prophetik music Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 uh, yeah, it's been announced for a spring 2012 release. day one purchase for me. i played the first on 360 and didn't get into it, and then played it on steam thanks to stevo bortz buying it for me and absolutely loved it. i definitely prefer it as a coop game, not a single-player game, but even still i'm definitely getting it day one. whatcha think, people? think the ending will be better? game informer's got the 'scoop' next month, so in a few weeks when i get my august edition i'll put more details up. Level 99 Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Very much looking forward to this & torchlight 2. Quote
BardicKnowledge Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Very much looking forward to this & torchlight 2. Yeah, Torchlight 2 can't come soon enough. It's nice to have fun co-op games to look forward to! Quote
Tensei Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 paging sixto to thread but yeah i'll probably be getting this, as if there aren't enough fun games coming out in the near future. Quote
Capa Langley Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Perhaps we'll get beta access to the next Duke Nukem for reals this time. Quote
Sixto Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 BRODERLAAAAANDS! I am so ready for this. I have 128 hours clocked on Borderlands 1. The co-op is soooo much fun. Quote
djpretzel Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Someone please ReMix Borderlands, it was brilliant. Hope the sequel lives up. Quote
Unstable Hamster Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Dear god the hours I have spent on this game... This was the soul sucker for me and my friend for a good month, staying up in the wee hours til our minds melted. And I'm totally gonna do it again. Quote
Tensei Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 The only Borderlands song that stood out as more than just background fluff is the intro song, which AFAIK is licensed. So yeah. Quote
Brandon Strader Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Someone please ReMix Borderlands, it was brilliant. Hope the sequel lives up. Here's a Borderlands remix from the last MAGFest Month, by vikingguitar Borderlands 2, do want.. I only have 69 hours clocked on Borderlands But still need to finish the claptrap DLC Quote
big giant circles Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Very much looking forward to it. But I do hope they expand on it well, and not basically make it seem like just a longer DLC. New characters, new abilities, new guns, new terrain, new plot and twists, new monsters, new NPC's, any and/or all of those are things I would hope to see. Quote
Brandon Strader Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 I agree with bgc, also I would like to see the level go beyond 60. I'd like to see some truly badass monsters that are like... level 120. Quote
Elex Synn Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Borderlands, which I was playing on Steam, has been the only FPS I've really played and genuinely enjoyed. From the opening music to the overall feel of the game, I got really into it. I should really see about completing the game... Quote
prophetik music Posted August 4, 2011 Author Posted August 4, 2011 i'm hoping they offer four- and ten-packs. i'm assuming they'll do four-packs, but a ten-pack would be even cooler. Quote
Graycascade Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 I should really see about completing the game... Do it. The ending isn't anything to write home about, but playthrough 2-3 are when it really starts getting fun. Quote
Flare4War Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Definitely interested. I hope they make the 1 and 2 player play through more difficult. I imagine Borderlands 2 will be awesome though. I had tons of fun with the first one. Quote
XZero Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 I hope they keep the tone just like the first game's DLC and not like its main storyline. The main plot was ridiculous. It was super-serious, so much so that the jokes and characters seemed out of place. The DLC nailed it, with some truly laugh out loud moments and generally good times had by all. Also, for FPS games, online co-op is a big thing for me these days, so I'm hoping they retain the option to complete the whole story with a friend online. Quote
prophetik music Posted August 4, 2011 Author Posted August 4, 2011 i doubt they'd remove the 4-player coop option, since that's one of the big selling points for the game. Quote
SynthesizedStampede Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 So excited about the announcement of Borderlands 2. I played the PC version to death with a couple friends and am pretty sure we're going to get into this one as well. Hope they fix a few of minor gripes I had with the first one, such as having no minimap on the HUD or not being able to set your own waypoints. Quote
Jamphibious Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 I picked up the first Borderlands on Steam during their summer sale (a bit late to the party), and its a pretty damn cool game. I've recently gotten more into co-op games (quit MMOs for more single player a while back, and its a nice middle ground). Its hard to say this will be a day one buy for me, with the plethora of awesome games coming out in the next while, but it certainly interests me. Can't wait for more info. Quote
Brandon Strader Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 So this thing is coming out in a week for real. I'm looking for some co-op! Add me on STEAM if you're interested or send me a visitor message with your steam name. I think mine is brandons Quote

I got it in the steam summer sale, and I played it to death. Went with the soldier, and dumped all my points into ammo and health regeneration, ammo increases and cover fire for the turret. It works pretty well, but I haven't really gotten to try it out for multiplayer. Also, Krom's Sidearm is fucking awesome, and I still use it, despite there being better guns out there. Borderlands 2 will be bought, but only after I get done with all this work and I have free time again. Quote
