixes that we can post the weekend of the tournament (April 24-26, 2015). Specifically, we're looking for remixes of games that are not yet represented on OCR. Here are a few of the games at NWM7 that we don't have remixes for yet (and haven't been represented on previous FGC albums): Vampire Savior (PS3) - Sir Nuts Guilty Gear XX Accent Core +R (PS3) BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Ver.1.10 (PS3) Persona 4 Arena Ultimax (PS3) Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late (PS3) Skullgirls Encore (PS3) Vampire Savior (Darkstalkers 3) is a game that we're especially trying to get a remix for. Now here's the thing: because we need these remixes for specific dates (April 24-26, 2015), these remixes will be FAST-TRACKED through the submission queue and have a GUARANTEED post date. Interested now?! I'm asking for 2-3 tracks, but obviously if people send more, we'll evaluate them all and see what we can do. Keep in mind that this is not intended to be an album release; these remixes will be evaluated and posted to the site as official OC ReMixes. If you're interested, submit your tracks to the site as you would normally do, and also send me a PM to let me know that you've done so so that we can fast-track the submission. Thanks guys!
