  1. i own both. i work at a game store. here's what i see and what i hear. i prefer my 360. there's a lot of new features coming to it, arcade is the best online service around (and you can get a year for 35 dollars if you keep your eyes open), and if you get a new jasper unit (look for 12.1=12v on the back of the box) then you've got an almost silent unit that will never overheat. ps3 games are more expensive, tend to have about the same level of graphics, and there's significantly fewer of them available. XBLA (live arcade) is the online distribution center for 360, and they've got some phenomenal games as well. i can go much more in depth if you'd like, but i have limited time currently.
  2. i can get the mod wheel working occasionally, and the AT works in omnisphere but not all other synths through FL.

what'd you do to get the transport keys working?

  3. huh. too bad that no one here needs you around for that reason =) oh well, another one-post member for the books. i'd suggest you hop over to moddb if you actually want to create for games.
  4. don't call saturday unless you want to talk to my wife again. i'll be driving most of the day and at a wedding for the rest of it. maybe sunday afternoon?

  5. salluz, when are you going to contact me about computerz?

  6. that's because you're 13, and an idiot. pirated games are illegal because they don't support the people that made them.
  7. speaking of singing countertenor, have you ever listened to the christian a capella group Glad? besides having the most unified sound i've ever heard for a group that doesn't overdub, and never using autotune, their coutnertenors are absolutely incredible.
  8. oh, i want to ride the grannytrain!
  9. well, there goes most of the population of afterdawn's forums.
  10. hey, there's some good stuff referenced in this thread. i'll be listening to some of this at work this week =)
  11. i thought you were more into creative writing than composing. maybe i'm just ignorant. slade, you should have an email in your box from me. i included the contact info for my project leads on the last two games i've scored so that you have a little background on where i'm coming from.
  12. meteo, you're really desperate to get into this field, aren't you? whatever happened to your writing - as in, english writing? i seem to remember you were into that as well. i'll be sending you an email, slade. i'm currently scoring two other games that are coming to fruition and i'm looking for more projects.
  13. this is hilarious. i love how to fire a gun. edit: excellent job spelling ty's name right, ramasauce
  14. well, you're a countertenor, right? you can't be blamed for having an odd taste in music =)
  15. why the hell are molto pene and bagel fuzzynuts in there?
  16. there are a lot of newer girls to the site, too. don't forget katethegreat and the chick who sung on that ff4 track, the one that just got posted a few weeks ago.
  17. uh, read a few pages ago. there's a post saying that it would have come out if script kiddies hadn't been hacking warcraft III.
  18. bardicknowledge has a nice tenor recorder that he can play for people. he pm'd me about it a few minutes ago.
  19. been out of town. just checked the thread. plat, wondered where you were =) it's been a little while. luke, i've been kicked in the arse by my upcoming recital (which is suddenly three months closer) and the imminent release of a game i'm scoring, so i've been kind of freaking out trying to get them taken care of. i'll get something to you soon enough. as for songs that are open - i'm getting a lot of people saying that they're interested, and i've had very few wips sent my way. send me music, people!
  20. check the website, you never know. does mag still have their rides offered list up?
