Benjamin Briggs Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 yeah he essentially nailed every single thing that makes me hate that game
Thylacine Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 Special Edition of ZP: Video Game Voters Network
Mr. Bottle Rocket Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Fuck yeah, A:tDD and fuck yeah a "positive" review for it.
Bleck Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 There's a lot more you can do on the topic of alien environment without resorting to those tropes. they did this in mp2: echoes and everyone complained that the environments were bland
Scufo Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 But then, MP2 used the arguably blander design choice of light/dark worlds.
JCvgluvr Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 The more Yahtzee said "Abloogy woogy woo," the harder I laughed! Good stuff.
EC2151 Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 I had actually almost forgotten how cool the locales of MP2 were. Science City, Swamp, Desert, Temple Complex...
Thin Crust Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 I'm shocked. He didn't use that guys face in this review.
The Author Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Another game Yahtzee likes, funny how he's been on a streak after Other M.
Chernabogue Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Castlevania: Lords of Shadow OMGoW This one was cool. XD
Sindra Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Castlevania: Lords of Shadow He pretty much nailed it. It's Castlevania in pretty much name-only. Valid attempt at rebooting the series again, but fell very short and seems like the "Castlevania" part didn't come into play until over halfway-through production. The thing is that the music could have made my outlook on the game better, however all but a teeny-tiny snippet that's hidden in a puzzle is completely new stuff that sounds very little like past CV tunes. Great tunes to be sure, but I got no Castlevania vibe from them. To me, that's a staple of past games that should not be ignored. That's the CV snob in me, though.
Modus Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 Amnesia: The Dark Descent I was really surprised he didn't mention that the price is only $20. People cry about CoD's iffy $60 price tag but what about the opposite? I think it deserves a mention. I saw a preview video for this game, and... it scared me. Now I see the positive reviews among critics and users and even Yahtzee's "approval" AND the price tag. Seems like a must have!
