  1. Oh. That's from the DS version. It's your Wifi Avatar if you will. You make it yourself in a paint-esque setup and you can get real fancy with it.
  2. I haven't seen mine bend...but that's cause I'm usually on top of them. I'm ~200 lbs (a good combination of muscle and fat). I've tried to repair it by putting that glue substance that can act as a new mold for a screw, but it keeps stripping and it's really a danger to have a loose arrow on there instead of none at all. I mean, the pad still plays, but it makes it harder for me cause that's a decent distance my right foot further has to go (and being my weight, regardless of my athleticism, adds up). I daresay that cobalt fluxes have the capability of lasting forever...but I don't know if making a base for them would be good or bad (knowing my lack of dedication to such projects).
  3. I haven't tried it, but the title of the page does read "look to the stars for help."
  4. I actually have no idea on songs and such...I don't tend to stay in that loop for very long. I like to be surprised. On a side note, a panel on one of my cobalt fluxes (right arrow) had to be taken off cause the screw hole was stripped like no other...so now you have to step a ton further for right. This pisses me off as I personally now have only one pad to play on and doubles is out of the question. Granted, this cobalt fluxes are a good three years old, so by price over time, they've been the best deal I've ever had on pads.
  5. I personally thought there were two shocking things: 1. The afore-mentioned RE5. NOBODY saw that coming. 2. Playable Assassin's Creed looked AMAZING.
  6. Hmm... I can snake easily, but I don't like using it to win cause it's lame...but when I think of blue sparks, I just love them because it makes taking turns that much more fun. Also it allows for some pretty wicked red shell dodges which are always pleasing to watch and to pull off. I've never thought of blue sparks as a bad thing because my group has unanimously decided to only use them to make awesome turns, not to exploit mini turbo. Also, I demand the return of emblems! I loved showing those off.
  7. That's a pretty solid bundle right there. Also: Puzzle Quest = the win. Even though I have it on the DS, I'm pretty sure it's the same goodness.
  8. Don't believe his lies! He doesn't love you! He's in it for the lulz! And Megadave...what was wrong with the blue sparks? I agree with the overabundance of blue shells...but not the other two.
  9. It was difficult in MK64 because of the small hop you had when you went into a slide. In DD it was because of the (what I felt to be) looser control scheme. The DS had tight controls with no hop (now it has been a while since I've touched it...I could be dead wrong with this theory) so it was the perfect medium for snaking. Yes?
  10. Really? I haven't actually watched the feed yet. I only saw the Microsoft one last night. =/ That is kind of lame I suppose... In retrospect to what I said, they should have had some guys play it for the crowd like they did with Assassin's Creed and CoD.
  11. Somehow I think that as long as there's power sliding, there will be snaking. AFAIK I've never seen the two apart.
  12. They do have the site for that, though...right?
  13. I had no need for a PS2 until I decided to buy my own DDR pads and go that route. I did have a PS1, but like Drack, I had a sweet PC and with that felt that I only needed one console. Most of my faith was with Nintendo at the time so I invested in a GCN instead of a PS2. This isn't to say I never played it. Also, I do happen to own one now for the above reason I stated and while it still doesn't get as much attention, I agree that nobody would've skipped the PS2 on games or content.
  14. It's only on the front page. >.>
  15. Hello holiday release. That'll be big bucks for sure. I just hope there isn't a shortage like the Wii.
  16. I blame E3 for that outburst.
  17. I dunno, ask dsx. At this point of the "console wars" I'm sticking to an interesting bit I heard from someone. It stated: "It isn't really a war anymore. Nintendo didn't try to prove itself to the competition because it didn't view them as competition. They let the Wii speak for itself and as such aren't in competition with the other two. As far as they're concerned, it's a one-horse race. The 360 has a year of games behind it and is doing strongly because of it. The PS3 is currently a glorified George Foreman grill. This E3 is their last chance of proving themselves or they just might have to drop out." That's definitely paraphrased and mixed and matched, but that's my general view of things now.
  18. QFT. Also Grandia III as a whole was quite disappointing, final boss included.
  19. Blu-ray is ahead of its time if it'll ever have a time. I'm not completely sold on the idea, and I think that Sony was too hasty to force it upon their consumers. There just isn't enough of a wow factor tog et people to buy PS3s. The Wii has the Wiimote and the current easy-access games along with the impending powerhouses of full-blown games designed specifically for the Wii. The 360 has got games backing it even though recently it hasn't been doing so well. I don't think that the PS3 will recover much except for the few exclusives that it will have that will force loyal fans of those series to play the game no matter what. Nintendo is just waiting on the big players to enter the arena: SSBB and MP3. The 360 surely has something going on soon...what was it called? Oh yea: Halo 3.
  20. I wouldn't take his word directly on constant attacking. I have a feeling it'll be analogous to burst fire in a FPS. Get me? He'll be mobile or w/e, but you saw it in the trailers. A quick burst of sword flurry. That's probably what is meant here.
  21. Now this is interesting news. Count me in.
  22. Isn't that only for certain types of items? There is still an anti-farm code or whatever to prevent it, but I do recall certain items always have a set drop rate regardless of what you're killing. Anyway, Dragon Festival '07 started and I'm still at work... I'll probably hop on when I get home and do the missions/arena until I get just enough tokens for the mask. This'll be the first event ever for me...in two years of play. Granted this play was quite irregular and I used to be Prophecies only. Then it's on to finishing out Factions for the first time then Prophecies again on my main in prep for EotN. Btw...I absolutely hate getting the 10k faction for a faction. I have about 9k for Kurzick already and maybe 1.5k for Luxon, but it's so imbalanced. Nobody wants to play in the Jade Quarry where both sides have an equal chance compared to the stupid Fort Aspenwood where I daresay Luxon still has a 50/50 chance of winning if they have two leechers/leavers against a full Kurzick squad. The objectives are really in the favor of the Luxons.
  23. I'm sure as hell I will if I don't get the same precise movements I used to get out of Samus...then I'll test all of the characters I can and find one I like even better in no time then think about feeling stupid about complaining in the first place but then decide not to because I'm just like every other stupid consumer that way. =D
