  1. I'd care if they crash the game.... but then again, if I wanted to have fun, I wouldn't be playing 2 minute matches with random strangers.
  2. How about confusing the hell out of other players?? Others not being able to tell what moves you're doing would be a pretty pig advantage I'd think.... I mean YES, this hack offers NO ADVANTAGE and it would be STUPID to use it online...! Anyway... list time! Model/Character with Animations/"Moveset" Kirby with Metaknight Meta with Kirby Gannondorf with Sonic (he might look REALLY COOL with creepy hands!) Samus with Peach SSZ with Peach Marth with Peach (will you be able to tell the difference???) Kirby with Bowser Mario with Bowser ANYONE with Wario, Donkey, or Diddy!! WARIO WITH ZELDA/SHIEK!!!! All the ones in those videos were pretty lame (except for Mini Mario!) ....I wonder if all the awesome ones crashed the game... because they were TOO AWESOME?!!
  3. Woah, the sudden accent change is a bit unnecessary... I don't like it, but then again I don't really care. Starfox 64 Wolf VA to Brawl Wolf VA: "You're good. But I'm BETTAH!" [Edit] BAHAHAHA!! You can see it coming a mile away, but the voice-overs are priceless.
  4. Is there some way to save replays of matches that are longer than 3 minutes? Can you save just part of it (even if you can't choose what part that is)?
  5. Now that you give those hints, it's obviously: Rockman But I like V___'s answer better [Edit] I still don't get what Wile E coyot- oh wait, nevermind XD [Edit] Maybe it would've been a better puzzle if the pictures were arranged in 3x3 squares. Actually, that might have been TOO obvious... you should've just stuck with 1 particular megaman game, and used a 3x3 grid with the boss pics in the same positions they're in in the game (if you know what I'm talking about). The middle one could be a rock, or guy playing rock music. That 1000000 dollar bill thing is cryptic as hell, unless people actually call it a "megabill". =p [Edit] Try not to think of how a person would interpret the pictures AFTER they know the answer, but BEFORE they know the answer. Because without those hints, NOBODY would be able to figure that thing out. Many of the pics are extremely cryptic even after the answer is known... I've got a puzzle that's a bit easier though. The answer is my password for the OCR forums.... GO!
  6. Is it: Computers? The Internet?
  7. Yes! Here's hoping Subspace Emissary has him flying around the galaxy in his ship, using his force powers to choke minions he doesn't agree with. As Fox, you'd have to pilot an Arwing through a giant death-star-esque weapon-planet that looks like this. At the end of the level, you and Metaknight would pick up beam swords and fight to the death. And then [insert Hispanic stereotype here]! Also, where else have I heard "Victory, *pause* is my destiny." said in exactly that same fashion? Probably Soul Calibur 2, they say things like that all the time. Yoshimitsu?? OH WAIT it's Warcraft 3, haha! The guy in WC3 (Orc Far Seer) also has a very similar voice to Metaknight when he says it. Coincidence??? And Meta's "Know my power!" sounds so much like a literal command, rather than an "Arg, generic battle cry directed at no one!" statement. He doesn't want to show off, he just want you to know his power. So awesome I think Pit's voice is worse than all the other bad voices' badness combined into one bad thing of bad worstness. He's all annoying and mumbly and thinks he's the coolest kid in angeltown so he has to go up to random people and yell about how they can't beat him and then yells mumbly commands to all his "prunes". I really hope he's not as bad as that sound test makes him sound... Doesn't sound like Cubert at all to me, but he DOES sound familiar sort of.... [Edit] This is true. Behind that mask - it's your face.
  8. Did I say 38? I meant 48, heh (fixed in above post). I have no clue what 38 is ><
  9. 12 songs for me! Although I recognized remixes of about 5 more of them, which I'm sure I could look up on OCR. Man, very nostalgia-tastic! And a third of them sounded like Castlevania songs so I kept typing in "Castlevania 2" *backspace* "3" *backspace* "4"... and Number 18 is really bugging me, I can't stop listening to it and not remembering what this funky goodness is!!! And I can't believe 16 is on there...! It seems to be a different system than what I played it on too. That game is so bad it's good And song 36 - I didn't know that game existed! I couldn't stop grinning when I realized where that tune was from, five seconds after the song had finished Trouble with 3 and 48??! That's unpossible! 3 especially, as it's been remixed time and time again in newer installments... But some REAL feedback: All the while I was thinking it'd be cool if games in the same row or column as each other all had something in common - it'd be fun to decipher what these commonalities are, and they'd serve as hints for those songs you just ALMOST know.
  10. I haven't read the stuff here, but here's my two cents: I think the Wii remote (or remote + nunchuck) doesn't have enough buttons. Or rather, enough buttons that are simultaneously accessible. As a guy who likes to design games in his spare time, I find that the lack of convenient buttons is extremely limiting. If I'm trying to, say, port a keyboard/mouse FPS control scheme to the Wii, it becomes very difficult; Metroid Prime 3 only managed to pull it off by getting rid of functionality (e.g. beam switching), and using some of those buttons that are annoying to press ("1" and "2"). The Wii remote on its side distinctly lacks shoulder buttons, which IMO makes it inferior to the controls of the Gameboy Advance (which I think are superb, aside from an awkward start/select). Games like Super Paper Mario needed to use unintuitive gestures instead of buttons - and by gosh they did a good job of it, but my point is that the Wii controller's lack of buttons FORCED them to do it a certain way. Then again, I sometimes think that mice should have more buttons (that thumb's just sitting there!!), but then all our hands would all fall off by the age of fifty. I'm just gonna throw this design out here... here's what might be nice for the sequel to the Wii: - Take the Wii remote - Remove the part with the D-pad - Change A into 4 buttons a la SNES - Rename B to R, because really it's a shoulder button - Plus and Minus suck, remove one of them - Drop 1 and 2 (no "turn-it-sideways" option for this guy!) - Take the nunchuk - Make the control stick not suck. Might as well change it to a d-pad. - Remove either C or Z, because you can't press them both at the same time anyway. Call the one that's still there "L" - Add a Start button to the right of the d-pad. - Add pointing capabilities to the nunchuck. WHERE ARE THE GAMES WHERE YOU USE TWO Wii REMOTES AS GUNS??? - The Wii remote+nunchuk leaves you with no support for your two free hands; there must be a way connect the two together into one stable form! And there you have it - a Super Nintendo controller with motion sensing and pointing capabilities, and the ability to separate it into two pieces. Bah, I know nothing about controllers, I shouldn't even be in this thread. Completely unrelated note: I can only hope there's an "Accordion Hero" game in the making. Even if it just has 5 keys or buttons, it would be so amazing...
  11. And the Dojo continues to not disappoint! Also yesterday/today was Samus' moves update - looks like the moves are exactly the same! Ah well, I'm not complaining =) I was mostly curious about how much delay is before each move, but I guess none of the updates show that...
  12. But you have to admit, it takes balls to attempt something like that. (Sorry, I couldn't resist!)
  13. I'M SPEECHLESS.... somebody actually chose the Widescreen option on their standard aspect ratio TV!!! AHAHAHA now the Dojo update about choosing your display setting has increased in comedic value: http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/gamemode/various/various15.html Also that stage looks incredibly lame, and is being played by 4 comps =/ ......and maybe they actually DO have a widescreen TV, but scrunched the video down for Youtube??
  14. I know nothing about Brawl, but it seemed Sheik in that video was always blindly diving towards Marth and subsequently getting SMAAAAASHED - really all of Marth's KOs were caused by Sheik being careless and running/falling right in front of Marth when he's got a smash attack (or Standard Special move?) half charged up. That video didn't tell me much about how good those characters are... Marth DOES look like a fierce edge guarder though. And Marth in a flowing white gown- er, cape, makes Sheik in black look so badass =p All the Final Destination videos I've seen have that same song; are there other songs you can use for this stage, or is that one just the best?? And speaking of projectiles: since it looks like Sakurai's going to wait another few weeks for the Samus Special Moves update; how are Samus's projectiles this time around? And what's the story with the green Super Missiles? =D I'll be slightly disappointed if Samus's "projectile game" isn't strong, seeing as how her defining trait is that HER ARM IS A GUN. I'm also curious how Jigglypuff's defining trait is doing: how's the singing move this time around?
  15. Hmm, it seems Brawl doesn't have the theme song from the "2006 Nintendo World Trailer"... that was my favourite one... =( http://www.gametrailers.com/player/15289.HHHHHHHHHhtml Or, it was before I heard all 50 main theme remixes in the soundtrack =p I can't imagine what they must have told Nobuo... "You must create a theme song that's so good, that we can make dozens of different faithful covers of it that play 50% of the time Brawl is running, and even seasoned Brawl players will never get tired of hearing it." Nobuo: "k brb!!" To view the link, remove ".HHHHHHHHHhtml" from the URL and replace it with ".html". It took me about 5 minutes to get the URL to display without it AUTO-F***ING-MATICALLY changing to a big-ass video box in the middle of my post. Even if I change the URL, it turns it into a stupid box and cuts off the last half of the post for no reason!! I remove the URL tags in an attempt to display the URL as plain text; it ADDS THE URL TAGS BACK IN AND TURNS IT INTO A F***ING BOX!!!! I put CODE TAGS around the URL, and it STILL turns it into a box! Image tags, html tags, quote tags - yes, let's ignore those and assume that I want my link to be a stupid giant-ass box! Clearly I'm too dumb to know when I'm posting a link to a video - I'm so glad the system read my mind and knows that when I post a URL in the middle of a sentence http://www.gametrailers.com/player/30393.html like that, it means I want it in a giant annoying box. AND NOW I ONLY GET A MAXIMUM OF 4 EMOTICONS TO EXPRESS MY FRUSTRATION. THIS IS TOTAL BS. Seriously, who here (if anyone) has control over this giant video box stuff, and who should I complain to? (Icy floors in the Brawl stage editor HOORAH!!)
  16. I could not resist. Do you want your name all lowercase, no spaces?
  17. Is the stage interaction so bad when you consider the slower falling speed in Brawl? I mean, in Melee I can't handle certain stage interaction (and certain STATIONARY stages) because the characters fall so damn fast and the horizontal movement is very unnatural (until you get used to it I suppose), but in SSB64 I can handle all the "zany" stuff because I have much better control of my character. How are Brawl's stages compared to the stuff (tornadoes, Arwings, moving platforms) in SSB64? By the way I added some punctuation to your post:
  18. Ah, well, you got mine, best of luck! =D I think many remixers haven't answered yet because the thread title didn't change. And at this point is Narshe going to be remixed?
  19. Was it? Yes, that's exactly what I'm asking It feels funny to be referring to Brawl stuff in past tense now. Because in SSB64 a meteor smash was basically an instant kill no matter how much damage you had. Naturally I'd assume Brawl does it the Melee way, but the Dojo description made me a little unsure: Oh yes, and: "For the Ice Climbers, only Nana can do meteor smashes!" I must correct myself: There's a slightly informative bit about meteor smashing...
  20. And the Dojo continues to be interesting! Today's update shows that Bowser's grabbing "suicide" move (forward special) is more interesting than it looks - Bowser's opponent can "fight back" and change their horizontal movement in the air to a certain extent, depending on how high their damage meter is (and Bowser's damage too). Also there's a totally uninformative bit about meteor smashing... I assume in Brawl your opponent goes down further when they have more damage?
  21. Heh, I could have guessed what a combo was, I just wanted to be the voice of the "casual" Smash Bros player. ....So all the Melee "combo videos" on youtube: those chains of attacks make it physically impossible for the other guy to escape? That's pretty insane... and the importance of learning combos in pro play actually makes a lot of to me sense now. I thought Melee enthusiasts didn't like SSB64 because it's too hard to escape from combos....
  22. So is a punching bag. I want REAL answers darn it, I don't have all day!! Oh wait I DO have all day... well I'll just be going then......
  23. Don't worry, I don't think it's a favourites thread http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01234/ Earthbound - Dreaming on Distant Shores http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01632/ A DKC1 underwater remix is a must! There was a much more "aquatic" one over at VGMix 2, but it seems to be gone now... http://smproject.ocremix.org/files.html#Joel - Track 13 (Maridia 2) - this one's a lot different and not so electronic... more "hauntingly beautiful" than anything, it might not fit... [Edit] Looking at the thread title now, it almost positively won't fit =[ http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01507/ Torvus Clockwork Why are you compiling this by the way?
