Mega Man 3 'Intro (injury Mix)'

While I used to be a big fan of this mix, I find that it just doesn't seem as good anymore. Don't get me wrong, it's still a pretty good mix. The intro I think is one of the best parts of this mix. Besides that, some techno stuffs, nothing special, or anything that makes me go, "Wow." A good mix nonetheless. I recommend it to all the techno and Mega Man lovers out there. There must be a lot of them considering the amount of mixes here fitting that range.

Hey, I really like this mix. The Mega Man 3 Intro is one of my favorite songs, in fact Mega Man 3 has the best overall music in a video game I think. But if you don't like it, that's ok too I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion. And yes, I'm a Mega Man lover... sorry.

To begin: I like it.

I was just sitting here a little while ago thinking about ReMixes on this site, and how some just lack a... polished feel to them. And I was trying to think of examples of the better ones and the worse ones... I won't name any of the worse that came to mind, but this one, interestingly enough, came to mind as a good one. I like how it opens... the "whannn" sound using different vowels and pitches really appealed to me!

Now that I've been given the suggestion that this might not be as good as I always though it was, I have to consider things more specifically though. Indeed, perhaps it COULD have been better. There are better mixes of this particular song on OC Remix... which is not to say that this is bad because there have been a large number of megaman remixes that I've simply just deleted after listening to once! (hint to future remixers: the original NES track with a drum loop added is not going to stay on my PC) But yet... yet... desipte the fact that there are better... I STILL LISTEN TO THIS ONE. I don't know what keeps drawing me back... I definatly like the opening to this peice. Perhaps that's what keeps drawing me back. The rest of it is decent... so with an exceptional opening, that brings its average score up significantly! I guess that has to be it.

Nothing bad in this mix. The opening is GOOD. Works for me!

Well, for the first time listening to it (as I type this post), I must say I like what I'm hearing....now maybe if I listen to it over and over for a day or two, it will get old and boring...but I must say I think it's a good mix still, I like how he's expanding this theme and doing different things with it. Just my opinion...:?

I'm a techno fan and I can't really recommend this remix. I think there should be a little more beat and fewer cymbals.

If it is techno, it's very low-tempo techno.

Naw, maybe I have sounded a little too negative. Injury is a talented remixer. I mean, listen to her Super Mario Remix.

Keep up the good work.

this music is..... ok i guess. I don't think God kills a kitten or anything like that when someone plays this. It is fair. I wish it got heavier at some parts, that was my biggest problem. Over all 5/10 Keep trying i could tell you had good thoughts and ideas

First god only kills kittens every time you play with yourself, and second this is the best rendition of the MM3 intro I've ever heard. Injury has many other bad ace songs and this one is just icing on the cake.

in my opinion.. the megaman 3 intro is one of the all time greatest theme songs ever

its right up there with the metroid music and the zelda music

so i will listen

but not critisize

i dont wanna make the artist cry now do i?

And yes, I'm a Mega Man lover... sorry.

Is there a problem with that?!

j/k... I'm a big Blue Bomber fan, as you can see by my sig pic...

To be brutally honest, this is not nearly up to par with injury's other Megaman stuff, like "Blue Reflection" (my favorite) and "The Tallest Building." I've come to expect a lot from her since I started gettin' jiggy to the music here.

And by the way, hiyas to everyone! I'm a newcomer!

It's a decent arrangement keeping with the original, and it sounds different, but there isn't a lot of flair in this remix. It's just kinda there, and the synths are maybe a bit too chirpy, it gets on my nerves a little.

I pretty much agree with most other people on this thread.

Not bad for a first remix though... and I love her other stuff like "Blue Reflection"

I can agree with many that this one started out very smooth. A careful synth that changed between watery and trippy sounding. When the essential cymbals and bass kicked in it became slighly better. It continued with it´s calm style, didn´t want to rush anything, and you got the impression that this was just a warm-up and that the real thing would hit us like a load of bricks. But sadly, that unleash of magnificent techno never came, it kept going with the same thing over and over again until it finally faded out at the end.

I can´t really say that it sucked big time, but when it comes to megaman techno remixes, and especially those made of the intro track, you can almost expect to start swinging your body to the hectic rhytm and just party. This was different since it didn´t have any kind of signs to be hectic at all, but there´s no wrong with a fast melody turned into a trippy technobeat. It just lacked variation, but believe me, if I made a remix TWO kittens would die when someone listened to it, and we don´t want to hurt kittens, do we?

Nice work for a first remix Starla.

^I agree. I liked the beginning a lot, but the beat just wasn't fitting. It was unsteady with all the randomish cymbals and offbeat "bass drum." However, the instrumentation was good, so if the percussion were only tweaked a bit I'd probably love this remix.

I understand that this remix is a bit aged and that skills and machines have come a long way... This was pretty difficult to listen to. Seems to be a basic Midi rip with some reverb and seemingly random crash cymbals.

It took a few listens for this remix to win me over, but since then has held up on my playlist. I could easily see this being used as a replacement for the source if the game were remade. The intro's solid build-up had me thinking the mix's energy was going in one direction, but the artist's use of a deeper subtle intensity (IMO) was a good match for the hero's vulnerabilities and struggles he was about to undertake. I'll bet this 2001 track will continue to find fans. 👍👍
