KyleJCrb Report post Posted December 18, 2011 Guys, guys, guys, you clearly have priorities are all wrong. This thread is about how INCREDIBLE this song is, not how many balls the series has been sucking since FFVIII.

KyleJCrb Report post Posted December 18, 2011 UHHHHH Final Fantasy IX is fucking awesome??????IX got lucky, but I chalk that up to being inspired by the older games.
Bleck Report post Posted December 18, 2011 UHHHHH Final Fantasy IX is fucking awesome??????I actually love X as well but nobody else here seems to so blah.final fantasies ix and x are both good examples of what I was talking about beforeI like both of these games I really do but the combat system is pretty much exactly the same as it has been since ffvi despite the subtle (and meaningless) nuances
Brandon Strader Report post Posted December 18, 2011 If it ain't broke don't fix it. Just look at Blue Dragon. That game and its battle system were amazing. A little too easy, but they had a "hard mode" you could unlock or download or something. And new game+. I'm gonna do it someday.
Melbu Frahma Report post Posted December 18, 2011 Wrong game.Lol. Meant Tidus - my tired brain switched names. And that wasn't an entirely fair statement, once I thought about it; it was probably closer to half an hour after you meet Yuna.

EC2151 Report post Posted December 19, 2011 Still doesn't hold a candle to Oh it tries, believe me, it tries. Tries, and fails. It just gets the colder shoulder.Admirable attempt though. I mean, to be fair, all game music has been in decline since the release of Unknown for M.E., but that's how it goes.
Bleck Report post Posted December 19, 2011 knuckles is the greatest video game character of all time so it would follow that his theme would be something as amazing as unknown from me
The Legendary Zoltan Report post Posted December 19, 2011 Every one who thinks Crazy Chocobo was disheartening, Isn't this exactly what you wanted? This seems to be the real chocobo theme.
Gario Report post Posted December 19, 2011 Actually, I kind of like this song. Not that I've played a Final Fantasy since IX, so I suppose my opinion on the matter is meaningless.
Chernabogue Report post Posted December 19, 2011 Never played a FF after X, except XII:RW on DS.The first song was, uh, bizarre. The second one was more classic IMO.
Mirby Report post Posted December 19, 2011 Wait a minute... it's Rodeo de Chocobo...Crazy Chocobo mentions a chocorodeo...D: CRAZY CHOCOBO REFERENCES THIS SONG!

The Legendary Zoltan Report post Posted December 21, 2011 Honestly, I don't see why you guys aren't flying off the hook about this. The name of the song is RODEO de Chocobo. . . RODEO! There's going to be freaking chocobo rodeo in the game! How awesome would it be if it was a bucking chocobo-back riding mini game. Screw racing them. 8 seconds on a thrashing chocobull sounds way better to me.
Arek the Absolute Report post Posted December 21, 2011 my biggest hit on most of you all is that half of you gave up on the game before the parts that really made it goodif you are talking about the part where you finally get to freeroam a bit, then all i gotta say is NO BRO, NOit takes WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY too god damn long to get there. its literally at the game's halfway point. no, fuck that noise. that should never be a reason to play the game. "play for 20 hours or so, then the game actually gets bearable."fuck that noise manthere is no reason it or ANY game should take that long for the game to get decent. it should draw you in the first moments you play it, not 20 hours in. that is fucking horrible. But FF7 had the best battle system. Materia is where it's at. FF8 had the second-best, drawing magic from enemies and adding its power to your stats was incredible.i loved ff8's battle system except for one thingit discouraged you from using magiceverif you junctioned 100 of a spell that was strong, you would never use it because if you did your stats would drop. that was the biggest downfall of that systemi actually talked a lot about it with a friend of mine. there is such a simple fix to this that would make it seriously one of the best ever. cap junctioning to 50 instead of 100. this would actually give you incentive to cast the magic you have instead of just letting it sit there as stat boosters.too bad they probably will never revisit that battle system again

LuketheXjesse Report post Posted December 21, 2011 Final Fantasy VIII's battle system was god awful and throughout the entire ending I kept asking myself WHAT'S GOING ON!?!?!?However I do agree with Arek that with a few tweaks it would have been fairly awesome. Bleck Report post Posted December 21, 2011 about 10-13ish hours in things start to fall together storywise and it gives you new combos of classes to play with to the point where setting up paradigms really makes a heavy difference in how fights goten hours is still an extremely long time to wait for a video game to actually start being fun
EC2151 Report post Posted December 21, 2011 And if by "fun" you mean having all of your characters on auto-battle and the only thing making a difference to the outcome of battles is not any skill or management on your part but your ability to switch to the right paradigm at the right time.
