Liontamer Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Shawn, the Nostalgiaholic, conducted an interview with me at Nostalgiaholic.com, and I really enjoyed it! I poop on Captain N?!? Let's get nostalgic, y'all. http://www.nostalgiaholic.com/wp/309/overclocked-oji-qa/ Quote
The Orichalcon Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Ms Pacman is a bitch. Nice interview. I like the pic of the five of you guys all looking serious as you judge a remix. I wouldn't want to be the mixer on the end of that five-way gaze. Although BGC looks way too boyish to be taken seriously. Also, since when is the name "Liontamer" credible. Quote
Hy Bound Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Good interview. When i turned back after the interview to this page after having just read the Ms. PacMan -Hot or Not answer you gave, Pac Man was up at the top of the page winking knowingly and giving a big thumbs up... I found it oddly ironic... or something. Quote
Devyn Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 "Double Dragon and Double Dragon II had awesome soundtracks as well." That ain't no lie. Quote
OceansAndrew Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Nice interview I guess getting you to OCR is the one thing those terribly boring fighting game soundtracks were good for. Quote
Fishy Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 So you're never played FF7? That always surprises me for some reason. Dave hasn't played it either if I recall. Quote
zircon Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Awesome interview - a pleasure to read. It's even funnier if you've met Larry in person or heard him talk - "dayum", etc Quote
DCT Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Larry if I ever saw you smile in a picture, I'd die of complete shock. Cool interview though. Quote
Neo Samus Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Excellent interview. Did anyone notice in the header that the interviewer wrote the site address wrong? Larry “Liontamer” Oji took time out of his busy schedule as head submissions evaluator over at OverClocked ReMix.com to speak with us about his interests, experiences, and memories. This guy loves his video game music! Quote
Dhsu Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Larry if I ever saw you smile in a picture, I'd die of complete shock.Cool interview though. The Oji does not smile, except in the event of extreme emergencies, in which case his smile has been reported to blind unfortunate passers-by, deflect projectile weapons, and bring dying "bros" back to life. DCT knows this first hand, as he has actually died 3 times already but was always revived by The Oji's smile immediately afterwards. Quote
analoq Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Well deserved recognition and a good read indeed. cheers. Quote
JJT Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Thanks for the plug Larry. Also, nice interview. Quote

One smile and a couple "yo's" later, and I was cranking out phat beetz again in no time! Quote
LuigiFan Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 So since when is Blood on the Asphalt being used in the game? When did I miss that one? But anyways that's an awesome interview. (Although it's kind of weird to see the name Liontamer associated with a picture other than that little Bowser icon...) Quote
Nekofrog Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 A good read, but a little bit on the fluffy side. All in all, I'm going to have to say NO (resub) Quote
Liontamer Posted April 19, 2008 Author Posted April 19, 2008 A good read, but a little bit on the fluffy side. All in all, I'm going to have to say NO (resub) By "fluffy" you really mean greatness! As for the NO, you just don't have that judge quality behind it. Doesn't carry any weight. Quote
JJT Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 Doesn't carry any weight. In stark contrast to your mom. Quote
Liontamer Posted April 19, 2008 Author Posted April 19, 2008 In stark contrast to your mom. How anyone could confuse her loveliness for the hideous monstrosity of your mother, JigglinMomT, is a mystery. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHQZQym9WCk Quote
FR Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 This might be a really stupid question but...Do you guys actually convene like this when you judge a mix or was this photo just for the interview? Sorry if this was already answered in the interview. Nice photo btw, Zircon looks either like he hates that mix or he's trying to look cool Quote
zircon Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 That pic was from a 2007 Baltimore meetup (day before Easter, I believe.) It wasn't taken for the interview, nor do we ever actually do that to judge a mix. Still a great group pose though Quote
Liontamer Posted April 19, 2008 Author Posted April 19, 2008 And, since Shawn (Nostalgiaholic) asked as well, one little secret of that picture is that we are in fact judging a mix on zircon's laptop there. djpretzel was making a tiebreaker call that ultimately ended up in favor of GSlicer's The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 'Inverting the Tower Temple.' So enjoy it! Quote

We should have a joojes meetup and do a Live Judgement Session. We can sell tickets and make money for the site that way tool Quote
Doulifée Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 The OJA (Ocremix Judge Association) ...Great final tonight between the two last mixes of the month. Quote
