AMDgeek
Are those the only ones I can find? Some of them just don't fit the music. Also, is there an easier way of sequencing a drumset than having to do it all by hand on the sequencer? I have to cover all those sounds in one channel. Thanks in advance. Chavous
Here, everyone can have it: http://rapidshare.de/files/13150977/BollandBrassSection.SF2.html An Ktulu, google Florestan Strings, and go to soundfonts.darkesword.com and pick up squidfont. Hope that helps!
feline_ki
Ah, if that Roland Brass Section Soundfont is the one I'm thinking of, it is indeed a good one. It took me a while to find a decent-sounding Brass Section. I have two requests: First, can anyone recommend a good Orchestra Hit Soundfont? Preferrably one that sounds natural (i.e., like an actual orchestra, not the more filtered/artificial ones)? Second, Saxophones. All of the Soundfont ones I've found suck... real bad. Any recommendations? Oh, and as an aside, I highly recommend Extreme Sample Converter to anyone who works with Soundfonts. Lets you easily preview each instrument in all of your Soundfonts, and you can even export individual instruments as their own SF2 files, or export individual samples as WAVs. It works with lots of other sample formats, too.

Any recommendations? DEFINITELY the Roland Orchestral Percussion for the hits. Not only are they quality, but have several different samples based on mode (major/minor/diminished). You can get them from the URL below. You'll also find a high quality Soprano Sax soundfont here as well for your saxophone needs. Otherwise, you might try SampleTank 2 Free, which has a decent Alto Sax. http://www.guraydere.com/soundfonts/sfdetails.aspx?kat=
Catlein
I did a search, there was some discussion about it on page 7, but no results. So has anyone managed to dig up a good wind chime sample/soundfound/vst/whatever since then? Thanks.

Malcos
Does anyone know where I can find a good erhu patch? I've already got the chinese orchestral erhu soundfont, but it's not the sound I'm looking for at all. I've also got the erhu rex loops refill, but it's useless to me as I want to be able to construct proper melodies with a patch. If anyone doesn't know what an erhu is, it's that oriental violin type instrument, it was used in the Shenmue soundtrack.
Compyfox
Maybe this is something for you, Malcos: http://www.kvraudio.com/get/1949.html Else I'm pretty sure on "Quantum Leap RA", "Quantum Leap Rare Instruments" and "Heart of Asia" (was that Spectrasonics?) are Erhus. Won't get any better.

-MZ-
I'm looking for an industrial drum set (with "trash can" drums and the like). I don't know if anyone would be able to find that, but if you already have something like it, an industrial drumset would be appreciated. DZComposer
I believe it's time to ask for this one again: Any Euphoniums that aren't bundled up in other libraries?
Argle
Not sure if this is the right forum, but 1. I want rainforest ambience sounds 2. I want them to be free 3. I want them at CD quality resolution lol, is this too much to ask? I've done some research, but not really found any free stuff. I could splash out a few bucks for something, but I like free shit. BondExtreme
Does anyone know where I could find some good violin instrument sounds? I use FL Studio and the one on there now is extremely pitiful... I would appreciate it.
Spc1st
Try this one.
BondExtreme
Well that is weird.... I pasted it into the folder I want it to go in but in FL Studio it isn't in there.
Spc1st
You have to decompress it first - use sfArk.
BondExtreme
Thanks for the tip. I guess I forgot how to do that for awhile. But anyway Wow... That violin sounds awesome! Thank you so much, spc. Now maybe I can get some work done.
BondExtreme
Sorry for double posting on here but does anyone also know where I can get some voice sound fonts as in signing? Like maybe a nice choir, and just one person signing such as a female. Thank you.
superdan54
Hi I'm looking for some quality ethnic samples. Mostly Celtic, but others would be awesome too. Some primary samples I'm looking for are: Uillean Pipes, Accordion, Bodhran (Irish Drum), and an Ethnic Fiddle sound. thanks! p.s. is there anyway to search text in a specific topic? That way I don't have to scroll through 49 pages of posts just to make sure this hasn't already been requested 100 times?
Zer0
Well choirs have been requested many times before, but none of the links are working whitch is not a big surprise concerning they are so old. I need good choir ahh too. Also I would like a good flute soundfont and heavy metal guitar. Thanks from the help
sephfire
Ok, it took me long enough to read through all of these posts and I have compiled a list of VSTi's, Soundfont websites and some sample sites mainly from this forum. Thanks for compiling that list. I'll slap that on the front page.
ILLiterate
So, I always love those old school synths & drums that they use in music from movies like Breakin' and the such...but does anyone know any free soundfonts or free refills that have this kind of stuff in them? tweex
Looking for the flute (might be a pan flute) sample that you'll here in a lot of Asian traditional music. It does the strange trill in the middle of a note. Destiny uses it in her mix "Into the Deep." I've emailed her about it, but do any of you know where I might find the sample of it? I'm using Reason 3.0, so if it comes standard with the program and I'm just flat out missing it, let me know .
